Underwater Egg Hunt 2:30 pm-5:00 pm Ages 4-10 Start your afternoon at the Cherokee County Aquatic Center in the underwater egg hunt. Ages 4-6 will search for eggs in the shallow water while ages 6-10 will dive for eggs in the deeper water. Bring your swimsuit, towel, goggles and a change of clothes. Egg hunts will run in 15 minute time slots. We will provide a basket to you for the event but all baskets must be returned with eggs after the event. We will have prizes for all kids! Outside Egg Hunt 2:00 pm-2:15pm Ages 1-3 Join us outside on the grounds of the Aquatic Center for a traditional egg hunt for the younger children. Ready, Set, Hunt! Children must supply their own baskets and return eggs after the hunt. There will be prizes and candy for those that collect eggs. Extravaganza 2:00 pm-5:00 pm Stay a while and enjoy inflatables, face painting, egg decorating, contests, prizes and maybe even a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny himself. Open Gym The Recreation Center Gym is available for open play when no program or rental is scheduled. Call prior to your visit for open gym hours. The fees for open gym are $2 each day for adults and $1 each day for children ages 12 and under. Advisory Board A Recreation Advisory Board has been appointed by the Board of Commissioners to act as a guide for CRPA in planning and implementation of public recreational activities and programs as well as offering advice on a system of parks and facilities that will accommodate the needs of the public. Board members’ terms run concurrent with appointing Board of Commissioners. Photograph/Video Policy On occasion, CRPA may photograph or videotape registrants, participants, and spectators in Agency programs, special events, or facilities. Such photographs are for Agency use only and may be used in publications, brochures, pamphlets, flyers, websites or video productions.

By Request Only. Children must be at least 5 years of Age Private lessons are not guaranteed, as priority is given to group lessons. All Private lessons are 30 minutes long. Requests are handled in the order they’re received. New requests must be filled out for every session you wish to have lessons. CCAC will not pair Semi-Private lessons. Requests will only be considered if they’re filled out completely, this includes contact information. Lessons are usually offered in packs of 4, 6 or 8 lessons depending on the session (most sessions do not have 8 classes available).
Build on the skills learned in Levels 1 and 2 to help participants achieve basic water competency in a pool environment. Improve participants’ proficiency in performing the swimming strokes that were introduced in Level 3. Help participants refine their performance of all six swimming strokes (i.e., front crawl, back crawl, butterfly, breaststroke, elementary backstroke and sidestroke) Water adjustment and introduction to swimming skills.

Registration is available online at www.crpa.net by clicking the “Register Now” button on the left of the page, or at the Cherokee County Aquatic Center Front Desk. Registration for all classes ends 5 days before the first class of the session at 5:00pm. Classes with fewer than 3 students will be cancelled. Late registration will be charged a fee of $5.00. Late registration is not guaranteed. Please note, make-up lessons are not offered unless the class is cancelled by the Aquatic Center for unforeseen circumstances. We accept Cash, Check, Visa, Master Card, & Discover. All Debit/Credit cards will be charged a transaction fee.

If you cancel a session 11 or more days prior to the first class, you can receive a refund less the $5 processing fee. To request a refund, you must fill out a refund request form at the Aquatic Center Front Desk.

SAFETY CLASSES ARC Lifeguard Class‐ Blended Learning Ages: 15 years or older Min/Max: 6/12 Cost: $200
This class will provide you with an American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR for Professional Rescuer, Nationally recognized Certification. You must be 15 years of age by the last day of class and be able to complete the following skills on the first day to be able to continue the class: swim 300 yds. Continuously, tread water for two minutes legs only, and retrieve 10lb. brick from 7 ft of water. Students must attend every day of class, and be on time to class, and pass all exams to become certified.
For this class you will need to come prepared to swim every day, and be on the floor for training. Please bring a packed lunch or you may purchase food at our concessions stand. Blended learning will have about 7 hours of online learning that students will need to start before the first day of class.

