multifuncional building Jablonec nad Nisou master thesis

The aim of master´s thesis is design Multifunctional Building on the South Centre of Jablonec nad Nisou. The project continue to pre-master design studio of south centre of Jablonec nad Nisou and includes design of two objects divided by the Lužická Nisa River. The buildings are connected by footbridge on the main entrance level. It´s situated on the connection of train stop and bus station with historical town centre. Each of the objects is connected with existing building directly and it makes one unit t o g e t h e r .T h e function of houses isn´t uniform but the forms are designed in mutual dialogue. There is emphasis to keep overal look and character of the city and for this reason there was demolished the existing building which distort the integrality of the street. The building site is exposed not only for the city residets but for passing tourist a l s o .J a b l o n e c n a d N i s o u i s o n t h e journey from Prague to Jizerské and Krkonoše Mountains. Due to the location of the city is some inspiration small foothill architecture typical for the locality.

the new centre of Jablonec nad Nisou master design studio 2 teamwork with Iva Čermáková

A deserted and almost unused locality is situated near to the centre of Jablonec nad Nisou and there is hidden quite big potential on that place. An attractive territory nearby to main square of Jablonec is something like a bumper zone of main traffic road between Prague and Jizerske mountains. The scores of people flow across a derelict locality from new train stop daily, and from bus terminal also. Pedestrian paths and axes of view of that place are the main elemets of the design. Make the pedestrian paths attractive is necessary part of the design. The designed development open the view to the city and attract attention of passing potentional visitors. We don´t take the Nisa river as a barrier but we take it like a benefit of territory. The next important part of our design is existing of Jablonec´s Venice which has almost forgotten. It earns to be discover and develop. We tried remake original street and city character at places which need it. We wanted continue at tradition of separate villas and loose development which is typical for town on the north of our counntry. We replaced the bus terminal closer to main road and we made a space for pedestrian and trams especially thanks to that. The other advatage of it is new public space at part of the city which hasn´t ones.

wine centre Vysocany interior studio

The design of wine centre is situated at Wine czech area Vysocany in Prague. It is a hall almost 2 0 0 0 m 2 large. The space is roofed by seven gabled roofs. The part of the design is underground floor also where is large basement. The basement isn´t separated any interior partitions. There is bitmap of steel column as carrier system and the ceiling is with barrel vault, extending in longitudinal direction. The concept of the design of wine centre is consideration ortogonal bitmap of columns, especially abiding its linie at traverse. Abiding of these parallel rows looks like wineyard. The next accept of the design is creation synoptic and free space with logic and simple way. The imaginary object of this way can be exposition situated on the other site of entrance to the hall. There is a simple way back to the exit from this target where is chillout area and buffat. These small wineries are designed as simple regular boxes, its dimensions take in account existing carrier system. It´s needed to place various size of shops and that´s why the boxes make a game of putout and put-in elements with different throughput. The space near to entrance is more opened to make hall synoptic. There is the main vertical comunication on this place also. This comunication connected first floor with basement where is placed cellars of wineries especially. But there are tasting lounges for public also. These lounges are designed lengthwise because there are vault in this direction. There are regular ortogonal bitmap of columns (wineyard) at the basement also. The basement is divided to traverse sections diversify glass and opaque sections. Opaque sections are used as sanitary facilities and cellars with shelves and the glass sections are used as tasting lounges and cellars with casks of wine which is view-atractive. The material solutions is designed with strict partitions to known new and old structures. The existing brick walls and columns are without plaster and roof structure also. Against this new structures are from smooth and bright materials of white colour. Boxes are from wooden planks inside to look like wooden boxes of wine. There are steel stripes on the floor which is from concrete screed largely. That is for support parallel lines of "w i n e y a r d ".

