Hello everyone! My name is Dillon and I’m a 2-year-old, Boxer mix who is 57 pounds. I’m already neutered and vaccinated. I have been waiting and waiting for the perfect family to come along. Don’t know what’s taking so long because I am a GEM of a dog! I am a healthy, gentle, quiet and playful boy who loves other dogs. I am super-easy to train, know basic commands, have excellent house manners, and I’m crate and leash-trained. I will do best in a home with grown children and not alone all day. If you’re interested in adopting me or want more information, call April with Furever Friends Animal Rescue at 910-383-0287 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Better yet, fill out an adoption application online at fureverfriendsnc.com. Thank you to Kelly and Diane from PawPrints for allowing me to be on the cover and to Michael Cline Photography for the great photos of me. One last thing, mark your calendars for May 19, 2018! Furever Friends is planning a celebration event to mark 10-years as a non-profit animal rescue organization. Watch for details in the next issue of PawPrints.

Tel. 910-799-3611 I’m as close to a dog as a kitty can get! I’m Georgia Peach and some might say I’m a puppy masquerading as a beautiful orange and white Tabby. I will play fetch with my toys, I’ll greet you at the front door when you come home, and I’ll hang out with you just like a devoted canine. And you know how they say dogs are a man’s best friend? Well, I’m a man’s best friend…literally! I just LOVE men...they totally rock! I love women, too, but men are my fave. I’m a young, friendly girl who is spayed, vaccinated and litterbox-trained. I enjoy laying in laps and I’ll sleep in bed with you if it’s allowed. I lost my home when my owner became ill and I’m searching for a place where I can be the only pet. Is there a retired gentleman or couple out there searching for a girl like me? Or perhaps a young family looking for a friendly companion? Call my foster mom Karen at 910-232-5810 and give me a chance. You will not be disappointed! I am sponsored by Viki in loving memory of Marigold.

I will give you lots of love and cuddles and I’ll be your very best friend, too! I am microchipped, neutered and I’ve received my age appropriate vaccines. If you are interested in meeting me, please complete an adoption application on Dauntless Dog Rescue’s website at ddrnc.org. Adoption Options We are all from different Animal Rescues. Please read our stories! PENDER ENDANGERED ANIMAL RESCUE (P.E.A.R.) Hi, I’m an American Staffordshire mix named Sparky! I’m a young boy who is full of spunk and energy. I love attention and I love to run and play fetch. I especially love getting in your lap! I’m also neutered, vaccinated and in great health. I just want a loving home to call my own. Please contact PEAR and let’s see if we’re a match! They can be reached at 910-675-0867 or you can send an email to email@example.com.
COLUMBUS HUMANE SOCIETY Hi, my name is Christopher and I have a huge personality! I am looking for my forever home and I know you are out there. I love to cuddle and have belly rubs and I am the best form of laughter and entertainment ever. I get along great with children and other cats. Please let me into your heart. I would love to be adopted with my identical twin brother, Leon, as we have been through a lot together. If you're looking for a terrific cat and have lots of love to give, please call 910-499-1148 or visit www.columbushumanesociety.org.
LONG CREEK ANIMAL RESCUE My name might be Alaska but that doesn't mean I'm cold! I'm a fully vetted gray and white girl who's just over 1-year-old. I was rescued, along with my five siblings, from an empty house when I wasn't even weaned yet. Can you believe the owner wanted to put out poison to kill us all? How cruel! That rocky start left me a little nervous around new people but I promise, once I get to know you, I'm just about the most loving, goofy, laid-back snuggle bug you'll ever meet. I even like dogs! It's not their fault they can't be as pretty as me, right? Give Long Creek Animal Rescue a call at 910-617-6290 or 704-682-2529 if you're ready to see just how warm Alaska can be!

OPERATION TOPCAT My name is Heidi and I’m a friendly 2-year-old Tabby and white girl. I was rescued along with my three new babies. I was a caring, protective mom. I am sweet, I like people and I will sit in your lap and purr my heart out. I am good with other cats. I have not been around dogs but if the dog is calm, I think I could be fine with them. I adjusted quickly with the cats and activity in my foster home. I’m looking for a loving, inside home. To meet me, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 910-200-0612.
A SHELTER FRIEND Are you an active person? Sign up here! My name is Spot. I have energy to spare and would love to share it to keep you motivated in your New Year resolutions. I am a lovely spotty girl, healthy and about 4-years-old. My best friend, a male dog, was adopted a few weeks ago and now I am lost and depressed. I would absolutely give my whole heart to the right person! I have been spayed, am current on vaccinations and heartworm preventative. Please call Silvia at 910-876-0539 to learn all about me and how we can meet. Let’s exercise our way into Spring together! You can visit us online at www.AShelterFriend.org and www.facebook.com/ashelterfriend.
ONSLOW COUNTY PARTNERS FOR ANIMAL WELFARE (OCPAW) My name is Teacup as I am a very tiny, young adult female. I am missing half a leg from an old injury that is now completely healed. My angel took pity on me as it was so very cold and he could see how I was struggling to survive. It was so difficult to find shelter and enough food because my mobility was so limited. When I was found, I was emaciated, dehydrated and very malnourished. My angel has given me hope with a taste of paradise in the warmth of a foster home with good nourishing food to eat. I am a real beauty and now have no difficulty getting around, however I must be an indoor kitty because of my limitations. You could carry me in your pocket as I am so very small! Please call my OCPAW foster mom, Rita, at 910-358-7278.
Adoption Options We are all from different Animal Rescues. Please read our stories! PAWSITIVE PARTNERS PRISON PROGRAM My name is Frosty and I am living at Pender Prison and being trained by my inmate trainer under the supervision of Monty’s Home. I’m a sweet, spayed 4-year-old Walker Hound girl who is vaccinated and on heartworm prevention. I’m even micro-chipped! I am low-key, laid-back and smart. I am doing well with learning all my basic commands. I am cratetrained and will come to my new home with my very own crate! If you are looking for a sweetnatured addition to your family, call 703-864-5754 or email email@example.com. Better still, fill out an application at www.montyshome.org.
NHC RABBIT RESCUE OF WILMINGTON Hi, my name is Obi and I’m a spayed, 2-year-old girl. I’m Tan/Harlequin and weigh 5.5 pounds. I was pulled from Wake County Animal Control because I had two nasty abscesses that needed medical treatment. I was originally surrendered to the shelter because I had been fighting with another household rabbit. I received medical attention, antibiotics, and my infection cleared up. I am ready to go home with YOU! If you would like to know more about me, please email NHCRabbitRescue@gmail.com, call 910-686-9171 or visit us online at www.nhcrabbitrescue.com.
DAUNTLESS DOG RESCUE My name is Rugby and I’m an adorable Plott Hound mix. I’m a very sweet 1-year-old boy. It may take some time for me to settle in to my forever home but once I do, I’m very loyal and playful with my people. I am 50 pounds and I have a lot of energy. I would do best in an active home or one that has another dog for me to play with. I love being around other dogs or going on walks. I live with two cats in my foster home and they are very interesting, but I get bored with them when they won’t play with me. Fetch is my favorite game, and I love balls and toys that squeak. I also really like having a chew toy to gnaw on at night. For information, please visit www.ddrnc.org, call 910-777-7186 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
COASTAL ANIMAL RESCUE EFFORT (C.A.R.E.) Looking for a running companion, beach buddy or copilot? Well, so am I! My name is Rickie Bobby and I’m a 4-year-old Lab mix who is certain to be a great addition to your active lifestyle. Come visit me at C.A.R.E., 1808 Sir Tyler Drive in Wilmington, or call 910-256-2624 for adoption details.
FRESH START RESCUE, INC. COASTAL CANINE RESCUE I’m Nova, a 4-year-old Pit Bull mix who weighs 48 pounds. I am very friendly and love my foster brother. I’m energetic and love to play. I’ve been working on manners and leash walking but I’m very smart and learn very quickly! I’m very loving and have a great disposition. I’m a fun, spunky little girl who will be a great family companion. I’m up to date on shots, I’ve been spayed, dewormed, tested negative for heartworms and am on monthly heartworm prevention. My name is Rigby and I'm a Bearded Dragon. I love my salad and worms, and I never miss a meal. I'm a 3-year-old girl and my owner just didn't have time to handle me often. (910) 799-3400 Cats ~ Dogs Top ’o the mornin’ to ya! My name is Bernie and right now I am hanging out at SOAR with the rest of my doggie buddies. I turned a year old in July 2017 but I am still one of the most active dogs here. I can outplay ANYBODY! I am a sturdy, 50 pound Boxer/Hound mix, and the volunteers are working with me on my leash walks. They say I'm one smart dude and I play pretty well with others. I love treats and respond well to them. Also - it would be best for me if I had a fenced-in play area. Other than that - I have no restrictions! Call SOAR at 910-457-6340 and tell them you’re ready to come meet me!
Hey there! My name is Prince (A102540) and I am a 2-year-old, Yellow Labrador Retriever mix boy and I’m told I’m quite the character. If you are looking for a little silly in your life, I am definitely the guy you need. Can’t you picture us together: long walks on the beach, cuddling on the couch, strolls around the neighborhood? And, oh yes, I’m already neutered and my adoption fee includes a physical examination, heartworm test and rabies vaccination. I hope you’ll hurry over to the shelter and see why Labrador Retrievers are America’s most popular dog! For driving directions or more information, please call Brunswick County Sheriff’s Animal Protective Services at 910-754-8204.
I am sponsored by SOAR in loving memory of all their wonderful, furry friends who made it safely to the Rainbow Bridge.
I am sponsored in loving memory of Milo Valenti. If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.

