3. Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet and spread the honey and soy mixture over each fillet
4. Place 1-3 sprigs of fresh rosemary on top of each salmon fillet
5 Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste
6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and golden brown
7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot

If you like crispy skin and want to avoid sogginess, pat the salmon dry and sear skin-side down first

Marina Manager Reminder

The water on the docks will be shut off approximately mid-December, unless of course the temps get colder sooner.
Be sure and stabilize your fuel. This helps keep fuel fresh and helps with moisture.
Fill fuel tank to 90%. This leaves room for expansion and will help with condensation.
Pump out waste. This will make for a much better experience next time you board the boat…!
Winterize all systems, water, waste, engines, etc. by flushing the system with nontoxic anti-freeze or protecting with an APPROVED heating source!
Take any excess items, towels, floats, etc. off the boat to help avoid mold and mildew in the spring.
Charge your batteries!
Cover the boat. Make sure all poles are secure and covers are tied down.
CHECK YOUR BOAT!! Don’t put away and forget. This most always is a very costly mistake!!
There are many other factors to keep in mind when preparing for the winter but just always remember a little bit of prep can save a whole lot of money!

As fall colors are now upon us, we enjoy spectacular boating on Lake Norman with cool temperatures, fair winds, and light traffic.
The October Pirate Treasure Hunt is an annual favorite for the children, and it did not disappoint this year. What a great success with 73 registrants and 40 volunteers! A big thank you to the PTH Team!!
Our 33rd Peninsula Cup Regatta was also a great success yet again. Wonderful October weather kept the competition tight with two of our boats winning 2 place awards in their respective classes - Gold Digger, owned by Jeff Bodkin, and Mad Hatter, owned by Mark Cook. Congratulations skippers and Pen Cup volunteers!
As we approach year-end, the 2025 Fleet Committee has executed 28 amazing events. And rest assured, your 2026 Fleet Committee will be ready to do the same!
Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving!
To fair winds and following seas, Tim Harbick
2025 Vice Commodore

After a busy sail racing scene over the past couple of months, things will be quiet now for the holidays. However, this doesn’t mean it is not a good time to be out on your sailboat enjoying the beautiful fall weather! The leaves turn beautiful colors and the breezes are more predictable: great conditions for that lovely cruise on the lake. The next regatta on the schedule is the Icicle Series in midJanuary. The PYC Fleet Committee hosted this event in 2025, so this year it will be hosted by either OYC or LNYC. Details will be reported on the club website as soon as we know them. Enjoy the holidays!

The Fleet Committee is a dedicated group of volunteer members who collaborate with club management to host a variety of events for our members. Some of these events also support local charities by raising funds. The Social Scene offers a fun and easy way to get involved with both the club and the Fleet Committee. It’s a great opportunity to share fresh ideas, meet new people, and volunteer for upcoming events!
