Message from Supreme President Anthony W. Mendes members. From Council #21 I awarded Aldena Silva and from Council #68 was Cecelia Cardoza, who unfortunately was unable to attend.

Dear Members and Friends, On October 29th Gloria and I participated in the fundraiser held by Monique Vallance, Supreme Marshal for her 2020 PFSA Convention. We had a wonderful time on the casino trip with a group of wonderful members. The event to Jackson Rancheria was hosted by Monique and her parents Jonine and Marie Barreiro

On November 3rd, I was honored along with other Supreme Officers to be invited to a luncheon hosted jointly by PFSA and LUSO for The Deputy Minister for Portuguese Communities, Mr. Jose Luis Carneiro. Also, accompanying Mr. Carneiro, was Consul General of Portugal in San Francisco, Dr. Nuno Mathias.

On October 30th Gloria and I attended the Fraternal Event for Council #21, Los Banos and Council #68 of Dos Palos, held at Our Lady of Fatima Hall in Los Banos. We attended Mass at St Joseph’s Church which was offered for all deceased members of Council #21. A wonderful lunch of Torresmos de Vinha d’ Alhos (garlic marinated pork) and sweet potatoes was served to us. Again it was wonderful to see so many past and present Supreme Officers present. It was an honor to present an outstanding member award to two deserving

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday with their family and friends. I also want to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy and prosperous New Year. Fraternally yours, Anthony W. Mendes Supreme President - Term 2016-2017
