BARNS LANE KICKS OFF IT'S FULL STEAM AHEAD FOR THE UNIQUE AGRITOURISM PROJECT PLANNED FOR BARNS LANE AT COOLUM WITH COUNCIL APPROVAL NOW GRANTED.
Sharing the good news on site at 39 Barns Lane on May 11 the developers, Helen and Jason Grant and Jonathan Leishman, were enthusiastic about bringing their proposal to life by the end of 2023 and becoming a big part of the local community. Already the team have been working with the teachers and students of Coolum Beach State School, just next door to the site, about the orchard that will be planted on site, the gardens, and Peregian Springs News - June 2022
the local produce that will be showcased in a 2000sqm produce hall that is at the heart of the project’s offer. Jason said the way the project would be developed would add more than 360 car parks to the area which would be available for parents of the state school to use at drop off and pick up, hopefully helping to ease some of the congestion at the Sunshine Coast Motorway and Yandina-Coolum Rd roundabout at the same time. The 6.8 hectare site will eventually have more than three hectares of productive garden beds. Continued page 2
