P

ETRA VOJTASIKOVA

grew up in Czech Republic, where she learned that an esthetic individual’s demands often collide in an open and free society. That observation led her to an interest in creative studies with

technical backgrounds. Because she wants to be fully involved throughout the process, it pushed her to discover and understand the relation between space and society, what makes things well, wise and nice.

She graduated with a Master’s in Architecture from Czech Technical University in Prague in June 2015, and had previously a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial and Spacial Design since June 2011. Combining these two multidisciplinary studies provide her with comprehensive understandings of tasks in wide ranges of scale. Petra

is currently working as an Architectural Intern at the architecture firm COBE in Copenhagen. Petra sometimes collaborates with other designers, artists and other people of interest. Petra is a good team player, participates actively and positively. Petra also likes long walks, getting lost in the streets and loves good company!

First phase competition of new part University campus in Slagelse, Denmark Team // Dan Stubbergaard, Rasmus Jessing, Maria Aufegger Within my internship at COBE I had been working on the competition for New sports hall for University Campus at Slagelse. We proposed SPORTS VILLAGE. By downscale is the traditional hall divided and become new hall type - less heated rooms, less heated space, greater convenience,

[ 27 ]

and most outdoor areas under roof. Focus group are students, children, grandparents, families, associations generations meet and become part of an active social hub in SlagelseSupport city comunitty. Flexible grid can react for changes and diffrent conditions in the future.

A FLEXIBLE HOUSE The great unifying roof suits a flexible space equal structure. A rational grid structure define the roof outline and divides the sports village in volumes and spaces of varying size can easily be adapted to user needs. The new hall in Slagelse create space for various type of activities. FLexible space provides from small class for face to face over group activities for big group. // Active roof

// defined by the street // // open to the river // //invasive into garden//

Infill the urban grid in Prague 10. In this context, traditional city-making can fill the gaps. I use the plot, that currently lies fallow, for a formation of a compact and efficient town. A town block has own individual character. Open block defined with street space, with corner ending orientated directly to the river Botic. [ 59 ]

The block entrances to the Landscape. This landscape becomes public space for city gardening. Main concept is to express a cohesive character of the block, that goes out from the local surrounding entrance conditions. The river, the place impression, the building structure as well as the vegetation.

T

he square is the scene where people meet, it’s a salon where are different moments of life of the community. Letna square is the scene that has no program currently , we can found there only just shopping market BILLA. Colorful square dampen potential. I suggest

the marketplace. The tradition of looking away in the past, I try to return agriculture to the city. The proposal is the food urban market. Market with vertical garden, where peope can grown their own fresh product lige vegetable, fruit, herbal and so on..

The very old historical part city of Prague. There is a house and nobady cares what is going on with. That house has all in one what well luxury house could have. In spite of this fact the house has abandoned and left untouched for many years. Each house around

has its own story. It’s a very prestigious place , it is undesirable to wear a green jacket without a face . There used to be an apartment building . It is a place where housing has a sense of where the housing becomes a lifestyle , living in this place wears a certain social prestige, as indicated

townhouse is an integral part of a happy life. UseIn exterior the historical center it is usually difficult. Therefore,

it is one of the most important parts of the project a new feature courtyard. The inner courtyards of apartment buildings used primarily for parking, warehouse, they are places that do not seek, if we want to be in the fresh air. I suggest premium flats, it is assumed that the person is the owner of the workload, under pressure after a hard day’s

[ 103 ]

traveling and functioning will be keen to relax and regain your endorphins. The person will seek out sports activities in their neighborhood. For this reason, basement and yard complete sports and wellness features. In the basement there is a gym chamber, connected to the pool. Basement area with pool is connected to court over the stairs. The court retains its intimacy, it allows increased wall with greenery, that forms the center of a block of buildings.

to their historical position , I suggest combining resiThanks dential housing appropriate comfort in the form of represent-

ative large 3 bedroom apartments and 2 bedroom layout adapted to the requirements of the contemporary lifestyle that respects today’s social habits. House finds its residents , hungry for inspiring history -soaked location with idyllic views , parking and recep-

tion in the house . Although the house looks like a new building, is still his intention to honor the surrounding buildings , street line , not exceeding ledge. Residence wants to be part of Prague’s historic body. Copper costume , in which the house dressing was chosen for its popularity in Prague material environment.

Composer Bedrich Smetana // Symphony Moldau

Rotatin water whirpool swirled on the Vltava River. Water funnel was caught up in the tectonic shape on the island and creates musical institution as a motionless water whirpool of the Vltava river. Inspiration stems from the text of the symphonic poem ´´Má Vlast´´ - Moldau by Bedrich Smetana. Today is the effort to restore

and underline the importance of the island od Stvanice, the attractiveness. Efforts to integrate into the urban landscape. The island is deserted, although over the island leads important and busy axis Prague - Highway. The Skylight bringing light into inner space, is also shaped by the idea od faith.

house is a strange mixture of T herationalism and poetry, fusion of

the static base and infinite, fluid, factors what can’t be closed in a frame of words. Spatial experience causing

different feelings like intimacy, happiness, loneliness, melancholy, respect, joy. Space where light is dancing together with people, shadows are covering human body’s curves and walls are

reflecting our ego. So what is the house without the function? What is the architecture nowadays? The answer is simple: It’s a celebration of humanity.

I see the sence of nowadays preservation in giving todays use. Giving it currently needed function. Not leave the heritage to be a museum where people just come and see it without any other purpose. Porbleme of out word are still here. The main topic is about lack

of comunication. Collaboration and appreclation. In current word we are asking so many questions which we are not able to answer yet. Therefore we add a new layer to the historic structure of the pyramidon.

Sscientiscs researches. Every year lot of scientiscs go there to make the research. Almost none of them has proper bacground. A proper research station with all needs. Pyramiden is abandoned. In strategic position not to far