food market Smichov master design studio 1

Food market Smichov is situated in Prague 5 and offer very valuable for new use. There are Municipality of Prague 5 and Nation house of Prague 5 around, we can take it like a benefit. The space pretend uncoherently and the observer can feel lost in that space unfortunately. I wanted design valuable public space with entrances to both food market and municipaly and national house. The part of solution of food market was utilization of court between food market and national house. I replaced existing are of greenery to this space in my project. And I widen area of public square with clearly legibly functions thanks to that - m a k e representative areas of square and areas of greenery for relaxation. I wanted renew throughtput across the food market and "invite" people from all directions thanks to that. Food market is visible from north from Jirasek´s bridge and that´s why it´s good to point out on it. An important aspect of my design was closely contact of interior and exterior make a contact between food market and court with greenery. Interior and exterior should communicate to each other. Solution of the shape is designed like a compact surface intersect food market and goes through it fluently. The highest peak of the surface is situated on north side towards the Jirasek´s bridge. The surface intersects horizontal surfaces of terrain and level of second floor. It makes pedestrian roof-area of greenery in the court which pass to area of square fluently and it makes areas of greenery in interior. Food market should be public space where people want to meet each other, spend a time and make fun there. I renew original function of food market and I make new utilization for education and relaxation at my design also. Sitting with tasting coffee or sitting at greenery is any form of relaxation for me. And I placed restaurant with open kitchen and culinary institute there like a form of education and entertainment.

Holesovice riverbank urban studio

The solved location is situated in Prague 7 et Holesovice district. Locality is clasped by Vltava River on the left bank. The territory is in direct contact with watercourse. There are Prague food market, Rock opera of Prague, La Fabrika Theater, Library and Center of art DOX nearby. Surrounding buildings are contain of apartment houses with 5 - 7 storey. The main of traffic services are tram lines, the territory is near to Tusarova stop and Maniny stop. The part of solved territory is situation at floodplain and it´s need to preserve existing flood protection and the design musn´t narrow water flow. The development at locality is orderless, there aren´t any regulations and the development is unreadable. Height arrangement of buildings is very various and buildings don´t communicate to each other. There are very large parking areas (guarded and non-guarded parking) but there isn´t right solution of these areas. There is greenery a lot but it is unkempt area along the river unfotunately. These area isn´t accessible at big part. Huge mistake of the territory is unused potential of the bankriver. I especially concentrate to utilization of the potential provided by the bank of Vltava river in my design. The center of locality is bankriver especially. It makes valuable public space with relaxation posibilities. The bankriver changes its face little by little from bankriver boulevard to areas with more lucrative housing. The buildings establish to existing square and block development of Holesovice district. There is connection of entrance of pedestrian to territory with bankriver directly. And that´s why there are ortogonal axis and diagonal axis also. Final throughput to target is better thanks to that. The traffic is designed to prevent to pass solved locality a lot. There is a system of utility and calm roads. The parking areas are situated underground under buildings especially. Less of parking is along the communications on the terrain. There are residential areas with minor civil anemities at parterre mainly.

detached house Na Spitalce bachelor thesis

The location of detached house is situated in Prague 6 in Na Spitalce Street. The solved parcel surrounds with Mözler´s villa on southwest and homestead Spitalka on the northeast. I tried accept all of aspects provided of this parcel in my design. There is an old and dilapidated house on the plat nowadays, it´s intended to demolition. An important criterion was orientation to world sides and abide connection between interior and exterior. A major decision was choose the placement for shape of house. I designed building with L shape in layout. I wanted achieve private garden divided from communication on the south thanks to that. The garden to communication is important also, because is oriented on the south and there is very nice view to the city. For this reason I respect the street line of houses on neighborhood and the house is placed in the middle of plat approximately. Layout of L shape is opened to west sun. I placed the part of house on northeast, this part is upright to road and higher. The other part of house is parallel to road and it´s lower. The shape placed upright to road has gabled roof. There is a view to the city of Prague. That´s why the gabled roof put-out behind the first floor on view direction. Organisation of L shape and requirement of investor to place living room to both view direction and west direction make a restriction to placement of entrance to the house. An important aspect was entrance to center of disposition and that´s why I utilized differences of hight levels on the plat. The differences already are on the parcel. I made a notch to the terrain and I get to half of storey down thanks to that. It brings entrances on the one level as road without high differences. And for this reason I make increase of plat of back private garden.