Adopt-An-ANGEL Please call 910-392-0557 to adopt us! ►My name is Brownie. I am a 4-year-old Feist mix who is just 25 pounds. I am wonderful with dogs, cats, and kids. I love one on one attention along with playing outside. I am housetrained and cratetrained, but I’m still working on not pulling during walks on leash. My foster mom tells me how perfect I am. It’s a shame that I ended up homeless. If you would like to adopt a petite girl like me, please call my foster mom, Jackie, at 910-523-9719. ►My name is Piper. I am a 10-month-old kitten who has grown up in foster care. I am the last kitten left in my litter. I am absolutely adorable, sweet and so gentle. I have been exposed to cats, kids and dogs in my foster home, so I’d do well in a home with any of them. If you would like to meet me, call Jackie at 910-523-9719. ◄I’m Caroline, a 1½-year-old female who had babies last year. I am just looking for a home where I can relax and enjoy life. I am alright with other cats and dogs and kids, too. It's been a tough year competing with all the kittens and other cats looking for a home. I have definitely paid my homeless dues. If you would like to meet me, please call Jackie at 910-523-9719.
◄My name is Grace and I would love to meet you. I am a 1 to 2-year-old Russian Blue who is so friendly and sweet! I am laid-back, easy to get along with and do well with other animals. I love kids, too. I came from an overcrowded animal shelter and I am hoping a family will come get me quick. I’ve already been spayed and vaccinated. You can find me at PetSense in Shallotte or you can call Jill at 910-6203783. ►Hi, I’m Miss Merry! I have the cutest little pudgy face. You know I have those cheeks that grandma wants to squeeze! I have an endearing personality, too. I was surrendered to an overcrowded animal shelter and fortunately, Adopt-An-ANGEL took me in. Now, I am waiting at PetSense in Leland and hoping someone will come and take me home. For more info on me, please call Jackie at 910-523-9719. ►My name is Lala and I am a drop dead gorgeous Hound who is about 4years-old. I am true to my breed. Left unattended in a fenced-in yard, I may follow my nose and escape. Therefore, I must always be on a leash. I am wonderful with other dogs, but haven’t been around many cats before. I would be a great companion to another lonely dog. In fact, it would be beneficial for me to be in a home with other dogs. I am wonderful with kids, too. It would be ideal for me to be adopted by a Hound lover or someone with experience with Hounds. I’m already spayed and vaccinated so I’m ready to get this show on the road.

