NASA! JOURNEY INTO OUTER SPACE Mad Science and NASA’s after-school program is now a camp! From our atmosphere to the outer reaches of our solar system, this hands-on program sends campers on a quest for exploration! Discover comets, planets, stars and more. SECRET AGENT CAMP A fun journey into the world of detection, spy science and forensics. Campers will examine the science behind the spy tools made famous by the world’s greatest spies! We will reconstruct activities using scientific methods and use the science of cryptology to send and decode secret messages. We will follow in Sherlock’s steps to learn what tracks can tell us!
AMAZING 4 IN 1 ROBOT NEW! 7–12 yrs Build your own interchangeable robot to take home with four unique modes. It is truly a four-in-one motorized robot kit. Learn how different gears work as you build. You will be building the Cricket—a joy on six legs. Build the Beast. It is a master of bi-pedal movement. You will also build Grandpa-Bot Robot, the Trailer— the little engine that could move forward thanks to its motorized transmission and more. Adventure Kids Camp offers a wide-variety of unique experiences for your child. Activities are structured to be healthy, engaging, educational and most of all, fun. A highly trained, enthusiastic staff ensures that your child is safe, happy and making positive relationships with fellow campers. Adventure Kids Camp is economical and provides families with flexible options to best fit summertime schedules. Bring lunch and drink daily. Two snacks provided.
Entering Grades 1–5 Full Day Option June 13–August 11, Monday–Friday No camp 7/3, 7/4
Get ready for summer fun and adventure at Adventure Kids Camp! • Take weekly adventures to local kid fun spots (site closed on Thursday Trip days) • Stay active with sport activities and onsite “Wheel Fun Days” (Tuesday) • Explore science, music, dance and arts & crafts • Keep cool on weekly Swim days (Monday/Wednesday)
CHEMICAL MAGIC 6–12 yrs Chemical magic, magical microscopes, rocks and minerals. Learn to make batteries from fruits or potatoes. Make a crystal tree. Work with invisible ink. Work with powerful magnets. Look at prepared slides using our microscopes. Learn about rocks and minerals, be a chemical detective, make glob from glue and more hands-on science projects. $15/week fee is applied in addition to daily rates for non-Pleasant Hill residents only. $75 non-refundable deposit is required upon registration to hold your child’s place in the camp. This fee is deducted from the first month's bill. $5 camp t-shirt. Every child must have a t-shirt for all offsite field trips. Indicate size and quantity at time of registration.
