HIP HOORAY FOR PLAY WITH only a month to go until the school holiday and Christmas break Council is keen to see more youth play space in our area and has released four possible location options in Peregian Springs for the play space — and it needs your comment! Have your say on Peregian Springs active play space options before December 16. Councillor for Division 9, Steve Robinson, has listened to Peregian Springs community requests for a new public area to help older children be active outdoors. Sunshine Coast Council now invites the public to have their say on the four potential locations identified by Council for the multi-purpose active play space. A Council spokesperson says the
four sites, which vary in size and suitability for various recreation activities, have been shortlisted following evaluations of several locations. Continued page 3
New player found for the golf course NEWS of the golf club and course reopening in December, with Victorian course operator Golf Services Management Pty Ltd as operator/ manager, is welcomed by residents keen to see the facility in use again. GSM will operate the Course and Club under a 5 year lease, with an option of a further 5 years. The lease between Golf Course owner, Peregian Springs Golf Holdings Limited (which
has four Aveo Group employees on the Board) was finalised around a week ago. In a statement Holdings said the signing of GSM was the result of an “urgent but thorough process undertaken by the Board of Holdings” to find an operator with “necessary experience and resources” to maintain and run the course as a “sustainable” “high quality golf course.” (More page 8)
