1 ‘Family of dead man grasps for answers‘ Kansas City Star Wow. What a fascinating read that combined the study of a man, a family, an ethnic group, a culture, an investigation and much more. The writer was able to interweave all sides of the story without it getting murky to the reader. The parts to the story were broken up appropriately, but beyond that added to the story -- not something that you often see. Conclusion of the story left the reader thinking about it for some time, as the writer was able to give a vivid description of a man, and to some a hero, committing suicide in extreme detail, yet not to the point where the story became X-rated. 2nd ‘London calling - Former Butler’s athlete’s journey leads to Olympics’ Wichita Eagle rd 3 ‘A Bengal in the grass’ Hutchinson News st

‘Follow the Star‘ Leader & Times Since the nativity is being moved indoors, the photo matches its new setting. Both people seem to be in character as they are not directly looking into the camera, and they are presumably wearing the new costumes. ‘The big catch‘ Manhattan Mercury The title of the photo is a bit misleading. You expect to see a fish somewhere, but instead you get the subject as the real catch. Having the subject placed in the center of the frame wearing his fishing gear, flashing a confident smile and holding his rod relaxed behind him like a weight bar definitely conveys the message - he won this by himself, and it took a lot of personal strength. The rushing water behind him adds interest to the scene and is a fitting setting. Repositioning the subject slightly so the sun wasn’t so harsh on his face could have prevented the squinting.
