Supporting local charities We have a long history of working with local charities, such as the Cancer Council, Parkerville Children and Youth Care, Cystic Fibrosis and the Association for the Blind. Since 2007, we’ve raised circa A$1 million through the construction and sale of charity homes and staff fundraising.

The same values mean our community, charity and environmental initiatives are part and parcel of life at Pindan.

Engaging with communities Our commitment to local communities can be seen in everything we do, from the way we consult with local people so we can design and build in harmony with the environment and community, through to proactively promoting Indigenous employment. We are particularly proud of our mentorship of fledgling Indigenous businesses into multi-skilled enterprises, which is why many of our projects in remote areas far exceed the 20% Indigenous labour component required.

From the Red Cross’ corporate blood donation drive, through to donations for crisis relief and Christmas gifts for children in care, giving back is very much part of the fabric of our caring culture at Pindan.

Caring for the environment Just as we care for local people and communities, we also care for the environment. This commitment is perhaps most obvious in the way we integrate sustainable design features into our buildings to minimise their environmental impact. However, it’s a commitment that goes beyond our design team. Sustainable work practices are embedded in everything we do. Our sites are managed to ensure minimum impact on the local environment, and we adhere to all statutory and local government requirements, always.
