Essentials Each month, we bring you the Essentials magazine – featuring the latest products, industry news and the facts behind prices and product availability. Essentials is also full of recipes, product features and stories to help you make more of your orders. It’s free to all PFD customers and is available through your local branch.

Festive Rewards Festive Rewards adds an extra celebration to the four months over Christmas. Simply by choosing Festive Rewards lines, you’ll earn points towards account credits or popular gift cards. Cards vary from year to year BP, Coles-Myer and Mitre 10 are regular participants. Keep an eye out for your Festive Rewards brochure each September or ask your Food Service Specialist for a copy.*

Every quarter we produce our comprehensive Product Reference Guide. This essential book lists all the products your local PFD branch can provide for you. Some lines are held at our State hubs, but your PFD Food Service Specialist will advise you of any potential delays and suggest an alternative product if necessary.

Ordering Procedure Placing your orders with PFD is easy and flexible. We offer a range of options, so that our service will fit in with your business.

1. In Person through your PFD Food Service Specialist.


Setting up a regular appointment with your local Food Service Specialist is a great way to manage your orders. They carry details of all our latest products and promotions with them, and they’re trained to help with your menu development, costs per serve and special dishes. With everything from condiments to cleaning products, your PFD Food Service Specialist can be a key part of your business.

2. B  y Phone through a Customer Service Representative. Already know what you want? Then just phone through your order or have one of our Customer Service Representatives contact you at a pre-arranged time each week. Be sure to ask for an update on our special promotions and your reward points at the same time.

3. O  nline at You can order virtually anything you need from our catalogue 24/7, using our secure ordering portal. It gives you the freedom to organise your supplies outside regular office hours, with real-time pricing and inventory. You’ll be able to find what you need by brand, category or by checking your past orders. Plus you can check on our latest products and special offers. Your online orders will be processed at your local PFD branch and sent on your scheduled delivery days. (So please allow adequate processing time.) If you haven’t ordered online with us before, please email to register first. We’ll send you a secure login and password.

Delivery Procedure If orders are expected outside store hours, clear and safe access is required for PFD drivers. This needs to be communicated prior to any delivery being made and will only be completed with the consent and knowledge of the business or store owner/manager.

Deliveries are generally scheduled to arrive within a 3 hour window. This allows for unforeseen events that may delay your delivery. If you have any questions regarding your delivery please phone your Customer Service representative at your local site.

Please ensure that adequate space is made available on delivery days for frozen and chilled stock so our drivers have easy access to freezers and fridges. This means your stock can move directly from our refrigerated trucks to your fridge or freezer swiftly.

Practical and safe unloading of goods will always be considered in determining the preference for front or rear door deliveries.

Special consideration should always be made when there is an additional increase to normal stock levels, ie. during promotional, seasonal or special events.

Goods that are delivered outside store hours will be left in an appropriate designated area in an orderly manner.

Orders are delivered with an itemised invoice. It is your responsibility to check that all the goods received are correctly listed on the invoice before signing and accepting the delivery. You then keep the top copy and the duplicate is retained by the driver and returned to PFD.

Over The Counter If you prefer to pay your invoices at the bank you’ll need the following details

Credit Note Policy PRODUCT/SUPPLIER CREDITS: Reasons for raising a credit: • Product non-performance • Damaged stock • Contaminated stock The Request For Credit note will be raised by PFD and sent to the supplier. It must contain all the following details: Customer Name Customer Number Corresponding Invoice Number/Date Product Code/Dollar Value Product description Quantity to be credited

• WHITE copy is held by the customer. • YELLOW copy goes to the PFD Credit Department for processing within 48 hours. (Once they are processed, it will be mailed to you.) •G  REEN copy is left in the credit book. The Supplier will either request PFD to credit your account and pick up the stock from you, or they may decide to contact you directly. Please be aware that all supplier credit claims are subject to approval from the supplier. CLAIMS MUST BE MADE WITHIN 48 HOURS TO BE ACCEPTED
