Want a sure-fire way to have a happier New Year? Adopt me and my brother! We’re a precious kitten pair who will bring much love to your heart and home. That’s me, Cider, on top, and pictured below is me (front) with my brother Milky. We look a lot alike, but he has a poufy, fluffy tail. We are incredibly affectionate boys and our purrs can be heard across the room! My right front leg had to be amputated when I was rescued because it was injured beyond repair, but missing one leg has not stopped me in the least! I love to run, jump, play and wrestle with my brother. I also enjoy sitting in laps and being petted. Milky can be cautious at first, but he bonds quickly with humans and he loves to get pets and tummy rubs. We’re neutered, vaccinated, litterbox-trained and ready to go! To meet us, please call/text our Cat Adoption Team foster mom at 910-599-2755 or come to our adoption event held every Saturday from Noon to 4pm at Unleashed in the Landfall Shopping Center in Wilmington. Thanks to Michael Cline Photography for my purrfectly handsome cover photo!

I am a beautiful adult male Tabby and I was named after the ancient African king, Ezana. I was rescued November 14th when I appeared out of nowhere at a feral colony in Holden Beach, NC. I am neutered, I just had my vaccinations and I received Revolution Plus to prevent fleas, ticks, worms, and ear mites. I love to be petted and play with people and cat toys. I also love belly rubs, by invitation only, of course! I must have had a family because I am friendly and get in a cat carrier easily. I am a healthy, young male who is not a picky eater. I will be an awesome pet. Please consider sharing your home with me by contacting my foster mother, Debra, at 804-814-2421 or emailing email@example.com. I am sponsored in loving memory of Susan Brown, Cat-Lover Furever.

We are two handsome brothers up for adoption through Cape Fear Rescue League and we must be adopted together. My name is Polar (short hair) and this is my brother, Benji (long hair). We are Chihuahua mixes who are between 2 to 4-years-old. We each weigh about 15 pounds and we’ve already been neutered. We’re heartworm negative, current on vaccinations, and dewormed. We are even up to date on our heartworm and flea prevention. We do have some trust issues as we came from a place where people were not so nice to us. Our foster home has been working with us and helping us gain trust in humans again. We are comfortable in a chest harness again, we’re no longer cage aggressive, no longer food aggressive, and we’re learning how to play with toys. Our bond is extremely tight and we look for each other when separated. A home with other non-alpha dogs would be good with us, but we’re unsure about cats. If you would like to meet us or would like information on how to adopt, please send an email to Cape Fear Rescue League at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 910-207-2071. Our new home must have a fenced yard with no small kids and a vet reference is required. We are sponsored by The Tree House Gang at Saltscapes Landscaping. Thank you!
My name is Hope and this is my blue pet mouse, Trixie. It’s my favorite toy and I carry it all over the house. I am a 7-month-old solid black, short-haired kitten. I showed up in the carport of my foster mom's home in Holden Beach the morning after the election. She called me "a little bit of hope". My fur is so silky. I am very loving and the sweetest kitten you could ever "hope" to meet. I absolutely love wet food and get along with all the cats at my foster home. I like cat trees and can climb the ship’s ladder to the loft in my foster home. I am fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all of my vaccinations and flea control. I would love to find a home with someone or a family who is looking for a loving feline and a toy mouse named Trixie. If you would like to meet me, contact my foster mom, Debra, by calling 804-814-2421 or emailing email@example.com.
Wanted: Family or single-human household who wants to have a relationship with a friendly, reserved, sweet girl named Willow – that’s me! Requirements are: the desire to give lots of petting, rubs on the belly and treats for me being cute! I like to go on walks and am looking for a forever home where I can be treated like a lady and a cherished, beloved family member. My first five years weren’t the greatest and I just want to know that my future can be bright, and the best is yet to come! I will need to go through heartworm treatments and then I can be a healthy, happy dog in all that I do. Please come to Paws Place and let’s see if we can be pals. No appointment is necessary and we’re open Tuesday thru Saturday from 10am to 2pm. You can also call the shelter at 910-845-7297 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info. I will be waiting to see you walk over to meet me!
I am sponsored in loving memory of Susan Brown, Cat-Lover Furever.
I am sponsored in honor of all the people who lovingly care for the dogs at Paws Place.

Adoption Options We are all from different Animal Rescues. Please read our stories! JADED PAWS RESCUE My name is Bonzai and I’m a one-eyed goofball. I may be considered special needs but I don’t let that stop me - and I hope that won’t stop you from meeting me! I’m a big, lanky, oafish dog who loves to run around and play. I’m still very much a puppy! I’m neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, house-trained, and crate-trained. I need to go to a home with no other pets or children because I can be very pushy. For more information, please send an email to Sarah.firstname.lastname@example.org or call 203-400-0169. You may also visit us online at www.jadedpawsrescue.com. ♥ My name is Stormy and I’ve been homeless for far too long. My dream home includes no other animals, as I like to be the dominant one, and preferably no small children, as they tend to make me a little nervous - but I do just fine with older, respectful kids. I’m a mature dog and I like to be able to do my own thing. I love to go on walks and I’m crate-trained. I am spayed, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and heartworm negative. For information, please send an email to Sarah.email@example.com or call 203-400-0169. You may also visit us online at www.jadedpawsrescue.com. ♥ My name is Scrambles and I have been searching for a home and family to call my own since late 2014! Many overlook my dark-colored coat, passing up the opportunity to meet an absolutely wonderful little kitty. I am missing several teeth, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying a good meal. I’m spayed, FIV/FeLV negative, and fully vaccinated. I’m an independent kitty who loves to bask in the sunshine as it moves through the house. I’m also an avid bird watcher. Won't you give me a chance? For more info, please send an email to Sarah.firstname.lastname@example.org or call 203-400-0169. Visit us at www.jadedpawsrescue.com. ♥

