The square perforations on one face direct the ambient light entering the waffle structure.

Solid panels create a distinct boundary between exterior and interior space. The protruding folded profiles with perforations allow light to enter the volume and casts shadows that reflect the intricate form of the structure.

The panels decrease in size towards the bottom left sector of the volume. As the panels converge towards attractor point the scale decreases.

A hollow waffle structure allows for a threshhold between internal and external space. When viewed from the side profile, the structure appears to be inclined in one direction with one side perpendicular to the ground plane.

the original shape of the section cut is still highly distinct as a form with the booleaned geometry contained within. The section cut was positioned in a manner that still allows enough solid forms to be exposed in order to view the distinct transition between solid and void spaces.

Where the intersecting geometry interacts with the surface envelope, a more ambient and open space is created.

Points at which geometry almost intersects the adjacent profile creates density within the volume and creates a sensation heaviness to the above structure.

Heavier and darker spaces are created with booleen intersections that do not interact with the surface of the geometry.

The solids embeded in the distance can also be interpreted as space. When the positive and negative space is inverted it creates a an abruptly deflected network of spaces composed of rectilinear polygons.
