Important Information… 

Students will be grouped by grade level.

Students may combine any half-day program with another half-day program. When combining halfday programs lunch is included.

Students may enroll in either one or both weeks unless otherwise noted.

Classes are subject to sufficient enrollment and limited space.

There is a $25 fee for any changes in program registration. Changes may only be made with permission of the Director of Summer Programs and is based upon space availability. All summer programs (with the exception of Overnight Swim Camp) will be closed Thursday, July 4th in celebration of the Independence Day holiday.

Summer Programs Tuition in non-refundable

Registration forms should be submitted no later than May 20, 2013.

Register as early as possible as sessions fill up quickly.

Summer Programs Baseball and Softball Camps In addition to teaching core batting, pitching, catching, and fielding skills, these Camps will provide training in team play and game strategy. Coaches will use innovative techniques to teach boys and girls how to combine solid skills instruction with the fun of learning the game.

Panther Boys Basketball Camp This program focuses on developing team play and improving individual skills. Emphasis will be placed on the proper mechanics of ball-handling, shooting, form, passing and defensive techniques while developing a love for the game.

PC Spirit Camp Let's Go, Panthers! Join us for a week filled with Pine Crest Spirit! Panthers from Kindergarten - Fifth grade will learn the basics of cheerleading through stretches, cheers, and jumps. Additionally, we will have a blast boosting our school spirit by making our own pom-poms and hair bows, spirit posters, and other PCS inspired crafts!

Future Stars Football Camp Football Camp is a non-contact program that teaches boys the fundamentals of playing the game of football. Students will be instructed daily in offense, defense, and special teams. Daily games and special competitions will highlight teamwork and skills.

From the first toe in the water to pre-Olympic training, Pine Crest Swim camp offers a wide range of instruction and training to swimmers of all ages. Tennis Camp/High Performance Camp Tennis players of all levels will take their place on the ten Pine Crest courts. Beginners will learn the fundamentals of tennis and basic stroke techniques in small groups; more advanced players will work on fitness, drills, and match play. The serious advanced player will have the opportunity to train under the supervision of a USTA High Performance coach. Fitness will be emphasized along with innovation drills and match play. This program is open to all tennis players interested in taking their game to the next level.

Summer School Pine Crest Summer School offers enrichment and credit courses across the curriculum for students entering Grade 9-12. These programs provide an opportunity for students to earn High School credit and prepare for more advanced work in the fall.

Summer Programs Knitting and Crocheting

Love that blanket grandma knitted you when you were little but need a new one? Learn the basics of knitting and crocheting this summer! By enrolling in this program a camper will receive the necessary materials to make simple projects like scarves, hats, an iPad case, or even a blanket. If you have knitted or crocheted before this could be a great opportunity for you to refine your skills and learn some lace work. Materials (knitting needles, crochet hooks, and yarn) will be provided.

Music Video Production Music Video Production camp is a chance for students of any skill level to express creativity and storytelling through different forms of media. Students will have the chance to learn and use professional high definition cameras and camcorders. They will also learn and use a professional grade film editing software and the process of storyboarding. Teams will create music videos for popular songs of their choosing and demonstrate a variety of film and editing techniques. Digital cameras and camcorders will be provided for student use.

Summer Long Programs Pine Crest Day Camp Day Camp offers an exclusive ―on campus‖ program, featuring over forty fun-filled and creative activities. Age-appropriate specialty areas such as adventure tower climbing, indoor mini-golfing and much, much more. For a little bit of everything and a whole lot of Fun, Day Camp is the right choice!

Summer Programs KidFit Training

KidFit provides boys and girls with fun and enjoyable tools to stay active with friends. Participants will engage in ageappropriate games and activities that will enhance mobility, range of motion, flexibility, speed and strength development. Both individual and partner exercises will be used to teach basic, primal movement patterns that are essential for healthy children. Join Paul Baur, Director of Cross Country and Track & Field and other certified and experienced staff members for an enjoyable experience. A great complement to PC sports camps. *Available for 3 weekly sessions

Boys & Girls Lacrosse Camp Lacrosse Camp teaches the fundamentals of the actionpacked game of lacrosse. These programs are designed for beginner and intermediate level campers who are interested in learning about the game and developing their individual and team skills.

Rowing Camp This camp is designed for new and returning studentathletes at all skill levels who want to experience the exciting sport of rowing. The first three weeks will include one day of Stand Up Paddle Board Instruction and Racing.

Summer in Motion Summer in Motion provides a fun and engaging opportunity for students. The focus of the program is to have students participate in new fun games and activities while promoting a healthy and physically active lifestyle. This is the much loved PE class during summer vacation!

Summer Programs Tennis Camp Beginners will learn the fundamentals of Tennis and basic stroke techniques in small groups; more advanced players will work on fitness, drills, and match play. During supervised free time, campers may choose to watch a movie, play in the game room, or continue practicing their tennis.

Girls Volleyball Volleyball Camp will stress the fundamentals of volleyball. Activities will focus on developing individual skills and team play. Coaches will use teaching stations to learn passing, setting, spiking, and serving.

Enrichment Programs Visual Arts This year’s much loved Art Camp will be themed ―Animals in Art‖. Campers will work in small age appropriate groups and will experience a variety of artistic media; such as, clay, ceramics, watercolor, photography, sketching, collage, weaving, and carving. The program includes all necessary tools and supplies.

Summer Programs Performing Arts

Performing Arts students will work in Drama, Music, and Dance. Campers will work in small age appropriate groups with professional teachers who hold degrees in varying performing arts disciplines. Activities may include Audition Workshop, Modeling, Vocal Solos, Dialogue Development, Costume Design, Stage Combat, Piano, Tap, Jazz and Modern Dance, and Stage management. This camp concludes with a showcase on the final day to which family and friends are cordially invited.

Culinary Arts 101 Welcome to the exciting world of good food and good fun in the kitchen! In this new class, students will learn by doing. With the guidance of our Food Service Director, Andy Koobir, campers will learn the basics of cooking. At the end of each class students will taste and enjoy their efforts. The class will focus on: kitchen safety, table setting, knife skills, food preparation techniques like slicing, dicing, chopping and more. Each day students will learn how to prepare a different component to a meal: salad, entrée, side dish and a dessert. On the last day, these proficient chefs will prepare a meal for their parents to enjoy!
