President’s Message

Hey Key Club,

We've had a great first couple months of the school year! Especially with events like the Applebee's fundraiser and Movie Night, we also had a lot of fun along the way, so be sure to look forward to the upcoming events of 2013. Enjoy the holidays! Christina Hum PHS Key Club President 2012-2013

Editor’s Note Key Clubbers, So we made it, the world didn’t end! There are just a few months left in this service year so let’s work together to make it the best possible. Now is the time to pick up the pace and make every hour count. Lets have some fun and help others. Your Editor, Aleena Kazmi 2

Past Events Movie Night: December 4th For those of you that missed it, the Key Club got together to watch Marvel’s The Avengers. It was a fun night filled with action, comedy, suspense, and some great actors. It was a great way to raise money for the Eliminate project! Good job guys, and keep on coming to our events.

Donation to St. Peters Thanks to the overwhelming amount of food you guys brought to Movie Night, the officers had a LOT of food to donate to the St. Peters pantry. Good job on helping feed needy people!

Congrats Kiwanis!

This year happens to be the biggest growth year that Kiwanis has ever experienced! This year, Key Club membership increased by 5,000 students bringing its membership total to 267,000 members! The Kiwanis International membership this year is a whopping 350,000 members!

1 Million Dollars!!

As of the end of November, KCI, Key Club, Builders Club, K-Kids, and Aktion Club have all donated over US$1 million to the Eliminate Project. That means that 555,555 lives have been saved! However, the work isn’t over yet. If each member were to raise a minimum of $5.40 a year (three lives saved), then MNT would be eliminated from the world within the last three years of the project’s campaign.
