Forward-thinking and hardworking architect specialist in sustainable design with a high interest in new explorations that make use of the principles of environmental design to improve quality of life and comfort standars. My career has been focused in three main areas: environmental design assessment in architectural studies, research, and teaching. The combination of natural creative ability with high technical and analytical skills developed through the undergraduate, professional experience and Master’s degrees, gives me very strong design and graphical abilities as well as an independent and critical thinking.

Mixed-use development that responds to public demand for homes with reduced environmental impact, lower running costs and features that enhance health and well-being. The proposed design incorporates a clear commitment to sustainability, reflected in both the building and the urban planning. Sustainability was a driving force for the development from conception onwards. Some of the key issues were the the passive design and daylight access as well as the water management.

The project of this police station includes architectural design and technological criteria that make it consistent with the place where it is located and with the surroundings circumstances and conditions. As it is a public building, it has been design to promote the ministryÂ´s commitment to the environment. The design of this bioclimatic building maximizes the comfort of the future users, and minimizes the energy consumption through active and passive strategies.

CONVERSION OF AN EXISTING BUILDING INTO OFFICES

Sustainability, comfort and tradition are closely related terms. This project presents high standar living conditions through a comprehensive design that has a rational control over natural resources. By using traditional strategies from the area, the building reduces the negative effects associated with energy irresponsible consumption.

The design of this building responds to different factors. The result is a responsible design that ensures the urban spatial quality, as well as the functional and economical adequacy without leaving behind the environment issues. From the begining of the design process, architectural and technological bioclimatic criterias were incorporated taking into account sunlight and ventilation to set up a global option for a respectful relationship between the building and the environment.

This project was designed with a simple but strong gesture that generates a sequence of internal spaces and gives continuity to the outdoor existing spaces. Because of its public character, this office building was also designed to become and example of sustainable architecture providing high comfort standars with minimun energy resources.

DeCYA Architects New urban development that responds to the ecological environment where it is located. To this purpose, the project takes into account landscape criteria as well as micro and macro climatic control strategies both in the outdoor spaces and in the buildings.

EDDEA Architecture and Urbanism The project was designed around a flexible platform able of updating acording to the continuos evolution of the userÂ´s lifestyle. The proposal submitted to the jury was focused on the social component with a brief that included lots of social activities. On the other hand, water is central for the design concept. Taking advantage of the natural topographical situation, rainwater is collected for the planned future constructions and for maintainance of the gardens.
COMPETITION FOR THE URBAN DEVELOPMENT OF THE RAILWAY STATION SURROUNDINGS. PUERTO REAL (SPAIN)
EDDEA Architecture and Urbanism This project is a urban regeneration of a part of Puerto Real´s urban sector. After burying a part of the railway, the project is based on the continuity between the different landscapes using this new area for linking different urban sectors. Thus, the proposal solves three main issues: the connection, the social facilities and the area´s opportunities.

EDDEA Architecture and Urbanism The city of Copenhagen has always been a pioneer in dealing with interventions to revitalize its historic quarter creating a new efficient urban system. The strategies incorporated to the proposal were pedestrian paths, development of a public transportation system, promoting bicycle use and prohibition of private cars as the main means of transport. In this context,the Nordhaven project is a new challenge for the city of Copenhagen. The proposal continues in this way with the strong emphasis on alternative and innovative systems, capable to create new expectations in the cityÂ´s future development
