1997
Pengrowth acquires the Judy Creek and Swan Hill properties, which at the time was the largest oil and gas property acquisition in the history of the Canadian oil patch.
2001
Pengrowth purchases an interest in the Sable Offshore Energy Project (SOEP) for $256 million.
Pengrowth purchases Emera Offshore Energy’s 2003 8.4 percent working interest in the SOEP facilities.
The Pengrowth Nova Scotia Energy Scholarship was initiated 2005 with the purpose of enhancing the skills of Nova Scotia students.
Pengrowth acquires Canadian oil and gas properties and undeveloped lands 2007 from ConocoPhillips for $1.0 billion. The transaction represented one of the largest producing property acquisitions in the energy trust sector. Pengrowth sells $480 million in properties, rationalizing Pengrowth’s property portfolio. This move high graded Pengrowth’s portfolio and reduced the indebtedness required to close the ConocoPhillips transaction.
