THIS SERIES… I worked around the Dalle Beaugrennelle because it’s one of my favorites places in Paris. This is where I learned a lot about managing light, contrast and it’s an endearing place. In the middle of these Metropolis-type towers it looks a bit like the 70’s and 80’s. It’s also the last place in Paris where people had the right to erect buildings that high. There was a push to create a residential mix in this area but it didn’t work out and the Dalle is in a new phase of rehabilitation. SOMETHING URBAN... The only word “urban” evokes a photographic kingdom to me, where anything is possible, all kinds of surprises. Beyond my attachment to the city and its material, I hold a reflexion about the mutations of our heritage. I really love transition places in pictures, and the urban setting is filled with them. YOUR UPCOMING PROJECTS… I’d like to work on an exhibition based on old people portraits. I would like to work with old people. I’m fascinated by their stories… I really consider pictures a bit as a way to simply tell stories. http://www.memoiresdevilles.book.fr/
