PERKINS+WILL / 2016 YEARBOOK

Letter From the MD Boston has been building momentum in 2017, with over 100 projects on the boards, and several notable openings this year. Our diverse practice areas continue to find ways to work together in more integrated ways, leveraging one another’s expertise to find creative design solutions for our clients. Some highlights from the different corners of our office: We’ve been watching construction of the Exchange at 100 Federal Street from our office – it’s an amazing public space that transformed a dark corporate plaza into an enclosed light-filled atrium. It will house four food venues, a massive LCD screen for various events, and promises to be “The Meeting Space” in Boston’s financial district. Our new hospitality practice has been on fire, with over 24 projects set to open across the US, and several already opening this year to rave reviews from the operators. Full of great stories, these new hotels are changing the face of hospitality in their respective cities. The Science+Technology group still dominates so much of their market in our backyard, but they have been growing nationally and even internationally with the notable win of the TTEC master plan at Trinity College in Dublin.

PERKINS+WILL / 2016 YEARBOOK

We are all looking forward to rolling up our sleeves on some amazing new projects that will kick off next year, but maybe none quite as fun as the Hasbro Headquarters promises to be. We continue to be on the edge of thought leadership, having hosted over a dozen client and industry events to discuss a broad range of topics including diversity in design, resiliency, convergence in science, and the future of libraries. In addition we host over 30 events for fun, community building, and bonding. Next year looks to be equally strong and exciting beginning with a refresh of our own work space, where we are engaging the entire staff to share their ideas on how they work, collaborate, and have fun.
