House Retreat: On Sunday September 11th, brothers headed to Pleasanton for the annual house retreat. The chapter took a day in the sun to assess the past year, plan for the new one ahead, and enjoy one another’s company. House BBQs: Brothers fired up the weekend grill and held house barbeques to unwind and relax. Brothers ate together, played together, and even watched a little Saturday night UFC Pre-Rush #1 – Pizza Night with the Bros: Looking forward to another amazing pre-rush and rush season, Phi Delta Chi hosted its first pre-rush event, on Wednesday September 14th. With many potentials in attendance and lots of friendly brothers, it was an exciting start to the pre-rush season. Gamma Iota Rush Dinner: The brothers got the chance to meet the potentials of Gamma Iota at their Rush Dinner in Roseville on September 23rd. A night of fine dining and good company fired the brothers up for our own rush season to come. SJPHA Volleyball: On Saturday, September 17th, several brothers participated in the volleyball tournament hosted by the San Joaquin Pharmacists Association. Kamanawanalea: Phi Delta Chi’s had another successful Hawaiian Bash on Friday September 30th. The night went without any hitches and everyone had fun!

ANNOUNCEMENTS Congratulations to brother Chintan Shah for being nominated as our Most Influential Student Leader! He will appear in the special edition Student Leadership Issue of The Pacifican!

Habitat for Humanity: Brothers picked up their hammers and slathered on the sunscreen for a day of house construction on the weekend of September 10th for Habitat for Humanity. Brothers worked through the blazing afternoon under the guidance of 2 skilled foremen to build homes for low income families. ReStore Outlet: Just down Fremont Street in Stockton, brothers helped the ReStore Outlet organize its inventory on October 17th and got to learn a little about how the store is dedicated to helping the community and the environment.

Professional YMCA/PDC Health Fair: On October 1st, Phi Delta Chi helped co-organize a community health fair with the YMCA of San Joaquin County. The brothers who volunteered their time were able to reach out to a wide range of members from the community, making it a very successful event.
