3 Year San Francisco Trip To show our support and brotherhood within the Alpha Psi chapter, many brothers decided to visit San Francisco on October 14 to visit third-year brothers on rotations. Those who went can verify that the trip was well worth the trip to the city! Fundraising week Oct 24 to Oct 28 was our semi-annual fundraising week. Brothers came together to sell Thomas J. Long apparel as well as our famous Spam Musubi. Each brother contributed time to table as well as aid brother Lisa Keikoan in the culinary art that is spam and rice. At the week’s end, the fraternity made over $500 in spam musubi sales and $800 in apparel sales. Founders Day On November 2, the brothers took time out of their busy schedules to honor the founding of the Fraternity. Gathering under the UOP Signboard, the brothers were photographed to capture brotherhood at its finest. Alpha Psi also came together to have a fun and relaxing barbeque on the 4, hoping to start a new Founders Day tradition. Pre-rush #2 Bowling with the Bros Bowling with the Bros, was a major success, with 53 potentials coming out to meet the Brothers of Phi Delta Chi! Transportation was provided by the Brothers to the event location, where both potentials and Brothers could make bonds over the clash of bowling balls and pins.
Community Saturday PIE On October 22 and 29, brothers volunteered with CCI to teach groups of children about eating right and healthy living. After going over worksheets about the new food pyramid and teaching the kids how to read food labels, brothers took them outside to get their blood pumping in a friendly obstacle course competition. Safe Trick-or-Trreat On Oct 26, the brothers participated in UOP’s annual safe trick or treat. The timehonored fishing game was set up and the brothers had a good time interacting with monsters, princesses and superheroes. Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF and Canned Food Collection Oct 31 was a fruitful night for the trick-or-treaters of Alpha Psi. They collected over 200 lbs of non- perishable food items and over $200 of spare change for UNICEF! Up till Dawn Brothers had a blast being a part of St. Judes' Up ‘Til Dawn event on Nov 3rd. They celebrated the hard work of all the teams that raised money and learned a little more about how the funds collected was able to bring hope to children at St. Judes’ hospitals.
