SURF RANCH IN LIMBO WHERE, OR IF, A WORLD SURF LEAGUE WAVE POOL USING KELLY SLATER WAVE SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY WILL BE BUILT ON THE SUNSHINE COAST REMAINS A MYSTERY.

The pool is a central pillar of a proposed development by Consolidated Properties Group on 510 hectares of land off Yandina Coolum Rd to the west of the Sunshine Coast Motorway. The development is proposed to also include a 6-star eco-lodge, event and training facilities, tourism accommodation, indigenous cultural experiences, and 1500 residential properties. The project has been under discussion with the State Government since 2019 with its Coolum News - March 2021

developers requiring a change of zoning to allow the project to proceed. Consolidated Properties Group CEO and Chairman Don O’Rorke told Coolum News this week the project is still being considered by the Government. “We are currently working with the State Government to work out the most effective planning process to deliver certainty to the region, our investors, and facilitate the delivery of the project in a timely and effective way,” Mr O’Rorke said. “The State Government is still considering the project and we are working to a decision of Government on the project proceeding.”
