NEWYDDION GAN Y CYNG PETER EVANS A’CH TÎM PLAID CYMRU

Newidiadau i’w cyflwyno yn y Gwanwyn Yn sgìl ymyrraeth gan y Cynghorydd Sir Plaid Cymru, Peter Evans, mae datrysiad posib wedi cael ei gynnig i’r cyfyngiadau parcio presennol ar hyd y stryd fawr yn Llandysul. Mewn cyfarfod a drefnwyd gan Elin Jones AC yn Llandysul yn ddiweddar, fe gytunodd yr Aelod o Gabinet Cyngor Sir Ceredigion sydd â chyfrifoldeb dros drafnidiaeth, y Cyng Alun Williams, nad yw’r cyfyngiadau parcio presennol yn cwrdd ag anghenion pobl y pentref, ac fe gytunodd i ymestyn yr amser parcio am ddim yn unol â’r dymuniadau lleol. Dywedodd y Cyng Peter Evans: “Rwy’n falch ein bod wedi adnabod ffordd ymlaen ar y mater hwn, ond ychydig fisoedd wedi imi gael fy ethol i gynrychioli’r pentref. Mae’r Cyng Alun Williams wedi cytuno nad yw’r sefyllfa bresennol yn addas ac y bydd y Cabinet Plaid Cymru newydd yng Ngheredigion yn cefnogi cyfyngiadau newydd”. Bydd y Cyngor Sir yn awr yn cychwyn ymgynghoriad cyn y Nadolig i gael parcio am awr o hyd ar y brif stryd, a chyfyngiad o ddwyawr ar y ffordd waelod. Bydd mannau parcio heb gyfyngiad hefyd yn cael eu darparu ger Stryd y Bont. Os na fydd unrhyw wrthwynebiad i’r cynigion, bydd y newidiadau’n cael eu cyflwyno yn y Gwanwyn. Ychwanegodd Aelod Cynulliad Ceredigion, Elin Jones: “Roedd nifer o bobl Llandysul wedi cysylltu gyda mi ynghylch yr angen i allu parcio am gyfnodau hirach yn y pentref, fel bod gan bobl mwy o amser i ddefnyddio siopau lleol. Rwyf felly’n gobeithio y gwelwn Cyng Peter Evans: Arbedwch Betrol, Prynwch yn Lleol – diolch i well parcio yn Llandysul gyfyngiadau parcio newydd cyn gynted â phosib”.

NEWS FROM CLLR PETER EVANS AND YOUR LOCAL PLAID CYMRU

Parking restrictions update Agreement has been reached on the way forward on parking restrictions along Llandysul’s high street, following an intervention by Plaid Cymru County Councillor Peter Evans. At a meeting organised by Elin Jones AM in Llandysul recently, Ceredigion County Council’s Cabinet member with responsibility for transport, Cllr Alun Williams, agreed that the current parking restrictions didn’t meet the needs of local residents and agreed to revise the time limits according to local wishes. Cllr Peter Evans said: “I’m pleased that we’re finally seeing some progress on this matter, only a few months after I was elected to represent the village. Cllr Alun Williams has agreed that the current situation is impractical and has said that the new Plaid Cymru Cabinet in Ceredigion will support the revised limits”. The County Council will now launch a consultation before Christmas on plans to allow an hour of parking on the high street, and a two-hour limit on the lower street. Restriction-free parking bays will also be provided by Bridge Street. These changes will be introduced in the Spring as long as there are no objections. Ceredigion’s Assembly Member, Elin Jones, added: “I’ve been approached by many Llandysul residents regarding the need for longer parking limits in the village, so that people have enough Cllr Peter Evans: Save Petrol, Buy Local – time to visit local shops. I therefore hope that the revised thanks to better parking in Llandysul parking limits can be introduced as soon as possible”.