FRIENDS OF FELINES
Hi, my name is Sandy but I prefer to be called Princess. I am 1-year-old and enjoy lap time, window watching and an occasional toy. I tolerate other animals, but do prefer being in a quiet home. When I first arrived in my foster home, I was timid but the longer I’m here, I’m less and less spooked by sudden movements or loud noises. I would be happiest as an only pet, even though I can peacefully cohabitate with other cats and calm dogs. I was found as a stray and have zero interest in going back outside again. I love men, I’m current on vaccinations, and I’m already spayed. Please call Friends of Felines at 919-710-3872 to arrange a meeting with my assistant. ♥
FUREVER FRIENDS ANIMAL RESCUE I’m Dwight, a 7-month-old, healthy, 5 pound, neutered male who is vaccinated and microchipped. I was found as a stray and was limping on my rear left leg - folks believe I was hit by a car. I had surgery and I’m healing extremely well. Just a couple more weeks of restricted activity, then I will be running and playing like nothing ever happened. I like other cats and all humans but I can be picky about dogs. I am a playful, easy-going, affectionate boy. To adopt me, call Sharon at 910-617-3760 or email email@example.com. ♥
PENDER ENDANGERED ANIMAL RESCUE (PEAR) Hi! I’m Honey, a young, apricotcolored, American Staffordshire Terrier girl! I am small in size and just want to be loved. I’m good with dogs and children and I may be a bit shy at first, but once I warm up I’m your devoted friend and companion. I’m spayed, vaccinated and ready to meet you! Call 910-512-8522 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and let’s arrange a get-together. ♥
Adoption Options We are all from different Animal Rescues. Please read our stories! THUNDERING PAWS PET ADOPTION
My name is Kirk. I’m a very sweet and loving boy with beautiful green eyes and stunning grey fur. I love to play with toys, then curl up in a ball on the bed or in your lap to catnap. I chase toys and come when you call me. I do not mind it when young children carry me around and I get along with large dogs, too. I was born in January 2015, I’m vaccinated and neutered, I tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV, and I’m on monthly flea prevention. Please call/text 910-224-6068, email email@example.com, or message us on our Thundering Paws Pet Adoption Center, Inc. Facebook page for info on how to meet me. ♥
I'm Snowball and I’m a big boy who is declawed and approximately 8-years-old. Up until this year, I had a family and a place to call home. Recently, I had a few bouts with urinary infections and distress. Once it was determined I needed a prescription urinary diet, my owner was not able to continue my care. I am normally a calm and quiet guy. I need a low-key home where I feel relaxed and not stressed by activity or aggressive animals. If you can help me with a few of my special needs, please fill out an application at www.rescueconnectnc.com or call 910-302-7290. ♥
My name is McD (pronounced like McDonalds, mac-dee) and I’m an 8-year-old, short-haired, neutered boy. I am vaccinated and tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV. I am an indoor cat on flea preventative. I eat C/D Science Diet wet and dry food. My owner recently had a baby who is severely allergic to cats and I must find a forever home. I am very loving, easy-going and friendly but need to be the only pet in the home. I am looking for a quiet environment and would make a great companion for a retired family who wants a cuddle buddy. I come with my toys, cat carrier with cushion, and my special cat blanket. Call 910-261-8793 or 910-224-6068 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for a meet and greet or to adopt me. ♥ My name is Minnie (mostly white face) and this is my brother, Jack. We are 7½-months-old and would like to be adopted together. If two perfect homes come along, we would be ok parting ways. I am a little shy but will warm up to you once I get to know you. Jack is a lap cat. We are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and on flea preventative. We are loving cats. Email email@example.com or call 910-224-6068 for a meet and greet or to adopt us. ♥
COASTAL ANIMAL RESCUE EFFORT (CARE) Hello, I’m Ludwig! I’ve been with CARE for 5-years now. I’m a little hard to love but once you get to know me I can be a sweet, spicy boy. I need a patient home where I can run around and have my free space to hide and be sneaky. Can you finally give me my forever home? Please call my friends Photo by Michael Cline Photography at 910-256-2624 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to submit an application for my adoption. ♥
OPERATION TOP CAT I’m Puffin, a 1½-year-old, female gray with white cat. I was a rescue who was pregnant with three babies. My kids have been adopted. I was a good mom and protective of my babies. I am friendly to people and like attention. I would do best as the only cat in the house or maybe with a non-dominant, quiet cat. I have not been around dogs and may do better with older kids. I’ve received all of my vet care and I’m spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and tested negative for FeLV/FIV. So, I am ready for a loving, inside home. Please call 910-200-0612 or email email@example.com. ♥

I love to play and run with my furry friends and am looking for a family of my own. My favorite pastime is to cuddle and give kisses! I would love a home with some other furry brothers or sisters for me to play with. As you can see, I would be a great helper as you work at your desk. I am vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and FeLV/FIV negative. If you’d like to meet me, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 910-256-2624. Carolina Boxer Rescue To adopt, please email email@example.com or call 910-799-5638! ◄Hi, I’m Toula! I’m definitely looking for a long term relationship, and monogamy’s my thing. They say I’m a real looker, but that doesn’t matter to me. What matters is quality time with you - squeaking, zooming, nuzzling and, if you let me on the bed, I’m more than happy to sleep on top of you. The thing is, I just love being around you and I love to snuggle. So even if you like sleeping without me on your head, I’d like to sleep against your leg, your foot…any contact I can get is acceptable. Especially after scary movies! I’m a Boxer unlike all others. I mean, yes, I drool, I zoom, I occasionally toot. Got all those Boxer traits! But I’m deep and pensive, and also super goofy. I’m part pot-belly pig, part rotisserie chicken - that’s what my foster friend calls me when I do my seamless 360s (i.e. rolling over in the sand, on the dirt, in the soft grass). I stay on my back a minute or two, belly stretched heavenward, and simply enjoy the sensations. Everyone laughs and laughs when I do my rotations! I’m an excellent sleeper and my foster parent laughs at me sometimes, especially when I’m in deep sleep mode. I guess I pull a spread eagle, all paws stretched out, on my back, and jowls spread in total relaxation. My nubbin tail is show length, they say, and awfully expressive. I say I’ll wag it for you, morning noon and night. It’s an extension of my mood, so watch it closely. When you come home from the store, I’ll do a twirl and a nub-nub-nub-nub-NUB!! Toula means ‘light’ in Greek (I looked it up) and I believe it because I really will light up your life. I need a little time to relax with new folks though. Everyone wants to pet pups, I know, but it takes a bit before I feel comfortable with new hands. I want to please, really I do; I just get confused sometimes. Ever heard of ‘Stranger Danger’? I think that’s what they call it. I don’t like to talk about my past, so please ask your pals and neighbors to be patient. I’ll love them soon enough, promise! I’ve always been an only pup. Can we keep it that way? I want your older kids’ and your attention all to myself. Your older kids will get me, I know it, but I think I’m too strong for the little guys. Oh, and I tend to lick people to death once we’re friends - so hopefully everyone’s good with that? Do you have a yard? Awesome! Are you home a lot? Do you like being around me as much as possible? Sweet! Are you ready to laugh, feel deeply, and snuggle until the rotisserie chickens sell out? See, told you I was goofy! Oh pretty please, let’s meet soon. I’m so very ready to be your one and only. ♥
◄Oh, to be a pocket Boxer. Hey wait, that’s me! It’s one good stroke of luck that life has thrown my way. Not like a ‘jeans-pocket’ kind of pup, but “just the right size” to accompany you wherever adventures take us! My foster family has made me a happy, safe, and loving little nest while I wait to meet you. I’d bark my gratitude, but honestly, I’m not much of a barker. I’m an outdoor enthusiast with a penchant for sunshine and napping. Whatever challenges I’ve overcome, whatever excitement finds me - I find time to nap. I’m also active and I like to walk, lick, or bond with my stuffed toys. My name is Delilah and I enjoy playing, running, hiking and learning new tricks from my longlegged, slightly less ‘slobbery’ caretakers. Sure, I’m only 2-years-old, but I’m mature for my age! Kind of an old soul, I’m told. I really want to meet you! I know we’ll find a happy medium between chasing slabs of sunshine and resting my floppy ears by your side in the late afternoon. ♥ ►They call me Bam Bam, as in here I come, here I am, there you are, here we go BAM! We fall madly in love. It’ll happen, I promise! I’m bouncy and fun and an excellent listener. The sound of your voice is my favorite song, and everything you say is fascinating. I’m a deep thinker, and a gentle chewer. Bring on the treats! Each one is savored and very much appreciated. Like a fine wine, slowly chewed treats - and me - get better with time. I’m athletic and love to run around. Got a fenced yard? A track, or some awesome trails? I’m happy to run in circles, too. Enough sleep, enough exercise, and more than enough love from me. All this could be yours. Logistics of being with me forever and ever: I’m house-trained, I’m crate-trained, and I love to be around you as much as possible. Working on separation anxiety because who would want to be separated from you? Happily, I’m a hard worker and knowing you’re there for me, forever and ever, helps me progress every day. I’m good on a leash, and I’m excellent on your bed, your overstuffed sofa, your legs, your stomach or your head? Honestly, wherever you’d like to snuggle works for me. I’m looking for a mentor and a friend, someone who’ll help me become the best Bam ever. I respond to guidance, structure, and belly rubs. And spooning and stuff. Bam here, reporting for duty! Thrilled to be forever by your side. Your everlovin’ Bam Bam. ♥

