2011/2012 Season (Jan and Feb) Mario Balotelli began his 2011/2012 campaign under a hopeful. ambitious Manchester City side brimming with confidence off the back off a promising start to the 2010/2011 season. Recording wins against West Brom, Wolves, and Blackpool in the league, they set themselves up for a succesfull run in to the end of the season, for which they targeted qualifying for the Champions League spots in the Premier League table.

IN the coming months, The team not-so-affectionately known by MAnchester united supporters as “the noisy neighbours” beat the suppliers of the nickname One nil in the FA cup in april. They beat blackburn, spurs, west ham and stoke on their way to qualifying for Europe’s elite trophy.
Ballotelli quickly established himself as one of the standout personalities of the Manchester City squad, albeit causing more bad than good for the reputation of the team.
