SPANISH FOOD

“Paella” is named after the pan that it should be cooked in and it is one of the most common rice dishes of Spain. It is a saffron rice dish to be exact and it can be combined with a variety of ingredients. Generally, it includes white fish, shrimp, squids, clams, meat or vegetables. There are several variations, but here is one of the simplest!

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 onion, chopped

1 teaspoon paprika

300g paella rice

400g canned tomatoes

900ml chicken stock

lemon juice

parsley for garnish INGREDIENTS

Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan. Add the chopped onion and stir for 5 minutes. Mix in the paprika seasoning and the paella rice, stirring for 1 minute. Once the water has evaporated, stir in the tomatoes and chicken stock. Leave this mixture to cook until the rice is tender, approximately 15 minutes.
