Minister Jeffery Muhammad to be honored for 20 years of leadership and service Jeffery Muhammad, Student M i n i s t e r o f t h e Ho n o r a b l e Minister Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam’s Muhammad Mosque No. 48 in Dallas, Texas will be honored Saturday, April 19, 2014, 6p.m. at the Mosque which is located at 2429 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The keynote speaker will be Student Regional Minister Robert Muhammad of Houston. For the past 20 years Min. Jeffery Muhammad has been at the helm of Muhammad’s Mosque No. 48. B o r n i n L a ke C h a r l e s , Louisiana, Brother Muhammad graduated from Lake Charles – Boston High School and moved to Dallas in 1985 to attend the Devry Institute of Technology.

In 1988 he said he heard a lecture entitled, “Where Is Your Head”, by the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, the Man he thanks for saving his life by lifting his head out of a life of alcohol, drugs and crime, and inspiring him to complete his studies to receive a B . S. D e g r e e i n E l e c t r o n i c Engineering Technology in 1989.

Min. Jeffer y, as he is affectionatel y known and referred as throughout the DallasFort Worth Metroplex, has lectured in universities, colleges, prisons and has collaborated with others to create Summer Youth Jo b Pr o g r a m s t h a t focused on paying youth to learn trades in the construction industry. He also served as Chair of the Dallas Local Organizing Committee, which organized and mobilized thousands of Black men from Dallas to participate in the Historic Million Man March in 1995.

He a t t e n d s s c h o o l b o a r d meetings, speaks at correctional facilities and he’s even provided his support to community protests. It is especially endearing and enlightening to see him interacting with the students who attend Muhammad University of Islam. He is patient, but stern and in addition to focusing on educating the children, he ensures that they are disciplined and prepared to become leaders.