Hello, Halee here! You see my smile? Well, that gives a hint at how happy I am that I was rescued from that place with all of the cages and unhappy barking dogs. They brought me to this place with other dogs, a furry thing they call a cat, lots of food and water, these awesome things called toys, and the things that took a while to get used to...rules. Since I'm such a sassy smarty-pants, I tried to evade these rules and do what I wanted but my foster mom wouldn't let me. Turns out that she had the right idea! She gives me treats and lovin' when I do things like sit, lay down, come, and wait. Wait is my favorite! I have a cat and two other pups like me in the house. We do stuff together like patiently wait for mom to get dinner and breakfast together, do training stuff, and go out in the yard together. I have a lot of energy, so I love working and playing. They look at me kinda funny when I play with my toys in the house. I LOVE MY TOYS! It doesn't bother me when my fur siblings want to play with them either, which mom thinks is great. She also says I'm almost a perfect lady on walks. WALKS ARE AWESOME! I even play fetch and bring the ball back to my mom so she can throw it again. Mom says I learn best when I'm having fun. For an explanation of our adoption process, application, and fees, visit mpbf.org, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call Merit Pit Bull Foundation at 336-618-PITT. I am sponsored by Robyn Davis in loving memory of Beverly Shelton.
I’m a Lap Kitten named Buffy! At just 5-months-old, I thrive on attention and just love to be petted. I’m also a beautifully marked Calico with the cutest little pink nose. I’m such a sweet girl and I get along well with other cats. But I would also be happy as the only cat in the household if I can get lots of human love and attention. Like all kittens, I can get a burst of energy and bolt around the room like lightening, but as long as you have a nice soft bed or blanket (preferably pink) for my kitten naps then I’ll be just fine. Please come meet me at the Cat Adoption Center in Petsmart on New Centre Drive in Wilmington, or call Cat Adoption Team at 910-792-9014 for adoption information. I am sponsored by ECM Corporation. Thank you!
All 4 Cats Call or text 910-707-4372 or email email@example.com to adopt! ◄Do you want a lap cat (or two)? Quiet, sweet boys? No crazy kittens? We are Will and Jack and we are 9-years-old. Our owner is completely distraught, but has developed a severe allergy over the past year. No amount of medication (8 allergy shots each week) or environmental modifications are working. We really want to go together. I’m Jack and I have a white tip on my tail. We are both declawed and so sweet. On our first time out at an adoption fair at Petsmart, we let everyone give us a good ear scratch. Meet us Saturdays at PetSmart at Monkey Junction or meet us in our foster home by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling/texting 910-707-4372.
►I'm a 1½-yearold dilute Calico and I was rescued before the January snowstorm. My name is Gracie and I love to head butt you when I'm happy. I'm being fostered with 3 big dogs (Golden Retriever, Goldendoodle, and a Pit mix). They are OK but I don't get too close. I have been spayed, I have received my Rabies vaccine and I am healthy!! I like to spend my day lounging in a sink. If you have one, come meet me Saturdays at PetSmart at Monkey Junction! Or meet me in my foster home by emailing email@example.com or by calling/texting 910-707-4372.
◄Hello! We are Rayne (Tuxedo) and Stormy (Grey Tabby). We promise to bring you feelings of bright skies and sunshine. Our foster mom says I’m super social and loving and Stormy is more reserved (but coming out of his shell more every day). We are very bonded and prefer to go to a home together. We were born late-summer of 2016 and had a nice home for a good long while. But now, through no fault of our own, we are looking for a fresh new start. Would you like to kick off the new year with us? We can have a fresh new start together! Meet us in our foster home by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling/texting 910-707-4372.
◄We are Slade, Wally West, Beast Boy, and Dr. Light and our three sisters are not pictured. Most of us are shorthaired Grey/White/ Black Tabbies. Our brother, Wally West is a Tuxedo; our sister, Gizmo (not pictured), is a long haired white and black cat. We were born in early December. We love to play, but a couple of us are super laid-back and would love to snuggle most of the day. It would be best to adopt us in pairs, unless you have another furry friend at home who wants to play. We have a lot of kitten energy. Meet us Saturdays at PetSmart at Monkey Junction! Or meet us in our foster home by emailing email@example.com or by calling/texting 910-707-4372.
►Wow, we are the Teen Titans Gang. A nice little boy named us all. We’re Starfire and Raven and we did an awesome job raising our babies. Now, we would love a nice home. We can go together, alone, or with one of our kittens. Raven is more forward and asks for a head scratch but I’m a little cautious. Meet us Saturdays at PetSmart at Monkey Junction! Or meet us in our foster home by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling/texting 910-707-4372.
►We are Mrs. Claws, Holly, Coale, and Kurt and we are 6-months-old. We love to play and wrestle. We still have lots of kitten energy so it would be best if we had a furry companion to live with. Kurt is very skittish but loves other cats and is very cuddly once he comes out of his shell. The rest of us love everyone. We are purring machines! We're teaching Kurt that people are ok. Meet us Saturdays at PetSmart at Monkey Junction! Or meet us in our foster home by emailing email@example.com or by calling/texting 910-707-4372.

I'm Alfie. I shadow my foster mom's every move and I just want to be loved. I adjusted well to a three dog home with some very high energy and Alpha personalities. I just want to fit in. I love to play with the jolly ball and stuffed animals. I love to eat, too! I do not have accidents and I'm not destructive in the home. I know “stay” and will not rush a door. I know “sit” and “leave it” and I’m working on “down.” I love my treats and training time. I have a cherry eye which requires eye drops twice a day, but it does not bother me. CAT: Cat Adoption Team Please call 910-792-9014 to adopt us! ◄Hi, everyone! My name is Sherlock and I’m a 7-month old kitten with the cutest white chest, belly, paws and whiskers. Me and my siblings (including Shane, pictured at bottom) were bottlefed by our wonderful foster mom. I’m very inquisitive, energetic and quite photogenic, don’t you think? I love people, especially if I can sit in your lap and get lots of chin scratches. With my good nature, I should easily fit right in with my new family. Please consider adopting me with one of my kitten siblings. Their names are Shane, Deena and Watson. ◄I’m Purrina, a petite, 6-month-old girl with the most beautiful black and white markings, and I am just the sweetest little thing! I was rescued from under a shed in Leland, but you would never know I had such a rough start as I just love life and get along with everyone! I’m a sweet-natured cat and I purr a lot when petted. I’m spayed, vaccinated, litterbox-trained and all my little kitty bags are packed. Take me home with you and let’s begin our happy life together! ►Hello! My name is Mia and I’m a 1½-year-old brown Tabby girl with the fluffiest tail ever. I am a sweet mom to six beautiful kittens. Yes, SIX! I’ve raised them all and they are well on the way to finding their forever homes. Therefore, I am now ready for some pampering myself! I don’t need quite as much attention as my babies and I don’t get into nearly as much trouble, but I’m still quite playful and I enjoy my pile of fluffy toys. I’m a gentle soul with a big purr who only needs someone to love, a welcoming lap and I’ll be the happiest cat. I’m also spayed, vaccinated and litterbox-trained. Please adopt me and give me a second chance at a great new life!
We’re at Petsmart 7 days a week.
◄Hello there! We are two sisters named Annabelle and Isabelle and we are gorgeous 5-month-old Calico kittens who are eagerly awaiting the perfect family to come along to take us home. We two beautiful babies are the sweetest pair. We are a little shy but we do love to be held when we are not scurrying around pouncing on toy mice. Both of us are spayed, up to date on vaccinations and litterbox-trained. If you’d like to meet two adorable, precious fluffballs, please hurry over to visit! We are growing up fast and are very bonded, therefore we must be adopted as a pair. See you soon!
►Hi there! My name is Shane. I’m a 7-month old, black and white tuxedo boy who looks as if I’ve poked my little face into some soot. I’m the sweetest little guy who was bottle fed as a tiny baby along with my kitten siblings by our wonderful foster mom. Like my brother Sherlock, who is also pictured on this page, I’m very easy-going and just simply curious about everything. I love people, my kitten siblings, small brightly colored balls with bells in them and rolls of paper towels. Please consider adopting me along with one of my siblings (Sherlock, Deena or Watson).

