Dissecting Design
Our family photos and memories are all going digital. What does that mean for us and our kids? Students will take a comprehensive overview of the state of our digital world. Production, consumption, preservation, sharing, and the, sometimes, thorny issues of legal jeopardy plus online privacy will be discussed. Become a savvy online consumer and user. Learn and practice some of the important techniques of the new online age.
This class plumbs the depths of creative inspiration focusing on harnessing ideas and starting points for making art. Our sessions incorporate discussion, visual aids, and exercises to engage the senses in the act of design. Writing, drawing, painting, collage, and other techniques will be used to create pieces of art to express individual creative ideas. Students will complete at least one piece and have a handmade book to record ideas. See PARKS DIRECT receipt for supply list. An electronic device with audio and camera is preferred.
