PDA/BLACK BERRY TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE NEWS FROM HR—VACATIONS & SICK LEAVE PRIVACY & CONFIDENTIALITY

Employee Survey In September you will be receiving an employee survey in the mail from NRC Picker Canada. NRC Picker was contracted by Leisureworld Care Corporation to conduct a confidential survey of all Leisureworld Long Term Care, Corporate, Preferred Health Care Services and The Royal Retirement Home employees. This is a great opportunity for your opinions to be heard! The purpose of the survey is to find out what you like and perhaps don’t like about working for Preferred Health Care. Your responses will be kept confidential and anonymous. The results of the survey will be used to guide our plans to improve the work environment for all employees and to see whether we have made some improvements since our last survey. We will be sending out voice broadcasts with reminders throughout September and October. If you have any questions you can contact Barb van Maris, Director of Quality Improvement and Risk Management at ext 3256. See the Presidents message inside!

What Would You Do? The son of one of your clients wants to give you a pair of tickets to a sold out concert that you wanted to attend. He cannot go and doesn't want them to go to waste. They are front row seats, and quite expensive to buy. This client can be rather difficult to service because of dementia issues and the son just wants to thank you for taking such good care of his mother. “No one will ever find out.” he says with a smile. What do you do? Do you need to discuss an ethical issue? Ethics Hotline-extension 8000
