ACTIWETT reduces the surface tension of the spray so that the droplets which form when the spray leaves the nozzle are reduced in size. These small droplets, because of the reduced surface tension, spread over the surface of the plant and combine with other droplets to form a continuous film and give uniform coverage. ACTIWETT aids the coverage and penetration of the sprays into cracks and crevices, through insect and plant hairs and will form an even spray on the target plants. ACTIWETT also resists light rainfall and reduces the erosion of the chemical from the leaves. If good rain protection is required use Bond®1 or BondXtra®1 for dependable adhesion in adverse conditions. RECOMMENDATIONS For Horticultural insecticides and fungicides – use 25 mls per 100 litres of water. On hard to wet surfaces e.g. brassicas and onions, increase the rate to 50 – 70 mls/100 litres water. WARNING: Actiwett may induce increased levels of russet in apples, pears and other russet prone crops. For herbicides – use 25 ml/100 litres water for most dilute applications. Do not use with selective herbicides unless a non-ionic surfactant is recommended. COMPATIBILITY ACTIWETT is compatible with most commonly used insecticides, fungicides, herbicides and foliar fertilisers.
