Above- Adrian Mohammed rides his bike through Capricorn Township in Muizenburg, a suburb of Cape Town, South Africa. The townships of South Africa are notorious for gang violence and drug use, but a closer look reveals the inner humanity of all their beautiful residents. Made up of a large number of young children and few elderly leaders due to the effects of HIV/ AIDS, the children are mostly left to fend for themselves and as a result turn to gangs, the closest thing to family structure in their lives. Across- A Ngobe Tribesman from Northern Panama pridefully displays his traditional clothing and rams horn as a celebration of their unique culture. As a result of new governmental schooling regulations which makes it mandatory for all children in Panama to attend a state run spanish speaking school, the Ngobe People are in danger of loosing their language as the next generation grows into adult hood. One can be sure that their clothing, music, art, agriculture and unique beauty won’t be far behind.
