Ideas to Actions
Teach, Learn and Earn
VocalEyes is a digital utility designed to assist the process of turning good ideas into tangible action. Pembrokeshire College captured over 26,000 interactions with many positive outcomes in the first academic year following installation.
VocalEyes offers a digital platform for ideas and discussion away from public platforms such as Facebook and Twitter - focusing the debate and protecting your reputation. VocalEyes offers opportunities for teaching and learning Social Media, Active Citizenship and Sustainability.
VocalEyes also offers income generation and business development opportunities. Working with us, colleges wishing to enhance their position in the centre of their communities can provide local organisations with the technology and stakeholder engagement strategies to assist them in better listening to and engaging with their own stakeholder groups.
VocalEyes is cited by Welsh Education inspectors (ESTYN) as an example of Best Practice (July 2013) and is shortlisted for a TES award 2014. “VocalEyes has provided an opportunity for the College to take Learner Voice into a new era.” Maxine Thomas, Director of Learner Services, Pembrokeshire College
Staff Voice Pembrokeshire College used VocalEyes to underpin its staff consultation during Institutional Planning Day 2013 capturing over 4,000 ratings in 90 minutes. Savings were identified during that consultation process to be worth £28,500; representing a significant return on investment.
SMT development VocalEyes taps into the wisdom of your people and helps to enhance the leadership culture of your organisation. “Those in authority can effectively hear the voice of those they represent and respond quickly and decisively.” Jane Davidson, Director of INSPIRE, UWTSD
Peter Davies, the Welsh Government’s Commissioner for Sustainable Futures, is utilising VocalEyes in educational establishments to conduct a ‘Big Conversation’ with young people in Wales as part of his consultation process for the Future Generations Bill. The ideas suggested and prioritised will help inform Government about ‘The Wales We Want’ from now until 2050.