I’m Sinatra, a handsome boy who will melt your heart with my beautiful blue eyes. I will also serenade you good morning, good afternoon, and goodnight! I lived the inside life for 6-years until one day my family suddenly moved. I was found by one of the employees here and she kept me in her garage over the holidays and during those cold nights. She brought me to work to make sure I was healthy, and the wonderful doctors here at College Road Animal Hospital took great care of me. All I want is love, snuggles, and a place to call home! I am current on vaccinations, already neutered, and I tested negative for FeLV/ FIV. I recently had a dental cleaning where I had to have quite a few unhealthy teeth pulled. I may only have a few teeth remaining, but I still eat just fine. If you or someone you know is interested in adopting me, please submit an adoption application directly online at www.collegeroadanimalhospital.com/adoption-application, or give our office a call at 910-395-6555 to learn more. I am sponsored by College Road Animal Hospital.

Hello world, my name is Mr. Guinness Pittyful (you can just call me Guinness) and I'm looking for that special someone to start my new life with. I love everyone and everything; people of all sizes, dogs, cats, etc. I'm a superhappy guy who just wants to be around people. I love when they give me hugs, pet me, lay next to me and just hang around with me. I do like going for short walks, but I don't do long distances. I was hit by a car last summer and have fully recovered, but too much walking is a bit tough on me. I don't like being left alone and will cry when you leave so a home where noise isn't a problem is best. I also need to be in a crate when you aren't around. If you work from home or spend a lot of time around the house, I'd be more than happy to keep you company. Did I mention how much I love being around people? Do you think I might be a good fit for you? For an explanation of our adoption process, application, and fees, visit mpbf.org, email email@example.com or call Merit Pit Bull Foundation at 336-618-PITT. I am sponsored by Top Toad in the Cotton Exchange in Downtown Wilmington, NC. Thank you!
Cat Tails Please call 910-253-1375 to adopt us! ►Haven’t you always wanted a cat without a tail? We tail-free cats are so cute, especially when we run because we look like bunny rabbits! I’m Evelyn and I’m a 3-year-old Tabby with no tail at all. The people at Cat Tails are taking care of me because my special person is in hospice care. Now, I need a new special person and I’m hoping it might be you.
►I’m Geronimo. I may be named after a fierce Indian leader but that’s not my personality! I’m sweet and friendly and I get along well with all the other cats. I haven’t been around dogs or kids much but I think I’d like them, too. I’m already 11-monthsold and haven’t been adopted yet. Do you think it’s the name that scares people? If you would let me join your family, you could change my name and we could all be happy.
◄I’m Lulu and I’m an 11-monthold Tabby girl. You know what’s unusual about me? I have the M on my forehead like all Tabbies do, but most of me is covered with spots! Really, look at my picture. You can see them, can’t you? Most Tabbies have stripes and some have swirls, but not many have spots. If you come to meet me, you can see them for yourself.
►Not all of the world thinks black cats are bad luck. Lots of countries think they are good luck. In some places, black cats are given as wedding gifts to bring good fortune to the new couple. I think I could bring you lots of happiness if you adopted me. I’m Nori, a 7-monthold girl who is sweet and gentle and very well-behaved. Wouldn’t you like to have a little, fuzzy ball of good fortune?
◄Well, hello Dolly! You could sing that to me every day if you adopt me. I’m a beautiful, 1-year-old Torti girl. I’ll meet you at the door when you come in and you can sing! Then we can sit on the couch and cuddle and watch old movies, like “Hello, Dolly”. I am already spayed and fully vaccinated so I’m ready to go home with you today.

◄A tonic is a medicinal substance taken to give a feeling of vigor or well-being. In other words, a restorative, a refresher, a pick-meup. Or, it could be a really great, 11month-old, mediumhaired, orange cat like me! My name is Tonic and if you take me home, it would definitely make you and me feel euphoric!

My name is Bronson and I’m a handsome little guy who came to College Road Animal Hospital after wandering along the side of a busy road. My rescuer quickly scooped me up for fear that something terrible could happen. I quickly won the hearts of all the staff with my sweet demeanor and playful personality. I absolutely love attention, and I sure do get a lot of it from the ladies here. I have a lot of energy and would do best in a home where I get plenty of exercise. I’m looking forward to meeting my furrever family, and dreaming of days full of playing, and nights filled with sweet snuggles. I am about 5-months-old, current on all vaccinations, already been neutered, and current on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. If you or someone you know is interested in adopting, feel free to submit an adoption application directly online at www.collegeroadanimalhospital.com/clinic-info-forms, or contact our office for more info at 910-395-6555. I am sponsored by College Road Animal Hospital.
Hi, my name is Scout (37603052) and I’m a handsome, 3-year-old, neutered male who came to the shelter when my owner was no longer able to care for me. It was through no fault of mine and my brother Tigger. Now that Tigger has been adopted, I am wondering when my second chance at happiness will come. I’m a calm and wellbehaved boy. I give the best nuzzles, do well with other cats and seem tolerant of dogs as well. If you are looking for a more mature and settled cat to complete your family, I may be the boy for you. I’m at Onslow County Animal Services, located at 244 Georgetown Road in Jacksonville. For more information, please call the adoption desk at 910-937-1164 or 910-455-0182. You may also visit us at www.onslowcountync.gov/animalservices. I am sponsored in honor of all the cats who are waiting for homes at the shelter.

Visit me and let’s get acquainted!
▲I’m a sweetheart named Brownie and I’d love to be your girl! At just 2-years-old, I’m a spayed, vaccinated and microchipped Shepherd mix who already knows basic commands and I’m eager to please. We’ll have such fun playing in our fenced-in back yard, then snuggling inside!

▲Do you happen to have any empty cat beds at your house that need filling? Well, as you can see, I’m up for the job! My name is Tiny Tim and I’m a 14-month-old neutered boy who is vaccinated and microchipped. I’m friendly, attentive and I’d love to be your best friend! ►Small Dog Alert! My name is Lucy and I’m a 4-year-old spayed Chihuahua/ Dachshund mix girl. Sadly, my owner died, so I’ve lost my quiet, secure home. I seem resilient, though, and I’m friendly to the shelter staff as well as visitors. I love attention and to be petted and held. I would do best in a home with no small children or young dogs. What do you think, are we a good match?
►Hi there! I’m Kai, a 1-year-old neutered boy who loves to run and play in a fenced-in yard. I am learning basic commands, and I walk wonderfully on a leash. I have a beautiful, shiny coat and I currently weigh about 58 pounds. If you’re ready for a friendly, affectionate and fun fellow to enter your life, call me today!

