Cancer Center in Mindanao to open soon by Carina Cayon

he Tagum City-based Davao Regional Hospital will soon start operations of its Cancer Center in Mindanao that would provide state-of-the–art treatment facilities. DRH administrator Carlito Pillerin said that the first of a kind cancer center in the country will be inaugurated on January 08, 2012. During the center’s inauguration this January, Pillerin said that DRH has chosen a colon cancer patient to be the first to undergo treatment at the center to be provided for free. He stated that the treatment is valued at P250,000 for the 33-day session period. Pillerin raised the hospital management’s plan of studying the costing of the cancer therapy per patient.
