MSDE

TO BE BACKED UP ON A REGULAR BASIS, SEE THE DATABASE BACKUP

Installed MSDEs, including the database. Option of manual backup; however, only when the SQL server service is stopped.

PostgreSQL

TO BE BACKED UP ON REGULAR BASIS, SEE THE DATABASE BACKUP

Installed PostgreSQL, including the database. Manual backup is possible; however, only when the SQL server service is stopped.

Parser

TO BE BACKED UP AFTER INSTALLATION ONLY, FURTHER BACKUP IS NOT NECESSARY

Contains parsers (PS, PCL6 and redtitan) which are used by SafeQ to render print tasks.

Server

TO BE BACKED UP AFTER INSTALLATION AND AFTER POTENTIAL CONFIGURATION MODIFICATIONS

Contains the core of the entire SafeQ (the “lib” sub-directory), supporting libraries, accounting drives (the “drivers” sub-directory), firmware for terminals (the “update” sub-directory) and also a repository for the spooler print tasks (the “spool” sub-directory).

Temp

TO BE BACKED UP AFTER INSTALLATION ONLY, FURTHER BACKUP IS NOT NECESSARY

Contains previews of individual pages of print tasks (if parsing is used) and other temporary files which are deleted automatically after printout (deletion).