My name is Magic, and I have special powers. You see, when someone enters the room, they instantly suck in their breath and say, “Wow, what a gorgeous cat!” It happens every time. Their next impulse is to rub me. And I love that! My motor starts purring as soon as anyone comes near. I’m just 1-year-old, neutered, vaccinated and litterbox-trained. Call Pender Humane Society at 910-2597022 and tell them you’re under my spell and on your way to meet me! Sponsored in loving memory of Roxy.

Onslow County Animal Services Call 910-937-1164 or 910-455-0182 or email email@example.com to adopt! ►I’m a 3-year-old boy named Dexter (37630534). I may look a little intimidating, but I am 75 pounds of pure love. I’m a big, active boy who is all mush when it comes to my people – I love affection and attention. I am a smart boy who is housetrained. I know sit, down, and paw commands and I adore a game of fetch. I am prone to get excited at playtime (and need a patient family who will follow through with helping me with my manners). I will sit very politely for my toys and treats when prompted. I need a home with a big yard where I can get plenty of exercise and an active family who will be able to spend lots of quality time with me. I am great with children, but require a home without cats, as they are too much temptation for chasing. I am an all-around fantastic dog and would love a family to share this life with. ◄My name is Juliet (37732319) and I’m a big, gorgeous Hound girl. As Hounds are prone to be, I’m 65 pounds of ears and snoot! I love to run and am looking for a home with a big fenced yard where I can stretch my paws and follow my nose. I would do best in a home with canine companions – Hounds love to be part of a pack. If you adore the sound of a good Aroo, the sight of a happy Hound smile and can appreciate the nonstop curiosity of a Hound nose, I’m the pup for you! ►My name is Aria (37298739) and I’m a 2-year-old girl who hasn’t had the best luck with humans in my young life. I was first surrendered to the shelter when my owners could no longer care for me. Then my second family returned me when they turned out to be allergic. I’m a sweet girl who has received nothing but praise from my people. I am great with dogs (small and large), I’m gentle with children and I’m accepting of cats, too. I love to play soccer and tug of war, and I’m a very clever girl. I know sit, down and speak commands and am very eager to please people. I am a wonderful, young, active dog in search of a family who can give me a forever home. If you are looking for an intelligent, playful pup and can provide a forever home, it’s time we meet.
244 Georgetown Rd., Jacksonville, NC
◄You’d be hard-pressed to find a dog who loves to be outside with his people more than me. My name is Jamison (37511730) and for a dog who loves to run in the sun and be surrounded by people, the kennels can be a tough place. I’m starting to feel a little down and depressed. When I do get a chance to meet a family, I get so excited that I can seem a bit TOO wiggly and active, but I’m just so happy to have people to love. I have never been taught manners, but I just need a little time and patience and I will be a fine and loyal companion. I LOVE other dogs, every human I meet and a good run. A home with a large fenced yard, an active family with plenty of time for play and a canine pack for me to join would be the perfect place. If you are looking for an active and affectionate young boy, please give me a chance. ►I’m Picasso (37594040) and it’s been more than a month since I came to the shelter. I’m a lovebug and the employees don’t know how such an affectionate boy like me has been overlooked for so long. I love to “talk” to folks, I’m always at my cage door waiting for a scratch between the ears and I absolutely love to be loved. At just 1-year-old, I would be an ideal addition to any family looking for a playful and loving feline companion. ►I’m Lucy (37764183) and the shelter is no place for a 10-month-old pup. I deserve a home where I can grow and love. I’m as sweet as can be! I am house-trained, good with children and cats, and am very playful and curious with other pups. If you are looking for a wonderful young canine companion, look no further. I’m a Pit Bull mix pup and due to breed restrictions, the shelter will require you to provide a lease/permission from your landlord to adopt. It’s all just safety measures to make sure that I’m going to a home where I am welcome. If you are looking for a fun and feisty pup, give me a try.

Visit our website at www.adtc.us Hello, my name is Betty! I’ve suffered a tragic life involved in a fighting ring but now I’m part of CARE and I’m getting the love and attention that I deserve. Along with my physical scars I have heartworms and intestinal parasites. I am super-sweet and very outgoing. My tail never stops wagging! My friends at CARE are thrilled to help me; I would not have survived otherwise! I am approximately 5-years-old and still undergoing medical treatment with CARE. I came here via a county shelter that found me as a stray. Because I was out on my own for a while, I had the usual parasites and was severely underweight. But all of that has improved and I am looking forward to a real home. I’m a sweet girl who will need the patience of a loving family to show me how to be an inside dog. If you think that is you, come on out and ask for me.
◄Gino here. Don’t you just love my “puppy sit” pose? That’s because I’m only 5-months-old. I still have some growing and learning to do. Obviously, I am an adorable Pit Bull mix boy who would love to have a family of my very own. I’m so friendly and I’m eager to please. They tell me I’m a fast learner. Won’t you adopt me and be my loving teacher? ►My name is Mocha and I’m a 2-year-old, spayed female Beagle mix. People always comment about my beautiful eyes. I came here via a county shelter. My vaccinations are all up to date, I’m heartworm negative and I’m even microchipped! I love to play with other dogs. If you have a fenced-in back yard that would be awesome! Come on over and meet me, especially if you’re a Beagle person. Maybe we will be a match made in heaven!
▲I’m Charlie, a Retriever mix about 1½-years-old. I’m quiet and reserved. I enjoy the company of other dogs, but am shy around people. They say I am quite athletic and that maybe I would do well with agility. I’m also vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Come meet me! ◄I’m 13-years-old and my name is Holly. I never imagined that I would find myself at a dog shelter at this stage of my life. I was rescued once before many years ago by a kind, loving woman. She is now in poor health and can no longer take care of me and asked Paws Place to help me find a new home. So here I am – a senior Beagle mix without a home. I didn’t get a lot of exercise before, but I am quite spry and love to go on walks. Do you need a walking partner to help you keep your New Year’s resolution to get more exercise? I may be your girl. Let’s find out!
◄Hello there, I’m Tyson! Even though I am an owner surrender, I wasn’t with those owners very long. You see, they rescued me from a bad situation knowing they couldn’t keep me, so here I am. I’m a little scared when I first meet you, but then I warm up and love to have my wiggle-butt scratched. I’m a smart boy and I will be very devoted. I am also vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. I’m 6-years-young, almost 80 pounds and they believe I’m a Boxer/Anatolian Shepherd mix. It would be so wonderful to have a big fenced-in back yard where I can run and play with a family. If that is you, come to meet me!

