October downturn swamps us.... Due to a sudden and unexpected downturn in custom since the end of September (35% below last year each week in October) we have decided to close. The legals are on our home page here. Also in this final edition   

the October winner of the Bollinger Wedding snaps The highs and lows...

Highs and lows over 4.6 years... In February 2007 we purchased the business and set about a 4 week transformation of the restuarant - having never operated one before there were a few teething troubles... The builders left the premises at 6pm on the pre-opening night 30 March 2007, which was sold out - we had to go home and change and start full service at 6:30pm Remember that! The former frontage

The Winner of the October competition is... Sheila B from Malvern - well done - we'll be delivering the bubbly to you soon.

Planning Farce If you were in Malvern in 2007 or early 2008 you probably remember the most cost effective marketing campaign ever! For the price of two planning applications we had constant press coverage, a 2,500 signature petition and BBC TV coverage. RHS judges dine under the 'heinous brolly' during the 2007 Spring Show!

Our hope that the proposed Morgan Statue would boost trade didn't come to fruition in time - but we're pleased to see that the recent 'Autumn Charity Ball' in aid of the project raised over £11,000!

Thanks to Claire & the team A big word of thanks to Claire who has been our support, referee and manager for over three and a half years. Also to the part time team Kirsty, Hannah, Charlotte and Amy - and to the backroom boys Chris and Sam who have supported Matt in the kitchen, we wish each of you every future success

Weddings We have seen many couples wed and some return with their previous and/or subsequent children too!

Wine We started our Pepper & Oz journey knowing very little about wine, except that we couldn't cope with much of it hence wine by the glass. We have now tasted hundreds of wines and hope that you too have discovered some new flavours with us. Seyval Blanc grapes at Coddington Vineyard last autumn

We recommend Majestic Wines Worcester who since June have supplied most of our stock

TripAdvisor No other Worcestershire restaurant has so many excellent ratings! Of course we (Pete) wasn't always perfect! A few howlers from the world's leading travel review web site...
