Manor browntop Key Points Outstanding fineness and density Light green colour which helps mask Poa annua invasion Especially suitable for greens Can be used for all parts of a golf course Suitable for low or high maintenance lawns

Characteristics and areas of use The fineness and density of Manor browntop produces putting greens of outstanding quality. It displays a light green colour which aids the masking of Poa annua present in a sward. Manor browntop can be used for greens, tees, fairways and roughs and is also a good choice for low or high maintenance lawns where superior quality is desired.

Breeding history Manor was bred in New Zealand by PGG Wrightson Turf. It is a selection out of Sefton and has a similar colour and leaf texture to Sefton. Sefton was bred from plugs of the best browntop that superintendents were invited to send in from their greens. The best lighter green coloured plants from New Zealand were selected as parents.

Sowing rate and maintenance Sow Manor at 5 g/m2 or 50 kg/ha when sown alone. In mixtures with fine fescue the sowing rate can be reduced to half, however it is not advised when sowing greens.