I’m motivated by food, so my new family or rescuer can use that to help me adjust to my new life! ►They tell me I am the BEST girl! My name is Hilary (A027707) and I’m a perfectly sized 40 pound darling. At 7-years of age, I am extremely loving, I love to play ball and I get along with everyone! I’m just a great little dog! You see, I’ve been at the shelter for 69 days while waiting for a cruelty case against my owner to be resolved. Now that it’s over, I’m free to find a new home and a new life! I’m just a goofy love-bug who will do anything for food! I have a little food-aggression toward males, but I seem to get along just fine with girl dogs. You have seen me, Hank, before. This May I will be 2-years-old. They say I’m a handsome Yellow Lab mix. I came to Paws Place via the county shelter back in June. I’ve been seeing other dogs come and go, but I’m still here. I’m a very smart dog who is still learning. I REALLY want people to pay attention to me. I’m a high-energy boy. A great big fenced-in yard would be wonderful because I love to run and play. They think I may even be a good water dog! What do you say - stop by and I will be watching for you. If you need driving directions or have questions about the adoption process, please call Paws Place at 910-845-7297. I am sponsored in honor of all the people who lovingly care for the dogs at Paws Place.

At 2-years-old, I weigh a mere 30 pounds and am house-trained and spayed! I’m a Staffordshire Terrier mix with the cutest little nubbin tail and I’m learning how to sit and stay. I’m not fond of cats or other small animals, but I have lots of energy and would love to be part of an active family!
►Do you like toys as much as I do? As you can see from my photo, I keep myself entertained very well. I’ll keep you entertained, too, with my playful ways! My name is Zack and I’m a sweet 5-month-old boy who is happy, friendly, cuddly and highly kissable. I’m having a great time with my other kitten friend in the playroom, but I’m so ready to be part of a family. I love to be held, too!
►Hello there! My name is Nelly and I’m a 3-year-old Pit mix girl. As you can see, I sit quickly on command and I’ll even tilt my head for extra cuteness. I’m also very friendly and loving and I just adore people, whether I’ve known you for awhile or just a few moments. I have a lot of personality and I do like to talk to you, especially if you are not paying attention to me! I’m spayed, up to date on vaccines and on heartworm prevention. I’d love to go home with you! ◄If a gentle soul with the sweetest brown eyes is who you’d like to wake up to every morning, please come meet me! My name is Tabitha and I’m a 5-year-old Walker Hound girl who is already house-trained (yay) and affectionate as I can be. I was found as a stray with my five puppies, all of whom have found loving homes. I’m spayed, vaccinated and ready to be your loving baby! Hurry to the shelter and let’s have some one-on-one time. You bring the treats!

◄My name is Popcorn and I’m a heart-meltingly beautiful puppy boy! At just 12weeks of age, I’m a precious fellow with a laid-back and friendly personality. I was timid when I first arrived, but I’ve come out of my shell and am enjoying all the body rubs and sweet words I get from my friends. I’d love to be part of your family - would you like that, too? Come on over, fill out the paperwork and let’s get started!

My name is Tom and I’m a Chihuahua mix. I was born March 7, 2012 and weigh 8 pounds. I was an owner surrender to a shelter. I am good with dogs but I’m not sure how I’d be around cats. I am house-trained but have the occasional accident but only when I’m not let out enough. I am shy and wary of strangers. I like kids but I’m scared to death of most men so I will need a women-only home. I can be a door dasher and I’m looking for an experienced adopter. I am neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative and on prevention. I’ve even had a dental. To adopt me, please call Carla at 336-8130800, email Chihuahua Rescue and Transport Southeast at email@example.com, or visit us at www.chihuahua-rescue.com. I am sponsored by Top Toad in the Cotton Exchange in Downtown Wilmington, NC. Thank you!

R.A.C.E. (Rescue Animals Community Effort) Please call 910-579-0407 to adopt us! ►Hi, my name is Midge and I don't really know how old I am. The vet thinks somewhere between 2 and 5-years-old. I am a Chihuahua mix and I weigh about 7 pounds. I am heartworm positive but I’m undergoing treatment for it. I won't be available until about March 24th. I love to snuggle and my foster is helping me "come out of my shell". Not sure what that means, but I guess we'll find out over the next 6-weeks or so. If you want to meet me, please fill out an application on our website at www.raceshelter.org/forms-and-resources. ►Hi, my name is Pappy and I'm 2 to 3-years-old. I am a Chihuahua mix and I weigh about 7 pounds. I am heartworm negative, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations and I had a clean fecal. I am being fostered in a house with several dogs (small and large) and a few cats, too. I do pretty good with them now, but really wasn't sure when I first met them. I like smaller dogs better than bigger ones, but if given time, I can warm up to the big ones, too. To meet me, fill out an application on our website at www.raceshelter.org/forms-and-resources. ►My name is Georgia Girl and I'm a 5 to 6-year-old, 16.6 pound Shih Tzu and Lhasa Apso mix. I am heartworm negative, spayed and microchipped. I do have an ear infection that R.A.C.E. is treating and I'll be getting a dental and my other vaccinations at that time. Because of my ear infection, I don't feel the best, so I'm not showing my "true self," according to my foster mom. They keep telling me that once I feel better, I'll "come out of my shell". I do like to snuggle and am good for grooming. If you want to meet me, please fill out an application on our website at www.raceshelter.org//forms-and-resources
►Hi, my name is Nick and I'm around 2 to 3-years-old. I am a Plott Hound mix and I weigh about 50 pounds. I am neutered, I’m up to date on all my vaccinations and I’m heartworm negative. I am very "chill" and I like everyone I meet - men, women, kids, cats and other dogs of any size. I was told that I was the best behaved dog at the recent adoption fair. I love being on laps and giving kisses to everyone I meet. If I'm asked, I'll softly jump up to reach you and give kisses. All the R.A.C.E. volunteers think I'm fabulous! If you want to meet me, fill out an application on our website at www.raceshelter.org/forms-and-resources. ◄Hi, my name is Mikey and I'm between 2 and 5-yearsold. I'm a 12 pound Yorkie/ Silky mix. I am heartworm negative, neutered, microchipped and up to date on my vaccinations. I have a skin infection that is being treated. I am a friendly little guy and like most people I meet, but I'm not sure about some men. I LOVE all other dogs, but I also like to mount them, which my foster mom tells me I shouldn't do - but I just can't help myself. I met little Pappy at the adoption fair a few days ago and he and I played and played. I like dogs my size or smaller best, but I don't mind big dogs either. I like the cats in my foster home, too. I like to snuggle with my foster mom and dad. I don't like having my nails trimmed, so my foster mom says you should get me professionally groomed every couple of months. If you want to meet me, please fill out an application on our website at www.raceshelter.org/forms-and-resources