SPLISH SPLASH CAMPS The Splish Splash Break Camp at the Cherokee County Aquatic center is a fun way for your children (Ages 6-13) to spend their school breaks! We have lots of pool fun and take a couple of offsite trips to break up the week. All children must be able to swim 25 yards continuously without assistance or stopping to be eligible for this camp. Price for the camp includes a tee-shirt, trips and lunch on trip days. SUMMER CAMPS ADVENTURES EXPRESS SUMMER DAY CAMP Adventures Express offers a wide variety of activities and field trips weekly. Each child will need to bring a lunch and two snacks daily. Lemonade will be provided during in‐house days at lunch only. Payment is expected at the time of registration. K.A.O.S. CAMP For the thirteenth summer, CRPA is offering K.A.O.S. Camp! This exclusive camp is designed for those that have special needs and want a place to hang out over the summer. There will be a 3:1 ratio of experienced counselors and staff to the participants, and we will go on three field trips weekly. Other activities include arts and crafts, exploring our parks, swimming, bowling, and laser tag, just to name a few. Children need to bring a lunch and two snacks daily, unless noted otherwise on schedule. Most importantly, kids will experience independence while being surrounded by peers their own age. No before or extended care will be offered for K.A.O.S. camp. CULTURAL ARTS MUSIC TOGETHER – This nationally and internationally acclaimed early childhood program is designed for young children and the adults who love them. This marks the first production of Donizetti’s bel canto jewel in The Atlanta Opera’s history. SPECIAL EVENTS GUNS AND HOSES 5K RUN/WALK AND 1 MILE FUN RUN Together with the Cherokee County Fire Department (Hoses) and the County Sheriff’s Office (Guns), Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency will be hosting its 11th annual 5K Run/Walk and Fun Run. The purpose of the run is to raise money for charity causes selected by both groups. This year, the charity for CCFD will be The Goshen Valley Boys Ranch which is a non‐profit home serving young men in the state foster care system. The charity for Cherokee Sheriff’s Office will be the Cherokee Sheriff’s Foundation which provides funding for charities and people in need locally in Cherokee County. When registering, you will pick the team that you want to represent and a portion of your fee will go towards their chosen charity. (Shirt size selections will be guaranteed for those that register by February 10th ONLY). All 1 mile Fun Run participants will earn a commemorative medal. For the 5K race, awards will be given in both male and female divisions and in a variety of age groups as well. REGISTRATION INFORMATION General Information Registration begins Monday, February 6, 2017 for most programs. Early registration is not permitted. Registration can be completed online (for most programs) or in person at the Recreation or Aquatic Center. Returned checks are subject to a $35 fee. A transaction fee is charged on ALL debit/credit card purchases. Registration is taken during normal business hours at the Recreation Center. Registration and Pass sales are available from 9am to 30 minutes prior to close at the Aquatic Center. When paying in cash, please have the correct amount. Cancellation Policy All classes not meeting minimum enrollment will be postponed or canceled. Program minimums are five (5) participants unless otherwise noted. If your class is cancelled, you will be notified. Classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment, inclement weather or instructor availability. A full refund will be given for cancellation of classes. Credit/Refund Information All refund/credit requests must be completed in person during regular business hours. Refund/credit requests must be completed at least five (5) working days prior to the beginning date of the program. Refund/credit requests must be in writing and are subject to approval by the Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency staff. Refunds may take up to 30 days for processing. There are No Cash Refunds. Participants requesting a refund will be charged a $5 administrative fee. Family Discount Family discounts may be offered for some programs Music Together may vary by session Scholarship Program A family or individual can apply for a scholarship one time per calendar year (1/1‐12/30). Some restrictions DO apply. Applications must be received five (5) business days prior to the end registration date. Call 770‐924‐7768 for details and applications. Registration Requirements All children ages 4 and over registering for programs that do not allow for parental supervision must continent. If the participant requires any special accommodations, the ADA Compliance Coordinator is required to be notified within fifteen (15) business days prior to the beginning of the program in order to attempt to accommodate. Age and gender requirements can be found under the program descriptions on each page. Participants (or their parents or guardians) must sign waiver/release form prior to participation in any program. Payment received after the second class may be subject to a $5 late fee.
