Perkins Eastman is once again proud to offer its Architectural Fellowship for the Public Realm, an annual summer program for a select student who demonstrates a keen interest in examining the interface between architectural design and public life. The paid summer fellowship is approximately nine weeks long and takes place in the firm’s headquarters in New York City’s Flatiron District. This year’s fellow may assist with a variety of design and planning projects in a number of building types, and will help form a team to develop a project of their

own. This project may focus on an issue concerning how design affects public life or human interaction, and propose some form of intervention. During the program, there will be opportunities to receive feedback on the project from both peers and industry professionals working in the field. The final project and relevant findings will be delivered in the form of a design proposal in a seminar setting. Perkins Eastman will also make available opportunities for publishing the final project in a variety of media.