What if you could find a low-key, low-maintenance dog who might actually be your very own spirit animal? Look no further, because that describes me, Thorah! I’m a golden girl who has it all and I’m anxiously waiting to join your family! At 10-years of age, I’m a luv-a-bull girl whose only wish is a home with a soft bed to lay on, belly rubs and someone who is better at keeping track of my calorie intake than I am. I was abandoned by my family after 8-years because, in their words, “We don’t have time for her anymore." I’ve been confused and in low spirits ever since. I deserve to live out my golden years with a family who will cherish me, don’t you think? I am spayed, up to date on vetting and heartworm negative. I love people and kids but would do best as the only fur kid. I may be ok with a low-key, similar sized male dog. A meet and greet can be arranged for this. I am currently living in a boarding facility but I would love to be in a real home! If you are interested in being my miracle through adoption or fostering, please contact my RescueConnect foster mom, Leanne, by calling 910-538-0106. You can't help but fall in love with me when you’re in my presence. My charm and sweetness just radiates. I can’t wait to meet you! Visit fb.com/A-forever-home-for-Thorah-108361561067283/ I am sponsored by Robyn Davis in loving memory of Brenna.
My name is Axel and I enjoyed my life near the Intracoastal waterway at Carolina Beach. Then big, noisy machines flattened everything! Now it’s time for me to start over...maybe with you? I am a quiet, sweet, and loving companion. Believe it or not, I will be happy in any home because it would be WAY better than the loud machines I got used to. If you would like to meet me, please come out to PetSupermarket at 3908 Oleander Drive. For information or to inquire about the adoption process, please text/call Melinda for at 910-471-6909, visit Adopt-An-ANGEL online at www.adoptanangel.net or check us out on Facebook at www.facebook.com/adoptanangelnc. I am sponsored in honor of all the wonderful foster mommies & daddies who care for homeless animals.
Happy Tails: Where Is He Now? Moose, featured in October 2020 “I have always picked up PawPrints Magazine whenever I see a new monthly edition,” says Becca Porter. “I love to read the biographies and check in on ones that catch my attention from month to month.” In October 2020, however, a new face greeted Becca from the pages: Moose at Freedom Bridge Animal Rescue. “His bio caught my attention in combination with his goofy picture,” she says. “I thought his name was very fitting and I knew that if I told Eric [Becca’s boyfriend, Eric Reinemund] about a dog named Moose, he would be so excited.” That initial excitement turned into a serious plan for adoption, a new experience for the couple. Here Becca describes the series of ‘firsts’ that led to Moose’s homecoming and the creation of a brand new life for all three. First Meeting: We met Moose at a local park and he was so wiggly and excited just to be around us! It was not love at first sight; it was more like excitement and nerves for both us and Moose. This would be the first time either of us would become a dog parent so we wanted to be cautious and make sure “Moose makes me smile or laugh every we were the perfect single day,” says Eric Reinemund, fit for him before pictured at home with Moose. officially deciding to adopt. It was important for us to feel comfortable and certain that we could give Moose a good home that would fit his needs. From the very first day though, we noticed how eye contact was important for him and we liked how he would look back at us to see what we wanted him to do. First Night: The very first night he spent with us, he did not want to fall asleep at all. It got to the point where I took a blanket and pillow and just laid down on the floor next to his crate to stop him from crying. As soon as I did,
he looked at me and laid down to rest his head. We both slept soundly there and, from then on, we learned that he needed to be able to see us clearly in his crate to sleep soundly. There has definitely been an adjustment period, which is why we wanted to adopt now while we are both home more due to COVID-19, but he is definitely adaptable and not too old to learn new things. I definitely think more people should give adopting grown dogs a chance! Nothing breaks my heart more than seeing a grown dog being looked over time and time again in PawPrints Magazine, but I always root for them (such as 14-year-old Nora at Carolina Basset Hound Rescue) to find their forever home. First Impressions: Moose is obsessed with his red Kong toys (yes, he has multiple) especially when they are stuffed with peanut butter. He also loves laying down on any and every blanket or pillow and cannot contain his excitement when it comes to butt rubs and scratches. Every time we are lying in bed under the covers, he butts his nose in and slides under until he is completely covered. He will cuddle right up against us until we get up. He would snuggle in bed like this all day if he could. He is the wiggliest and clumsiest dog. When you get home he wiggles from side to side and just leans up against you so you cannot leave again. Often times, he bonks his head on things or trips while on walks because he is so clumsy. First Time Pet Parenting: Moose has brought us comfort and joy despite his ever-changing moods. We have been able to become closer to each other as we have taken on this new role in our life together as dog parents. We love his goofy run (which is more like hopping sometimes) and his happy smiles. He makes us laugh and smile every day, especially when you need it the most.
Moose poses for a family portrait with Becca Porter and Eric Reinemund while on a Thanksgiving road trip in Virginia.

