Autumn Bloom is a story about love, longing and theatre. By combining the eternal stories from Slovenian cultural space and characters with which generations of Slovenes have identified in the past and still do today, the performance builds a bridge between the past and the present, and explains where we were while asking where we are now. The story unfolds through scenes and phrases borrowed from Slovenian literature, from Prežihov Voranc through Ivan Cankar to Ivan Tavčar, all of whom have left an imprint on the minds of Slovenes.

⇢ The performance directed by Marko Čeh is neither illustratively sentimental nor cynical; it insists neither on reconstruction nor on aggressive transformation. And yet, it is all of the aforesaid, and therefore suffused with the constant intertwining of permeating nostalgia for the noble emotional models of the past, into which repeatedly intrudes an exasperating distance characterizing today's superior and cold-blooded omniscience.
