CORPORATE MOBILE PHONE

The motivation for the following project was to implement a well-known corporate design into mobile phones. The challenge laid in creating an interface for a brand without the usage of the brand logo itself. The recognition value was in the foreground.

SOL REPUBLIC TRACKS AIR SKATE CITY EDITION Skateboarding and music always formed a perfect symbiosis. To honour this the skate city edition for Sol Republic was created. On this occasion, it concerns the five most high-powered and most inspiring cities of the earth whose spirit should be embodied in the form of a simple nevertheless colourfull headphone. JUNE 2015

SUBTLE STYLER The SK8 is the Allrounder of the Collection. He is rather reserved and, hence, the ideal Skateaccessoire. Here you concentrate on the intrinsic values. This concerns not only the technology but also the graphics.

THE CATALAN The Catalan capital has been the world’s Mediterranean skateboard Mecca since the late ’90s. MACBA, Paral-lel, Sants, Forum, Fondo, Barcelonetta, Beer Banks, Arc de Triomf, Mercado, Universitat, Molins de Rei, and onwards. BCN remains a crown jewel on anybody’s travel wish list for architecture, weather, and lifestyle. Still got it.

THE NEWCOMER Australia hosts some of the best metropolitan areas on the planet. With a shot out to Sydney, Melbourne has become the main travel destination, skate-wise there over the past five to ten years. With a bustling scene, and a solid collection of spots, from the popular museum gaps to the old Flinders Street gold rail of Dollin fame, Melbourne is in the club.

THE STREETBOY Sure there’s a new park popping up almost every month and eventually the Brooklyn Banks will see a revitalization thanks to the efforts of Steve Rodriguez and other devoted New York icons, but everyone knows that skateboarding in NYC is always about the streets. It’s that mix of landmark spots and streets that change by the minute, coupled with traffic, people and attitude that make NYC both a challenge and a triumph to skate.

THE CHERUBIC The birthplace of modern skateboarding. Home to probably more pros, more companies, and more documented spots than any other city on the planet. From Venice Beach to Downtown, Hollywood High to San Pedro, the City of Angels mixes perfect weather and the heart of skate culture with anything from schoolyard tables to backyard pools.

THE MYTHOS Each person, who was already on a music festival, hardly goes past at this myth. One already heard most diverse stories about its origin, however they have all similar content. The speech is from a festival visitor who was searching for its girlfriend „ Helga “. So he shouted her name again and again over the whole festival area. Thereupon this call developed to a mass phenomenon and is still today a popular running gag. Whether he had ever found his girlfriend was unfortunately not delivered. FEBRUARY 2015

MOBILE LIGHTING TOOL by

porsche design

Within the scope of a study project a new market within the Outdoor branch was opened for the Porsche design company. It concerns the luxurious variation of camping, called Glamping (Glamourous camping). Therefore an outdoor lamp was developed which embodies enterprise values like precision, functionality and intution and shows an ideal companion for outdoor application. FEBRUARY 2015

MOBILE REFUGEE SHELTER master thesis design & product management

2015 was a special year for Europe, which was caused by dramaticly increasing numbers of refugees fleeing from war, persecution and violation of human rights. Therefore especially countries like Austria, Germany and Sweden were challenged to ensure a safe and humane residence. The majority consists of middleaged men coming from Syria, Afghanistan or other Arab or African countries. There are almost 10 different languages but a lot of similarities. Next to the fact that every second one is traumatized and suffers from mental exhaustion, refugees have exactly the same needs than everyone else.

QUALITATIVE INTERVIEWS At first I had to analyse the consumer. Therefore I met a lot of very interesting people in different refugee houses in Salzburg. The goal was to learn about their experiences during their escape and get in touch of real necessities for people in waiting situations like in traiskirchen.

LOCATION After getting a first basis for an accommodation concept, it became clear that the further steps had to be done under real conditions. So I arranged a current project, where I could put my ideas onto. The state of Salzburg gave me the chance to create a concept parallel to their ideas for an asylum accommodation. The object is an old factory building with about 960 square meters.

3

CULTURAL PROBES For getting a better insight into the everyday life and the real necessities, i visited a current emergency camp for refugees in Salzburg.

SOCIAL DESIGN WORSKHOP The concept phase started in Vienna. The outcome corresponded with Kilian Kleinschmidt´s introduction about the importance of bringing their adrenaline down, private space, individuality and the need for inviting guests

PARTICIPATORY DESIGN Together with a current asylum seeker and professional carpenter we created a new living concept for temporary space. It had to fulfill technical, aesthetic, economic, social and interpersonal criteria.

It fits perfectly into factory buildings with pillar rasters and uses the available space very efficient. This produces a urbanlike structure with different appartments on the outside and a main road (with community spaces) in the center.

PRIVATE SPACE One unit offers 25 square meters of living space, which means 8,5 square meters for each person. Each room includes the most important furniture elements (wardrobe, working area, locker, storage, a bed and a chair) which are mounted at the wall to allow individual refurnishings. lucht eg
