Table of Contents • Welcome Message Spring is such an exciting time for us at Peachland Recreation. We have just launched new recreation software that will not only help us with rentals and registrations but will also allow you – the consumer – to book programs online, manage your account and view activities happening in our facilities. This initiative was a priority recommendation in the 2009 Recreation Master Plan and we are thrilled that it is now a reality. We know that the new system will not be without lumps and bumps – but we hope that you enjoy it as much as we do.

Testimonial – Christy Feagan

My husband and I moved to West Kelowna in 2004. We have always loved the west and of all the places we’ve lived this area felt like home. I enjoy taking aqua fitness twice a week and would like to try weight training again sometime. I like to spend spare time with my computer, reading and getting texts about our new grandchild. We are taking Country Two Step classes at Peachland Recreation Centre now and having so much fun we plan to take another class. The instructors are patient and explain the moves thoroughly and repeatedly for those of us with short memories.

Summer Swim Program Help your child develop a healthy lifestyle through swimming. Your child will learn to swim and stay safe in a fun environment that promotes a personal best and celebrates individual success. Our small class sizes in the beautiful Okanagan Lake make it an unique swim experience. Classes may be re-organized to ensure that children are participating at the most appropriate skill level. In the beginner levels, children will focus on getting comfortable in the water, water safety and will learn progressions that will lead to stroke development in the higher levels. As the children progress, they will learn both competitive and survival strokes while building their distance and speed. Children will also learn about making safe decisions in, on and around the water. In each level, participants are evaluated based on performance criteria and progress to the next level once all criteria have been successfully completed