URGENT, URGENT! My Time Is Running Out! I’m Honey Bear (A011549) and I’m ready for a new life! You see, I’ve been at the shelter for 69 days while my owner was charged with cruelty for keeping me and my other doggie friends in very bad living conditions. Finally, after a conviction, we are now free to find loving homes! I’m a 40 pound boy, 16-years-old, and yellow in color. I lived most of my life chained outside and now just want some love and comfort for my remaining years. I LOVE butt scratches and treats and I’m friendly to all the humans I’ve met. When it comes to dogs, I say ladies only, please. I take medicine for arthritis and could stand to put on a little weight, but other than that I’m ready to go! Please hurry over to meet me. You see, dogs arrive at the shelter every day and there’s just not enough room for us all. The shelter is open 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday, Noon to 4pm on Saturday and 1pm to 4pm on Sundays. For driving directions or more info, call Pender County Animal Shelter at 910-259-1484 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. I am sponsored by Cindy Meyers in loving memory of Harley and Murphy.
Oh boy, are you ready to have some fun with me? My name is Dunkin and I’m one of the sweetest, friendliest kittens around! I’m just 5-months-old and a lover of all people. I’ll be a perfect family companion because I all I really want is for someone to hold me and pet me. You won’t find me hiding under the bed, no sir, I want to be with my people! I was found in a field as a kitten and that’s just no place for a darling like me. A home is where I belong! I’m neutered, vaccinated and litterbox-trained, so all you need to do is come get me. Call Pender Humane Society at 910-259-7022 and let’s begin our happy life together! Sponsored by Your Friends at Pender Humane Society’s Furry Friend's Re-sale Shop. We Care!!
SOAR (Southport Oak Island Animal Rescue) Please call 910-457-6340 to adopt us! ◄It looks like I have been covered with leprechaun kisses! I am Billie Bob and hopefully I’ll soon be getting kisses in my new furever home! I have a bobbed tail, am 1½-yearsold and, even though I’m growing up, I still have some playful kitten in me! I even get along well with other cats. Please hurry before that silly leprechaun comes back again and wants more kisses! See you soon!!! ◄Miss Daisy here, joining the SOAR gang after a short stay with Animal Protective Services. I am a sleek and mannerly Labrador Retriever/Pointer mix girl weighing in at about 40 pounds. I’m up to date on shots and, by the time you are finding out about me here, I will have been spayed. How about those eyes and that rich black and chestnut brown coat? You must see me for yourself! ►You’re the one that I want! I’m Zuko, a 40 to 45 pound Golden Retriever/ Chow-Chow mix. My favorite things to do are being everybody’s pal and doing good things in exchange for treats. I have already been introduced to some of these SOAR yard cats and they are okay with me. Next up is some agility work and some play time with the other dogs, but I can always make some time for a visit from you. If you adopt me, we may not fly off in a red convertible like my namesake Danny Zuko from the movie ‘Grease’, but we’ll come up with our own very happy ending, just you wait and see!
▲I'm Inky - your future Lucky Charm - and all the volunteers at SOAR are in LUV with me! They are always carrying me around (I like to be held!) and letting me sit in their lap! I am 1½-years-old and am FIV positive - but don't let that worry you! It's NOT contagious to humans or dogs - just to other cats - so I would have to be your only cat and I would need to live inside. Other than that - no big deal! So if you want a sweet, affectionate, warmhearted, friendly good luck charm - look no further than at the end of the SOAR rainbow!
▲Golden Retriever alert! Hi, my name is Logan and I’m a very sweet boy who came to SOAR from Brunswick County Animal Protective Services. I am about 50 pounds, neutered, current on vaccinations, and very easy to deal with. My laid-back nature will be a real asset as I must stay pretty quiet while I complete my heartworm treatment. Then I’ll be good to go. In the meantime, slow walks and socializing are just dandy with me. What about you?

How did I end up back at the shelter? I’m a wonderful family cat! My name is Chloe and I was adopted from Pender Humane Society back in January 2017, when I was just 6-weeks-old. Life was great until a new person entered the household who was allergic to cats. Now I’m here instead of at home. I really want someone to love and pet me and I’m a little perplexed by these strange folks; nevertheless, I am friendly and loving to all I meet and I play and chase the mop when they clean. I’m also spayed, vaccinated and litterbox-trained. If you’d like a beautiful, healthy, happy Tabby girl to be part of your family, call Pender Humane Society at 910-259-7022 and tell them you’re comin’! Sponsored in memory of Milo, the big black dog who stole our hearts! Mommy and Daddy miss you every day! My name is Snowy, and I am pleased to make your acquaintance! I am a 5-yearold female Hound mix who is exceedingly loving, outgoing, friendly, and just an all-around great dog! I will need a special home, though, since I am blind. That doesn’t stop me from living life; I just need a little extra help at Photo by Michael Cline Photography times. I am being specially trained by my inmate trainer as a part of the Pawsitive Partners Prison Program under the supervision of Monty’s Homes volunteers. My trainer is teaching me all kinds of signals and sounds to help me get around much easier. For example, I hear my “clicker” sound and I come to it. I get tapped on the shoulder when there are stairs coming up. I also can go to my bed and lay down when signaled. I am crate-trained, and my crate goes to my new home with me! You will be amazed by how smart I am! Would you like to be my seeing eye person? I will be a great companion in a quiet home. Monty’s Home volunteers will help you learn everything I know before I join your family. I promise you won’t be sorry. Call Laurie at 703864-5754 or email email@example.com. You can also fill out an adoption application at www.montyshome.org. (I also have my own Facebook page called Snowy of Monty’s Home which you can visit, like, and share!) Thanks to Bear Ritter, a Monty’s Home alumni, and his sister Sadie for sponsoring me.

Hello, I'm Tinkerbell and I’m new to Adopt-AnANGEL. I am a little 10pound dog who was overlooked at the animal shelter for several months. I came in with 9 other dogs who have all been adopted - so that means I’m really good with other dogs. I am 6-years-old and I could be a Chinese Crested and Chihuahua mix. I am absolutely unbelievably sweet. And just look at my soulful eyes. Please come see me at Petco on weekends. For more info, call 910-392-0557 or visit www.adoptanangel.net.
My name's Idaho, but maybe it should be, "Where'd My Eye-da Go?!" If you can believe it, I'm even dorkier than that joke! By the time my rescue moms saved me, it was a bit too late for my eye. Don't worry, though! I don't need it to be as healthy as can be. I'm fully vetted, 1½years-old, and just about the most handsome shade of creamy, sandy ginger you'll ever see. I'm an ultra sweet and silly boy who just wants a forever home with someone who loves to play and cuddle as much as I do. If you've got YOUR eye set on me, call 910-617-6290 or 704-682-2529 so I can show you why I'm named after the HEARTland!
Hi everyone! My name is Gucci! I am a drop dead gorgeous, super-sweet and totally friendly girl! I am awesome with other animals and I love people so much. I make biscuits and I am a total lap cat! Please call my foster mom, Jackie, at 910-523-9719 if you would like to adopt the perfect little Calico kitty. For more information, please give us a call 910-392-0557 or visit www.adoptanangel.net.
Hi, I’m Danny! I’m an older gentleman at 12-years-old but I really want a family of my own! I came into my foster home in really bad shape but I’m doing better now. I do still need to possibly have my eyes removed, since they are painful, but once I have this surgery completed, I’ll be ready for a forever home! I would do best in a home with mature humans who understand my needs and are willing to work with me. Would you be willing to let me join your family? If so, please contact RescueConnect at 910-302-7290 today!
My name's Nevada, but you can call me Nevvy! I'm a little over 1-year-old, and ready to spend the rest of my life with a forever family. I can be a little shy sometimes, but don't let that fool you! I'm anything but demure. As soon as you give me some love you'll get to see the real me: feisty, funny, chatty and sweet as can be. I promise you won't be disappointed! My rescue moms say I've got a TON of personality. My ideal day would be spent playing with you until I'm all tuckered out and then settling down for an evening of snuggles. I just love to be loved. If that's your idea of the perfect day, call 910-617-6290 or 704-682-2529.