Simply stunning! That’s what folks say about me and my beautiful blue/white coat of fur. I’m a Pit Bull girl (A421604) weighing in at the nice size of 49 pounds. Not too big and not too small! I’m a youngster at around 2-years-old and I’m already spayed. My friends at the shelter say I’m strong, playful and very smart. You can see my intelligence and curiosity in my pretty face, can’t you? I’d love to be part of a family where I’m the only four-legged member. That way we can become the best of friends and I’ll have all the treats and toys to myself. Please call New Hanover Sheriff’s Office Animal Services Unit at 910-798-7500 for directions to the shelter or any questions. And start thinking of a great new name for me!
Hello, PawPrints readers! My name is Bambi (A125390). I’m a 3-year-old spayed German Shepherd girl who enjoys an active life and exploring all of my surroundings. I came to my shelter friends as a stray but I have quickly adapted and they assure me that no matter what my past life may have looked like, my future is better than ever! My adoption fee includes a physical examination, heartworm test and rabies vaccination. I hope you’ll come and see me soon, but first please make an appointment with Brunswick County Sheriff’s Animal Protective Services by calling 910-754-8204. They’ll be glad to set things up or answer any questions. I look forward to meeting you!

SOAR (Southport Oak Island Animal Rescue) Please call 910-457-6340 to adopt us! ◄Howdy! I’m Savannah, a gentle Southern Belle with lots of love to give to a wonderful family. I know, it's hard to believe by looking at me - or by even being around me - but I am 6-years-old! They think I am some type of Australian Shepherd mix except I have shorter legs. They say I am super-sweet - but I am a little shy probably because I was "bullied" a bit by other dogs at my old house. I would love for you to stop by, say Hi, and get to know me! ♥
SOAR call is open to the on Please about ourpublic low cost Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday spay/neuter program.

◄Hello, my name is Doris! Guess what...my very first birthday arrived last month in December and I would like nothing more than to be in a new forever home to celebrate! I’m a Husky girl who is a little shy but very sweet. I have been working hard on my leash-walking skills during strolls around the shelter grounds and they say I’m doing very well! I’m looking for a patient person or family who has had previous experience with the Husky breed. I am a wonderful girl who just needs some time and training from my new family. I am so worth it! If you’d like to know more about me (or anyone else on this page), please call SOAR at 910-457-6340 or come out and meet us! ♥
They are closed on Thursday and Sunday.
▲We are Jack and Jill - a brother and sister duo who came to SOAR three months ago! Jill (pictured on the left) is a little more timid than me, but we are both super-sweet and love to be petted! Jill loves to play with her green bouncy ball and I love to play with Jill’s tail! We are really hoping that we can be adopted together. How about it? ♥
▲I’m a pretty little girl named Stella and I was found all by my lonesome in a parking lot! I don’t know how such a thing happened to a darling like me. I’m around 1-year-old and I can be a little shy at our first meeting, but I’m so very sweet once I get to know you! I’ve been to the vet and I came through with flying colors - I’m up to date on vaccinations, I’m spayed, I tested negative for FIV and FeLV and I’m litterbox-trained. If you’re looking for a gentle and sweet girl to share your life with, pick me! ♥

ADOPT A FOREVER FRIEND YOU WILL BE THEIR HERO Hello! My "official" name is Benji but everyone calls me Annie. I like Annie better. My rescuer thought I was a boy but at the vet, they found out I was female. So my people called me Annie. My human companion became ill and had to go into a skilled nursing facility. I was left alone in the home until finally her family decided it was time for me to find a new home. Now I am living with a foster and other friendly cats. I am a big laid-back girl who loves attention and treats. I get along great with other cats. I think I am rather cute with my white and tabby markings, especially on my pretty face. I am still a young lady at a year and a half old. I am vaccinated and I tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV. Won't you consider me for the New Year? I really, really want my own people again! To meet me or to ask any questions, please call 910-262-8890.

All 4 Cats Adoptions by appointment. Call / text 910-707-4372 or email email@example.com! ◄Looking for a kitty to play with your current cat? Have a dog who needs a feline cuddle buddy? I’m Luca! What's up? Because I’m a sweet and loving cat, I think everyone is amazing. I get along with all people, cats and dogs and I’m also super affectionate and snuggly. If you have hands, you should most definitely use them to pet me. In fact, I would really just like to be around you as much as you’ll let me. Don’t you agree it’s a fantastic idea that I become your new best friend? You be the big spoon and I’ll be the little spoon. I am vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, FIV/FeLV negative and on flea prevention. Hope to love you soon. ♥ ►Hey y'all, I'm Miranda. I am a very sweet and independent girl. I enjoy getting lots of love when I am in the mood. I would love a family who doesn't mind my independent nature. Oh and someone who loves getting head bonks. That is one of my favorite things. Did I mention I am extra polite, too? I am up to date on all of my vaccinations and I am already spayed. I am just waiting for the purr-fect family to take me home. ♥ ►Hello, Merry is my name. I am a super sweet kitty who would love to be part of your family. I am very curious and will really enjoy getting to know you and your home. I love to play and snuggle. In fact, how about we curl up together on your couch for a Netflix binge? I get along well with other fur-siblings whether they are canine or feline. Could you please take me home with you? I promise to make your life and the new year filled with happiness. ♥
►My name is Leah and I am just as sweet, gentle, and relaxed as I look. I’m 2½-years-old and have been a mom several times. I am vaccinated and spayed so I’m ready to kick back and retire from baby making in a nice calm home with a loving forever family. Oh, did I mention, I’m as soft as cashmere? I would make the perfect addition to a calmer family who is looking for a very affectionate, constant companion. I am ok with other easy-going cats and kids as long as they are respectful. My foster home says that I have a beautiful purr and I enjoy being held like a baby. Can I come home with you? ♥ ◄Hi, my name is Baxter. I may initially be a shy boy but after I warm up, I am beyond sweet. One of my favorite things is being petted. If you could pet me lots, I would be in heaven. I also like feather toys, so we could even play a little. I enjoy the company of other cats. The cold weather is coming and we could help keep each other warm. I am up to date on everything and neutered. Please let me be your newest family member. ♥ ►Hey! Hey! Hey! Pippen is my name and snuggles are my game. Got extra room on your couch or bed? I would be happy to fill it. Do you enjoy a little game? I am a great player. I am also really curious so getting around my new home will be super cool for me. Have other kitties or a dog? No worries with me. I would love to have a sibling or two. Please make me your newest family member. ♥

