The Professional Internship Program includes a vocational placement designed to give students an opportunity to apply the theory and skills they have learnt whilst studying in a professional workplace. Under the Fair Work Act 2009, vocational placements are lawfully unpaid, and students completing a vocational placement are not considered to be employees.

Statement of Attainment BSBIND201 Work effectively in a business environment – Issued on successful completion of assessments during the WIL placement. Readygrad Certificate of Completion – Issued on successful completion of all pre-placement workshops and preparation, relevant consultations, host company interviews, course evaluations, and meeting the requirements of the training agreement and attendance of the WIL placement.
‡Readygrad Professional Internship Programs specialise in the fields of accounting, engineering, finance, HR, IT, marketing and supply chain/logistics placements. Placements in other disciplines and engineering may take up to 8 weeks to secure as these areas have a broader scope across the market. Readygrad works hard to ensure that student placements are conducted in a Professional company that meets regulatory requirements as well as student’s needs. At times this process can take between 4-8 weeks.

Consultation and Preparation
Professional Internship Placement
This first stage is all about getting you ready for your internship placement.
For many the internship placement is the most exciting part of the program. It’s the opportunity to start building your professional experience and make yourself more employable.
You’ll be matched with one of Readygrad’s Placement Consultants who will mentor and guide you throughout the placement process. Your consultant will work with you to understand your career goals, interests and training needs, and work with you to update your resume. You’ll also attend one of our interview workshops where we focus on giving you the tips and tools to ace your interview and boost your confidence. During this stage our Placements Team will be working hard matching you with suitable placement opportunities. We will arrange interviews, provide you with interview feedback and continue to present your resume until we secure you a professional internship placement in your relevant field of study. You will also start working towards your certificate in BSBIND201 Work effectively in a business environment.

This means you will be provided with a training plan for your internship with clear learning outcomes to ensure you are gaining real, relevant industry experience to help your professional development and give you the edge in gaining your dream job. You’ll also work towards a nationally recognised qualification that you can add to your resume. Unique to Readygrad this is the first, and only, accredited internship program of its kind in Australia.

Program Fees and Payment
You can apply online or complete and submit the enrolment form via email, post or in person. Before you apply you’ll need to check you meet the eligibility requirements of the Professional Internship Program and have the following documents ready to include:
To be eligible for the Professional Internship Program you must meet the following criteria:
2 x $1250 – 50% due on enrolment; 50% due on the Friday of week 4.

// Availability for a minimum of 3 days a week during office hours for placement // Abide by the Readygrad Student Code of Conduct, including maintaining professional standards and attitudes at all times at Readygrad campuses and at the host company
Additional requirements in order to undertake the placement in a chosen profession are not included in the course costs and must be organised and paid for by the student prior to commencement of the placement.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer Eligible students may be able to apply for RPL or credit transfer if authenticated evidence is supplied. Please refer to the Student Handbook for more information.