Hi! I’m Roma. My world changed suddenly when my owner couldn’t keep me anymore. I’m just shy of my first birthday and not that big – less than 40 pounds! I was so excited to receive this stuffed animal I’m pictured with as a gift from a young lady. I really enjoyed playing with it while at a Meet & Greet. People at the kennel describe me as super-sweet and a little shy. In other words, it may take me a few minutes to warm up to you. (Hint – I like treats!). So, if you are looking for a mildmannered young Hound mix girl who has inside manners and is nearly house-trained, that may just be me! For driving directions or more information, please call Paws Place at 910-845-7297. I am sponsored in loving memory of Grace Harrington.
URGENT, URGENT! My Time Is Running Out! Life hasn’t been very kind to me, but I’m hoping things will change very soon! My name is Moto (A027703) and I’ve been living at the shelter for 69 days while my owner was charged with cruelty. It all began when I went missing and was found by Animal Control in my owner’s yard, nearly drowned in an open septic tank! I was rushed to the hospital, emaciated and too weak to even stand. I’ve miraculously rebounded and am ready to start a new life, now that my owner has been convicted. At 15-yearsold, I’m a 40 pound fellow who has pep in my step and I’m definitely resilient! I just LOVE to see the treats coming, and I adore getting attention! If my strength of spirit has moved you and you’d like to change my life for the better, please hurry over to meet me. You see, dogs arrive at the shelter every day and there’s just not enough room for us all. The shelter is open 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday, Noon to 4pm on Saturday and 1pm to 4pm on Sundays. Call Pender County Animal Shelter at 910-259-1484 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. I am sponsored in loving memory of Levi D. Please consider adopting.

Breed Rescues We are all from different Breed Rescues. Please read our stories! GREAT DANE FRIENDS OF RUFF LOVE I’m Cupcake, a 3-year-old female who was found as a stray. I am a little timid in making new friends, but really I love attention from people who I’m familiar with. I am very playful and know “Sit”, “Down”, and “Stay.” I’ve never been around cats, but I like to play with almost any other dog. I bond very quickly and closely with my humans and I just want to protect them! I am crate-trained, up to date on all vaccines, and heartworm negative. For an adoption application, email email@example.com or call 704-584-9257. You can also check out some of our other Great Danes available for adoption at www.greatdanefriends.com.
CAROLINA BOXER RESCUE Hi, my name is Red because of my unique fur color. I am a 6-year-old male who is good with dogs, cats and kids. I’m a small Boxer. I love attention and being close to my people. I also love to play outside with my fur sister. She is also a Boxer. I’m not fond of loud noises, but I am getting better about it. Please contact Carolina Boxer Rescue if you would like to learn more about me. Call 910-799-5638 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to adopt me. Please visit www.carolinaboxerrescue.org for more information on adopting or fostering.
CAROLINA BASSET HOUND RESCUE My name is Elvis and I am a happy-go-lucky guy! I am 11-years young, crate-trained, house-trained and my ears perk up every time I hear my name! I love to take walks with my foster mom any time she will go and I would even like to run with someone who jogs! I am a very spunky Basset Hound! I LOVE humans and I will immediately roll over for a belly rub any chance I can get! If you are looking for a low-key Basset Hound who can be a couch potato when you want to relax but also play and go for walks - I’m your guy! If you are interested in meeting me or hearing more, contact my foster mom, Leslie, at 910-352-5150 visit www.cbhr.com.
CHIHUAHUA RESCUE & TRANSPORT - SOUTHEAST My name is Princess and I’m a female Chihuahua mix. I am 8-yearsold and weigh 8 pounds. I was rescued from Tarboro NC after I was dumped by my owner at the shelter. I am very, very sweet, I get along with the other dogs in my foster home and when I get excited, I’ll talk to you. I am spayed, up to date on shots and on heartworm preventative. To adopt me, please email email@example.com, call Carla at 336-813-0800, or visit us at www.chihuahua-rescue.com.
MERIT PIT BULL FOUNDATION
SCHNAUZER RESCUE OF THE CAROLINAS
My name is Wallace and I am a sweet and snuggly boy who is becoming less and less scared of things and people each day. I have the cutest pink nose and the softest little chin. If you aren’t giving me enough love or belly rubs, I’ll start talking to you like Chewbacca. I love playing with other dogs more than anything in the whole world! I love treats and have been known to wag my tail in my sleep. My former life wasn’t the easiest, so I’m warming up to the idea of being on a leash. For an explanation of our adoption process, application, and fees, please visit mpbf.org, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 336-618-PITT.
I’m Nicco, a black and white Mini-Schnauzer, just 11 pounds. I’m located in Wilmington, NC and ready for adoption! I’m a sweet little senior boy who loves to be cuddled. I’m house-trained and working on my leash-walking. I’m neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention. Plus, I received a dental and microchip! I will flourish with another dog in my new family to help my confidence level; however, I do prefer human company. To adopt me, visit www.schnauzerrescueofthecarolinas.org. You can also email email@example.com or call 919-723-7145 for an application. P.S. Mention this PawPrints ad for a $30 discount on my adoption donation!

I am very loving and friendly and I’m ready to make your family complete! Please call my friends at 910-256-2624 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info or to submit an application for my adoption.
Hey, hey, hey everyone!! My name is Casey (A102592) and I am a Black and Tan Hound mix girl, a youngster at just 9-months of age. I am considered medium in size for my breed and my shelter friends think that I am the most humble pup you have ever met. And here’s some more good news: I’m already spayed and my adoption fee includes a physical examination, heartworm test and rabies vaccination. Isn’t that a great deal? So hurry on over and let’s get acquainted. For driving directions or more information, please call Brunswick County Sheriff’s Animal Protective Services at 910-754-8204.
