WHAT Project Introduction

“All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.” - Picasso -

We enter this world as creators, curious to discover ways to express ourselves visually, aurally, kinesthetically. But, over time, we are taught to be more “realistic,” to be “safe” and “reasonable” and “normal”. Growing up, we all just wanted to be ourselves. That was normal. But soon, we were placed in a classroom, told to stand in line and speak when spoken to. We, therefore, focus more on consuming around the same time, looking for any material thing to fill the vast emptiness of creativity. This is the time of change, to create a new generation – the generation of thinkers, doers and most importantly, DREAMERS.

General Information AIESEC, with the vision of peace & fulfillment of humankind potential, came to Vietnam in 2006 and is doing our best to improve the situation. Coming up with the initiative of educating university students about society, culture, business… in a global experience perspective, AIESEC FTU HN proudly introduces GLOBAL CITIZEN Summer Camp 2014 with our belief to make a positive change in our society by making impact on the youth through our learning courses.

WHY Learning Points

Personal Development Truly successful people aren't satisfied with comfort. Pushing their own limits is how they get to greatness. Therefore, AIESEC Global Citizen program facilitates such an challenging environment for your personal development. By being a part of an international team working in a country far away from home, young people have to adapt quickly to different cultures and perspectives. They learn how to be strong and independent in all situations and by that developing leadership and communication skills.

Cross-cultural Experience Students who join the program have the chance to research and learn about world issues, culture, history, architecture, cuisine, language, economy and the people in the host country. They will also gain global mindset when working in a team with many nationalities.

Social Impact The world needs people who care not only about their personal development but also the community they belong to.
