Patriot Environmental Perspective

W E PUT THE P.E.P. IN OUR TEAM’S STEP!

ISSUE 2

– Patriot Environmental strives to be the premier provider of comprehensive environmental services in the Western United States. #Preparedand Professional

34th Annual Coastal Cleanup On September 15, 2018, Patriot joined nearly 55,000 other Californians to take part in the 34th annual California Coastal Cleanup Day. This was the state’s largest annual volunteer event organized by the California Coastal Commission. Volunteers worked together in gathering tons of trash at beaches, shorelines and inland waterways, cleaning up at more than 1,000 sites in 55 of California’s 58 counties - the largest collection of sites in the cleanup’s history. Cleanups took place up and down the coast, from Oregon to the Mexico border and as far inland as Lake Tahoe. California’s event is part of the International Coastal Cleanup, organized by Ocean Conservancy. Locally, Patriot worked with the El Dorado Nature Center, and the city of Long Beach to participate—more than 367 tons of trash, and recyclable materials were collected state-wide! Patriot Environmental Services strives to give back to the community and highly encourages employees to particiapte. Interested in joining future community action events? Keep an eye out for the announcements from our Marketing Manager, Jennifer Diamond (jdiamond@patriotenvironmental.com), regarding Patriot’s next community action event. Come bond with other Patriot Team Members, while helping others at the same time. It’s a win-win! The next event Patriot will be participating in will be around Thanksgiving time. Hope to you see you all there!

Message From Your CEO Patriot has a long standing and well-deserved reputation as a premier emergency/spill response company. It's an important part of our past and an absolutely essential part of our future. However, as you know, Patriot is not just an ER company these days. We send out trained employees and properly equipped trucks every day to support industrial cleaning and waste management jobs. We have very busy and growing fixed disposal facilities in Orange County, and will soon open a new solidification plant near Bakersfield. We have an active and growing remediation service line that is investing in growth throughout California. This diversity is a good thing, as there are many advantages to being a full scale multi-service company in the environmental services industry. We have a greater ability to weather oil price fluctuations. We can keep more talented people employed and busy across the full annual construction cycle. And we can solve a greater array of problems for our customers, allowing us to develop relationships that are based on real value and not just low prices. We will be ready, willing, and able to respond to spills of all sizes, always and forever. But we will also continue to build around the full spectrum of talents and relationships that all of you bring to work with you everyday. Doing so will help us continue to make Patriot a great company for our customers to work with...and more importantly, a great place for all of you to build your careers and take care of your families. Thanks for being "prepared and professional" in every service we provide.

Brian

IN THE SPOTLIGHT Vanessa benitez Vanessa joined Patriot in August 2018 as the Contracts Administrator in the Corporate Office. She has immediately made contributions to the speed, timing, and value of customer contract / MSA review and vendor prequalifications. She was particularly helpful in helping us to beat a recent deadline for getting a properly documented performance bond in place in support of a large contract for the Remediation Services Division. Always smiling and always ready to help, Vanessa is a fantastic addition to our Corporate services team!

Dan Frost Dan joined Patriot in January 2015 and has led our Operations Group in Mira Loma to great success over the years. Dan is a key point of contact with SoCal Edison and is a true operations expert, with experience across the full-spectrum of Patriot services. Dan and Patriot Project Manager, Vince Moore, also recently went way above and beyond to provide support and leadership in helping to stabilize and reinvigorate our Las Vegas operations in a way that will allow us to continue to grow into the future there. Dan embodies the Patriot motto of “prepared and professional!”
