Aquino lays out “4-Rights” principle to encourage more investments from Chinese businessmen

EIJING, China — In an effort to ‘balance the equation’ in terms of investments between China and the Philippines, President Benigno S. Aquino III today wasted no time in encouraging several Chinese firms to invest more in the country.
BEIJING, China—President Benigno Simeon Aquino III exchanges views with Chinese President Hu Jintao during the bilateral meeting at the East Hall, Great Hall of the People Wednesday afternoon (August 31), in line with his five-day State Visit to the People’s Republic of China. Earlier, President Aquino witnessed the signing of documents on energy and power-related agreement, mining and mineral processing projects, manufacturing-related projects and infrastructure-related undertakings. The visit is expected to boost Philippines-China relationship and showcase the country as an investment haven to Chinese businessmen following major reform measures President Aquino has initiated in the government.