Cat Tails Please call 910-253-1375 or email email@example.com to adopt us! ◄Do you have lots of time on your hands now? Are you blessed with lots of patience? I’m Ernie and I have beautiful marble swirls on my side. This is my brother, Ezra, and he is the longhaired one. We’re just 6-months-old. Everyone thinks we should have been adopted by now but we’re afraid of people! I don’t know why nobody has been mean to us. We’re just living in 2020 and carrying a suitcase of worry. So if you have the time and patience and can help us unpack, we would love to know how wonderful life can be as cherished family members. Please give us a chance! ♥ ►Have you ever seen such beautiful eyes? I inherited them from my mother. She’s a Persian cat and my eyes look just like hers. My name is Etta and I’m a gorgeous, long-haired Calico. I was previously adopted, but now I’m back. I wanted to be an only child and had trouble getting along with the other animals and children in the home. If you would like me to be your one and only, please consider adopting me. We’ll be each other’s faithful companions and share a life of love. ♥
◄Don’t be a wiener, adopt me! I’m a 2-month-old, adorable orange Tabby named Hot Dog. I didn’t get the name by acting all crazy and showing off. I got it because I spend all day sleeping in this stuffed ‘hot dog bed’ you see in front of me. I also got that name because I was sleeping at the Dawg House Grill and they specialize in hot dogs. Really, it was the only name that fit! Just think how fun it will be to call out, “Hot Dog, come here, Hot Dog” and have a sweet little feline come running up to you. Or when something great happens (Hot Dog!), I’ll be right there to share the moment with you. ♥ ►I’m Jethro. I was found in a dumpster, but I’m definitely not trash! I’m a confident, little Tabby kitten who got caught in an unfortunate situation. Now, I’m willing to bet your home is nicer than the dumpster where I was found! So maybe you could come get me? I am current on age appropriate vaccinations and have been neutered. I bet we can make the new year better by having each other to love on. ♥ ►Everyone loves a Calico kitten. I have lots of white, but my tail and a few other spots are all Calico. I’m exceptionally sweet and I get along with all the other cats. So come to Cat Tails and ask for Lita. I’m spayed and vaccinated. If I’m still there, you should scoop me up and take me home! If I’m already adopted, there are bunches of other kittens and cats of all colors and sizes here who are willing to love you. ♥

My name is OREO and I’m a Chihuahua boy who is about 2-years-old. I weigh 8 pounds and, as you can see, I’m colored just like an Oreo cookie! I have a long story, but if you stick around long enough to hear it, you’ll realize I’m truly worth it. While I’m not a social, outgoing dog and likely won’t be, I am sweet and deserving of love! I came into rescue from an irresponsible backyard breeder where I lived outdoors and had no socialization. Chihuahua Rescue and Transport had their work cut out for them, but I’ve come a long way. I still have a ways to go, but I will get there one day, with the right family to love me. I’ve been in foster care for over a year. My foster mom and dad have successfully weaned me from the corner I lived/hid in, and watched as I gradually integrated myself into the household. It’s been small, baby steps the entire way and now I freely roam the downstairs. I find the unfenced world a scary place, but I eagerly go outside in the fenced backyard, and will jump up on the couch to take a nap. My favorite places are dog beds, the blanket on the couch, or backyard in the sunshine. I am a creature of habit and do not like change. Moving to a new place will provide a new set of challenges, but with your patience and dedication paired with my desire, I will succeed. I’ve lived with the same routine for a long time and have done well with it. I am very food motivated, but also stubborn. I am still learning to accept gentle touches and would do really well with someone who has time to work with me. Each night I jump up to snuggle with my foster mom, and as simple as that sounds, that’s a really big deal! I am crate-trained and sleep in my crate at night. I get up in the morning, wag my tail and get excited for the day! As for potty-training, I teeter on the threshold of knowing that I need to go outside. But I have a spot inside where I tend to go. My foster mom leaves a pee pad there and I pee on it regularly. I am a flight risk - a large one. I am very frightful of loud sounds, new people, and need a very, very patient family. I don’t like strangers and would not be a good fit for small children. I bark at all visitors and sometimes even nip their ankles! My foster mom and dad feel I’ve come far enough to move to a dedicated forever home with folks who will successfully help me integrate and live a life of luxury. I would do best in a home with small dogs. I love to play and I do really well following the pack. I would likely not do well as a single dog. I will come to you when called, especially if treats are involved or if I know it’s meal time. Every milestone I reach is a cause for celebration. My new family should understand it will take time for me to trust, and that I will not make best friends with new people easily. I am neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and on prevention. For more info, please call Pamela with Chihuahua Rescue and Transport at 480-601-0209 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. An application must be submitted and approved before a meet and greet can be scheduled. I am sponsored in loving memory of Sprout, KC, Babe, Grace, Beauty, Frodo, Sassy, Max, Twinkle, Casper, Coach, Flower, Nell, Duffy, Melody, Whisper, and Raspberry.
Feline Urgent Rescue and Rehab (FURR) Call 864-483-2444 or email email@example.com to adopt! ►You won't find a prettier kitty than me! My name is Lilac and I have GORGEOUS blue eyes and lilac points. I'm also called a Lynx Point with my striped legs. I am a rescued kitten and lived in horrid conditions until FURR saved me. I am healthy now, getting fat and loving all the attention that I get. My fur is super soft and I have a wonderfully kind demeanor. I am a teensy shy still, since I have never been with people before, but I am learning fast that this is the good life. I really think that once you see me, you will fall in love with me! How could you not? ♥
◄As a playful teenager, I like to roll over and have my belly rubbed, and then I will take off and run through the house! My name is Tubi. Since I was born in foster care, I have been handled since birth so I have a great personality! Look at my adorable white booties and my fur is super soft. I really have a ball playing with my siblings (there were seven of us) and our fur mom is tired of us jumping on her. Won't you give me a loving home to run around in? If you are looking for the whole package, that would be me sweet, soft and playful! I do love my sisters. A great idea would be to adopt a pair of us together so we can have a BFF to hang out with! Come and visit me soon! ♥
◄We are the "odd couple” but we love each other! I am Pinky and at only a couple years old, I have had a very, very tough life until FURR rescued me. I am a beautiful boy who’s snow white with pink ears. I am a big kitty and very affectionate. I was found as a stray and have thrived in foster care, so now I’m doing very well. I can't wait to be with Hooters in a home of our own. My BFF, Hooters, is a very tiny girl, about a year old. She is very attached to me and I look after her. She was rescued on the side of a busy highway. We look like the odd couple, but we do great together! We need a true cat lover to care for us and help us continue building our confidence. Both of us are super soft kitties, love to be held and can bring a lot of joy to our new family! Please come and visit us soon. Aren't we just the cutest couple ever? ♥ ►I’m Telly, a silly teen who is ready to play! Please give me a home with lots of room to run around and play with one of my sisters. I am very, very sweet and people love me. You should feel my soft fur which makes me purrrrr. I would be a great addition to any household with my amazing personality. I was born at FURR since my mom, Google, was rescued right before she had me and my six siblings. Everyone needs a fun kitty like me in their home. Come and visit me at FURR and you are sure to fall in love with me. I would really love to be adopted with one of my sisters since we have such a good time together. Please consider adopting us, or maybe even our mama! ♥
►Let’s chill together. My name is Netflix and I hope to stream all of my love to you. Look how beautiful I am. I am one of 6 little girls born at FURR! I have been played with and handled since birth and I am super-duper sweet. I love to be around the action and I can run and play like the wind. My sisters and I have a lot of fun romping around and looking for trouble - but only the good kind, of course. My fur is really soft, so people love to hold me. I have the kindest personality and am very loved by the people at FURR. You will be totally entertained if you adopt me. The fun never stops when I'm around. ♥
◄My name is Crackle and I am gorgeous! Just look at my fluffy tail and my long, soft fur! I am the sweetest kitten ever. I have been socialized and handled since birth and just love to stick my butt up in the air when you scratch my back! Playing with my siblings keeps me busy, but I am ready for a permanent home! If you meet me, you’ll want to take me home because I am the purrfect package: looks and personality! Why, I could be a calendar kitty this year! I have three more sisters and a brother ready for adoption, too. I could go by myself and be a big girl, or I would love to be adopted with one of my siblings! ♥

