PNW ELIMINATE PROJECT The PNW Eliminate Project Link is below. You can get updated on what the district is doing. Just like the page!

Project Eliminate Do your part EDUCATE yourself. ADVOCATE to the world. INVEST to save and protect. ELIMINATE maternal and neonatal tetanus.

What is the ELIMINATE Project? The Eliminate Project is a joint project with Kiwanis and UNICEF to internationally terminate MNT. What is MNT? In 30 countries around the world, maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT) can quickly turn the joy of childbirth into tragedy. MNT kills one baby every nine minutes. Its effects are excruciating– tiny newborns suffer repeated, painful convulsions and extreme sensitivity to light and touch. There is little hope of survival. And tetanus kills mothers too.

Who suffers from MNT? MNT is caused when tetanus spores, found in soil everywhere, come into contact with open cuts during childbirth. The disease strikes the poorest of the poor, the geographically hard to reach and those without health care.

$1.80 = enough to save a mother and her newborn’s lives.

Goals for Division 33

• Before we try to mingle with other divisions, I would like to have the schools in our division come closer.

• I hope each club can grow both in membership and in leadership as we make Division 33 better.

Early Bird

• PAY those dues! This year we got great seats at DCON so lets keep up the good work and see the speakers up front for DCON 2014.

• Key Club is a great club that has a lot of great people in it so go meet new people and have FUN!

• I know school work is very hard itself but I hope you can manage time to do great as an officer or member as well. • Whether it's gathering more members or striving for awards at DCON, I want you to set goals for the following year.