meetingpoint Letná design studio 3

The task of ou studio was think about new utilization of Letna wold and its surroundings. The best solution for us was utilitization of existing pedestrian path and continue on it. The main element of our design was diagonal axis direct to place with former Stalin´s memorial. We started designed individual parts of the territory after that. The aim of my work was continue at Royal path which would develop thanks to connect bank of Vltava River with Letna wold. I wanted to design catching point which compress more function to one building at the same time. I choose escalators as a lift to get pedestrian to peak. The escalators has the same direction as Čech´s bridge. The space of down-station is solved as pedestrian zone without cars, only with trams. Cars are underground at the tunnel. There are the other services at the down station, buffet and public toilets. I wanted connect the royal path with diagonal axis especially in my design. The building has twoo crrosing shapes continue at that paths. The shapes are like gradation of this paths. The part which continues as royal path is more dominate and there is observation to Prague on the top of this part. There is a central space at crrosing of this two parts which bring people together and it makes possible to go to other disposition of building. There is the end of escalators at this space also. I tried to design building witch is part of the parterre and that´s why there is very simple pedestrian path to roof of the building. There is an observation and chillout space. There is any different function in the building. There is entrance and escape of escalators on the first floor. This space is connected with gallery, information centre and shop with sport equipment. There is a simple entrance to facilities of athletes from shop. There is a cafe with view of Prague on the second floor.

funeral hall Roudnice nad Labem design studio 2

The funeral house is situated on the plat with rectangle shape. The plat is on the edge of Roudnice nad Labem. The parcel is connected with dispersive meadow and local cementery. My aim was design a building which will fit to the landscape of this area. I wanted create plesant and dignified space. An architectural face came from crossing of two paths, life and death. And that´s why we can find horizontal and vertical crossing at the design of funeral hall. The building is intersected by several paths and it creates effect of passage to "the other side". T h e r e a r e g e n e r o u s r a m p and staircase down under the terrain like a vertical crossing. The functional spaces of funeral hall are situated in underground floor which is connected with first floor withal. It is thaks to high ceiling which is only under first floor. The ceiling between underground floor and first floor is missing there. There is an airy interior space with high ceiling and light coming from up thanks to that.

block of apartmens Hanspaulka design studio 1

The block of apartments is situated at calm territory in Prague with villa-houses. There are a lot of greenery and public anemities near to this place. I tried to fit building to landscape of the area in my design. The big advatage of this parcel is view of the centre of Prague. The object is in a simple shape with putout loggias in view direction. And on the other side loggias put-in to shape of building. The block of apartment is situated on crossroads of the streets and that´s why there is placed corner loggia like a dominant of this crossing. The building has four storey with seven large flats in total. Each storey has two flats 4+ kk size except the first floor. Everyone has loggia and entry to roof with greenery which is common for all residents. There are flowerpots with greenery at smaller loggias. The first floor is cointained from on flat 4 + kk size, technical background of the house and four covered parking space. There are uncovered parking space on the plot also. The facade of the house is created by Trespa panels of large format with visible joins. Loggias are constructed by steel hanging structure wchich is anchor to ceiling structure. The steel structure is garnished by steel sheets Ruiki CORTEN.

modular tower Brno workshop Modularch in Brno teamwork with Julie Čeřovská

The leader of two-day long workshop were architects from Chille Sebastian Irarrazaval a Ximena Garcia Huidobro. We designed at two-person teams. The task of workshop was designed tower over existing building with the use of architectural moduls, the size of moduls was 3 x 3 m and lengths were 6,9 m or 12 m. The target of the design was renew old building and connect the new with the old not only on view but it was needed to connect it in function also. We focused on to new function of building in the public space where it´s situated. The building is a part of little public area. It´s situated on crossroads of two roads, on the common end of streets. The space is limited by two towers withal. Therefore we situated the tower on the top in layout, into close proximity of public space. The tower make a dominant there and it closes this square. There is generous and monumental entrance from this public space and it pulls in people inside the building. The tower is block of apartment especially but there are any civil anemities also. We worked with both horizontal orientation of moduls and vertical orientation of moduls. And thats why we designed a few type of disposition for housing. There is a roof restaurant on the top floor where is view on whole Brno. The roof of existing building is used as roof garden which is public.