►My name is River and I am loving, playful and full of purrs. I am a young black panther with soft, deep velvet fur. I am great with cats, dogs and active households. I like to talk and will join you in the bath or shower if you let me. I will need a little time to warm up to you but when I do, I am a lot of fun. Come meet me at Petsense in Wilmington (located next to the Harris Teeter on College Road at Shipyard Boulevard). ♥ ◄My name is Suade and I was found with my siblings in an abandoned camper. I love people, I am very playful and I get along well with other cats. I would do fine with kids and probably dogs too, if you introduced me slowly. I am a rare pastel Tortoiseshell so you better hurry to come get me. Come meet me at PetSupermarket at 3908 Oleander Drive. ♥ ◄My name is Missy and I was left behind when my owners moved. They left me and my 4 kittens behind to fend for ourselves. We were rescued by an Adopt-An-ANGEL foster family and all my kittens have found homes - so now it's my turn. I am a sweet, loving cat but I do not like it when you touch the base of my tail. I will need time to adjust to other cats but I become a loving companion once I get to know them. Please call or text my foster mom, Jill, at 910-620-3783 to ask about me. ♥
►My name is Arti and I am a young, 50 pound black and tan Coonhound mix. I’ve had a real rough start. You may remember me from the internet where my picture was widely circulated - I was carrying a dead turtle in my mouth for food. I am smart and I evaded my capturers for quite some time. Eventually, I was trapped and turned in to Animal Control. I was very underweight, scared and I needed some extra TLC, so they asked Adopt-An-ANGEL to help me. Admittedly, I can be a little slow to warm up to you, but I am an absolute sucker for food. If you give me treats or a good meal, I will love you forever and be completely devoted to you. I seem to do well with other dogs, but could have some prey drive for smaller animals due to my hunting background. I love routine, consistency and knowing that my next meal is coming. I am neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped and heartworm negative. If my story touched you and you would like to meet me and offer me some tasty treats, please use that smart phone of yours to call Jill at 910-620-3783. ♥ ◄▼We’re Handsome and Jasmine. We are a gorgeous brother and sister pair and we were abandoned by our mother. I’m an orange Tabby and the dominate kitty here. I’m out-going, playful, and love attention. If you reach out to Jasmine, she will roll
right over and asks for a tummy rub! We are playful, affectionate and love to be held. And of course, we would like to be adopted together. Please come meet us at Petsense at 1215 West Gate Drive in Leland or call Jackie at 910-523-9719. ♥

I seem to do well with other animals and kids, too. I am current on vaccinations and neutered. Please come meet me at Petsense (1215 West Gate Drive in Leland) or text Jackie with Adopt-An-ANGEL at 910-523-9719. ♥ ◄Meow, meow, meeoow. They call me Shadow. I was a stray in someone's yard, but luckily someone rescued me so I can become a pet someday. I am very sweet and very social. I am an adorable Tortoiseshell teenage kitten who would love to curl up under your Christmas tree (even if it’s still up in January). I would do well in any home and I am not picky. If you would like to meet me, stop by Petco at 324 South College Road (near Market Street). ♥ ◄My name is Shiloh! I am a wonderful 4-year-old Pit Bull who needs someone to love me and adopt me. I lost my home when my owner had to move unexpectedly. I am house-trained and have good house manners. I am devoted to my family and I love older kids, too. I have never lived with other pets before so I would prefer to be an only pet. If you would like to know more about me or would like to set up an appointment for us to meet, plese call my foster mom, Jill, at 910-620-3783. ♥
►My name is Raven and I am a breathtaking Bombay mix kitten with deep velvet fur. I am the runt of the litter and tend to be smaller than the rest. But you know what they say? Big things come in small packages! I was rescued with my two siblings from an abandoned camper. I am sweet, sometimes reserved, and do love playing with my siblings. I would love it if there were other pets in my household or some kids to play with. Please come meet me at PetSupermarket at 3908 Oleander Drive. ♥ ◄My name is Pretty Petunia. I am a low-key, sweet, and affectionate girl who loves a good head rub! I am a young girl who was found running loose as a stray and no one came to look for me. I seem to do well with older kids and other cats and I do not seem to mind a dog. I am a rare Tabby/Calico so you better come running quick. Won’t you come meet me at Petsense in Leland (1215 West Gate Drive)? ♥ ►It’s so nice to meet you. I am Skylar. I was a stray when I fell into a huge hole left by a stump! I was stuck! Luckily, someone heard me hollering and saved me. I'm very outgoing, playful, energetic and loveable. I seem to do well with cats, dogs and I am a lot of fun for kids, too. If you’d like to meet me in purrson, come to PetSupermarket at 3908 Oleander Drive. ♥

