The Senior Center program offers a wide array of trips, activities, classes, games and other groups. Please call the center at 778-4399 for information. Activities include Exercise, Drawing, Quilting, Bridge, MahJong, Writers Workshop, TOPS, Ping Pong, Watercolor, Bocce Ball, Scrabble, Line Dancing, and more. The center offers exciting trips in groups of 1525 with a balance of education and entertainment including engaging sightseeing and activities. Senior Advisory Committee... meetings are open to the public and held monthly on Wednesdays at 10am, at the Novak Center.

us share our joy of dance with your youngster. Your young dancer will be introduced to rhythms and movement through dance and mime. We use hand-held instruments, costumes and props to enhance motor development. Moms or Dads participate with their child for a wonderful sharing experience. (Please, Moms or Dads only) A wonderful beginning movement class for budding dancers. Clothing: Girls; any colored leotard, pink tights and pink leather ballet shoes. Children’s Pre-Ballet Children learn essential technique as they act and dance stories, listen to and clap the rhythms of classical music, learn how to stretch and balance, pretend, imagine and improvise while having lots of fun. Tap, Ballet & Jazz This is a great introduction to rhythm and movement! During class we transform from graceful cats to tapping alligator and other fun characters. The class covers the basic tap and ballet steps. We also play a variety of musical instruments in a parade to work on rhythm. Parents are always welcome to observe classes. Tap and ballet shoes are provided! Please wear socks or tights. Intermediate In this class we are learning more complicated dance steps and routines. Judo is a Martial Art that was developed in Japan from Jujitsu in the late 19th century. Judo translates to the “gentle way” and teaches the principle of flexibility in the application of technique. This includes the efficient use of balance, leverage, and movement in the performance of Judo throws and other skills. Learn skill, technique, and timing, rather than the use of brute strength to overcome a stronger opponent. All students must register with USJA or USJF. This is an annual membership required for all students to compete in tournaments, promotions, and insurance. Promotions will be based on student’s commitment and ability and will not be required to take any “tests” but based on the traditional method of promotion as practiced in Japan.
