megan! m ’ I o hell I'm hoping to be elected as your new VP for Welfare. During my three years at Leeds Met as the student representative for my course (Social Science), I have realised the importance of the student voice being heard within the university. I feel that it is important for students to know about the services that are available to them through the student’s union involving, sexual, mental and physical health as well as general the student’s union directly and so if elected I want to promote these services, making them more accessible to all 27,000 of you!

• I want to know what you want! And I aim to provide more opportunities for this to be implemented with your union. • I will campaign for increased police visibility in high risk areas and improve personal safety awareness, to make Leeds a safer place for students. • I want to provide a ‘Stress less’ week before exam time with activities and workshops for students to help alleviate stress. • Promote ways to deal with stress in the run up to the exam period through informal workshops teaching student’s things like effective time management and other hints and tips to avoid melt down! • To individually help every student that comes to me with a problem, as best as I can :)