Hi, my name is Biggie. I am about 1-year-old and was found running on my own in Bladen County. Everyone thinks I am a Boxer and bully breed mix. I LOVE my foster parents and my foster brother, Rush, although he doesn’t always want to play as much as I do. My foster parents tell everyone how smart and sweet I am. I still have a lot of puppy energy so I think a fenced-in yard would be great and active parents would be awesome! I am house-trained, up to date on CORE vaccines, heartworm negative and neutered. I also have something called a “chip” so that if I ever get lost (don’t worry, I won’t), they will be able to find my people. I was recently tested for heartworms and it came back negative!! YAY! I love to snuggle with my foster brother and my humans and I love to play. My foster parents tell everyone it’s just puppy playfulness, but I am a little big so sometimes it seems like I have too much energy. I really like to make my humans happy. I go to the crate when it’s time to take a nap or it’s bedtime and I really love it there. I would love to find my furever home and just romp and play and love my new humans. I would probably enjoy having another furry brother or sister to play with who’s younger - that way we can play for a while. But that isn’t a deal breaker, as long as I get exercise and play time with my humans, I’m good. Hope you love me! Contact Diana with Freedom Bridge Animal Rescue by calling 843-614-0231 or emailing email@example.com. I am sponsored by Cape Fear Spay/Neuter Clinic. Thank you! Just look at my face! How could you resist me? My name is Chatty Cathy and I was a mama kitty with babies when FURR rescued me. I was SO happy to be safe and have food! I am the sweetest thing and just LOVE belly rubs! I get so excited about being rubbed that I roll over a lot! I will talk your ears off, especially when I want a cookie! I am 3 to 4-years-young and all of my babies (except one, Persimmon) have been adopted! Please give me a chance! I would love to stay with Persimmon if possible, but I just need someone to love me! I like to play with string toys and I'm a really good kitty! I use my litterbox religiously and eat up all my food. Call Feline Urgent Rescue and Rehab at 864-483-2444, visit www.catfurr.org or email firstname.lastname@example.org to adopt! I am sponsored by Ocean Grill and Tiki Bar in Carolina Beach and in loving memory of Bess.
Pender County Humane Society Please call 910-259-7022 to adopt us! ◄Out of all the cats at the shelter, I’ve been here the longest! When will my human be coming for me? My name is Camille and I’m a 2½-yearold spayed pastel Tortie who is as pretty as a fine work of art with my stunning coat and green eyes! I’m a very sweet girl who welcomes attention from humans as well as back rubs. I’m also vaccinated, litterbox-trained, FIV negative and I’d love a quiet home to call my own. Let’s meet! ♥ ▲Hello there, my name is Twiggy! I’m a 1-year-old Hound mix boy. I’m a bit shy at first, but I warm right up with just a little time and am happy to give kisses and lots of love! I am friendly with dogs and even those purring creatures called cats. I also would love to play with children. I am neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. Won’t you call the shelter and find out more about me or arrange a time to meet? I’ll be a great new family member! ♥
The shelter is open to visitors by appointment only. Please call 910-259-7022 to make your appointment. ◄Hello potential new family member, my name is Rosie! I’m a 5 to 6-month-old baby girl, ebony in color, and I have a lot of love inside me! My story began when a shelter volunteer found me on her porch one morning. All I wanted to do was give love and affection. Unfortunately, the volunteer is allergic to felines, but she did everything she could to take care of me until Pender County Humane Society could take me in. Another volunteer took me home for a few days until there was space at the shelter. I was great in the home and I loved chasing toys throughout the house. I think I would prefer to be the only kitty in your home, though. That way I can get all the lap-time! I’ve received my kitten vaccinations, I’ve been microchipped and I’m spayed. Give my friends a call so I can see you here! ♥

◄I’m an adventurous, affectionate kitten girl named Dee and I’m ready to make your life a whole lot happier! I’m 5-months-old now, but when I was just 4-weeks-old I was found following a farmer around the yard. I’m now at the shelter and learning how wonderful it is to live inside! I’m a bit shy with new things but, once I decide all is well, I will cuddle and follow you everywhere. I am doing great with the older cats. They are teaching me all the kitty manners I will need. I do like to explore everything around me until I find the perfect place to sleep or maybe look out the window. I am spayed, vaccinated and litterbox-trained. Won’t you please make an appointment to meet me? ♥

Paws Place Send inquiries for adoption to email@example.com or call 910-845-7297. ◄Hi there! I’m Dozer, a friendly fella with boundless energy who likes to play and take walks. I love my toys and stuffed animals and hugging people, too! At 4-years-old, I’m young at heart and want nothing more than to be part of a family. I am heartworm positive, but please don’t let that scare you because Paws Place will take care of getting me treated. It would be awesome if you had another dog similar in age to me. I could be your next amazing family addition! ♥
◄Hey there – it’s me, Genesis – you know, the good-looking girl with the biblical name! If you enjoy an active lifestyle, pick me - I’m a single, athletic, playful gal looking for a guy/gal (or family) to have fun with. At 3-years-old, I’m a Shepherd mix who is into running, the outdoors, playing and being part of a loving group. I am just as comfortable with belly rubs and affection, too! I’m super-smart and ready to find my forever family and play buddies. ♥ ►With just one look at my precious face, you’ll see the sweetness in my eyes! I’m Gretel, a young Retriever/Lab mix who is searching for my fur-ever home. Let me brag on myself for a minute: I know commands, am friendly with both dogs and people, and I walk well on a leash. I am a playful gal who would love a home where I can bounce around in the backyard, play with fun toys, and provide you with a fuzzy snuggle buddy. ♥
▲Hi, my name is Cleo! Happy tail wags and sweet smiles are just a couple of my fantastic features. I’m a 3-year-old Terrier mix girl, just 30 pounds, and I tend to be more of a gentle old soul. I’m searching for a home where I can play in the backyard and curl up on the couch for some cuddle time. I might be a tad bit shy at first, but once I’ve warmed up, I am a friendly little lady. ♥ ◄Hello from me, Chester, the handsomest Hound on the block! I have a friendly smile and I like to carry on conversations with everyone. Being a bit older (8-years to be exact) I have a few medications, but nothing that will hold me back from being in a loving home. I’m not a big fan of the Spa treatment (baths), but I get through them, because if I am a clean and good-smelling fella then I can cuddle on the couch with you! ♥
◄Why hello there! My name is Marvin and I’m a 2-yearold Hound mix who is sweet as honey! Call me Mr. Manners because I listen well to commands and am such a polite boy. I get along with other dogs and enjoy playing with toys. Going on walks is another favorite activity of mine. The home I’m searching for is one filled to the brim with affection, adventures outside, and tummy rubs. If you’re searching for a cuddle-bug like me, please come by! ♥

Looking for beauty and brains? Well, come and look at me! I’m Chilli, a 1-year-old Alaskan Husky girl who is hanging out at Paws Place with some of my family members through no fault of our own. I am looking for an individual who understands my needs and wants. I do great with my siblings but am a bit shy with people. I’d love to have a quiet home with a big, fenced yard where I can exercise and then cuddle up on my soft bed inside. If you’re interested, please come and meet me. I will be glad to show off my good looks to you! We are open Tuesday thru Saturday from 10am to 2pm and no appointment is necessary! Call Paws Place at 910-845-7297 or email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions about me.
My name is Betsy and I’m a very special cat. Due to no fault of my own, I was surrendered by my owner. I have been trying very hard to adjust to life at the shelter. I am up to date on my shots and have been spayed. Because of my age (11-years young), I am very quiet, I enjoy a good nap, and I would love to be the only cat so that I can get all the attention from my humans! Every one of the volunteers (and I mean ALL of them) adore me but they have other animals, so that means I need you to adopt me. I deserve to be pampered and cuddled! For info, please call Carolina Animal Protection Society at 910-455-9682, send and email to email@example.com, or visit www.capsrescue.com. I may seem a little rough around the edges but I’m full of sugar, spice and everything nice!

CAT: Cat Adoption Team Adoption Event Every Saturday: Noon - 4pm at Unleashed in Landfall Shopping Center ◄Did you know that most Orange Tabbies are males? Well, I’m 3-year-old Billie, and I’ve defied the odds! I arrived at Cat Adoption Team with my litter of kittens and I was the most loving and patient mother. I did a terrific job raising them and now it's time for me to get the undivided attention and love that I so deserve. I’m a quiet cat, somewhat reserved at first until I get to know you and trust you. I like to be petted and just hang out, watching the world out of the window. ♥ ◄I’m Sybil, a 3-year-old brown and orange Tabby who arrived with three tiny kittens. I was a good mama, protective of my babies and also shy and scared. I’ve come a long way since. While still cautious around new acquaintances, I enjoy being petted, scratched under the chin, and calmly hanging out. When you’re not looking, I’ll play with my toys and hunt for my favorite. I love to snuggle and groom my last “kitten”, 1-year-old Diamond, who is also available for adoption. I am probably good with older children, not young ones. Please consider adopting me! ♥ ◄Hello! I’m Mabel, a gorgeous 4-month-old black kitten who is fearless, outgoing and very active. I love to run around and play but, make no mistake, I am open to cuddling anytime you're available! I am good with other cats and with dogs, but I do not appreciate being barked at. Well, that's understandable! Please come meet me and see my beautiful green eyes. I’m so soft and fluffy, too! ♥
◄Hello, my name is Uno! I’m a 4-month-old Bullseye Tabby boy with a fluffy tail. I’m a loving kitten who appreciates being held and petted. I play well with other cats and I’m fine with dogs too. Meet me and other cats/kittens every Saturday from Noon to 4pm at Unleashed in Landfall Shopping Center, Wilmington. ♥ ◄My name is Linda. I’m a sweet, quiet, 2-year old black cat with the most beautiful white markings on my face and chest. Although I like some attention, I’m not too demanding and just like to quietly fit in. I am very happy to be petted. Young cats like me often get overlooked with all of the rambunctious kittens, but I’m the perfect age for adapting to a new family. ♥ ◄My name is Willard! I’m a 4-month-old silver/gray Tabby kitten boy who has been fostered with other cats/kittens and I was even introduced to the household dog. I am OK with the dog until the dog starts barking at me, and then I disappear under some furniture. I love to play with my siblings and I’m definitely not averse to some cuddle-time. I can be adopted by myself, but you might want to adopt me and another kitten since we are half the work. We will entertain each other, have someone our own age to learn with and be pals for life. To meet me, please text/call 910-599-2755 or email firstname.lastname@example.org . Adoption events are held every Saturday from Noon to 4pm at Unleashed in the Landfall Shopping Center in Wilmington. Perhaps I will see you there? ♥

Will you help us find a home for the New Year and FOREVER? We are a senior pair adopted from Adopt-An-ANGEL in 2007 and 2008 as kittens. We were recently returned due to allergies. Now, we are 12 and 13-years-old and hoping for a miracle. I am more outgoing and laid-back. Baby is more shy and reserved. She is on thyroid medicine which is inexpensive. The group provided us with senior panels so that any adopter would know what our health status is and because Baby is so skinny. That's how it was determined that she needed thyroid meds. We know it is a lot to ask, but being homeless in an animal shelter is not good for senior cats. We can languish and ultimately fail. Please circulate us widely to any true cat lovers out there who would like to adopt us. Please call our Adopt-An-ANGEL foster mom, Jill, at 910-620-3783 to adopt us or if you would like more info. She fostered us back in 2007 and 2008 and is once again providing us with lifesaving foster care. If you cannot adopt, please donate towards our senior panels (every little bit helps) on our Facebook page (www.fb.com/adoptanangelnc). It would be wonderful if we could be adopted together since we are truly bonded and have lived together for 12-years. One of our adoption fees will be waived to help seal the deal. We are sponsored by James and Stephanie Mayew. Thank you!

My name is Anya and my life’s motto is “I’m so happy I feel like bouncing!” At just a little over a year old, I’m a 37 pound Hound mix girl who is quite energetic and my middle name might as well be “playful.” I am searching for a home where I can keep an active lifestyle, but also snuggle up next to you at the end of the day. Playing with toys is oh-so-fun for me and I also love other dogs. I’d love for you to come by and meet me so I can wiggle my way into your heart! Paws Place is open Tuesday thru Saturday from 10am to 2pm and no appointment is necessary! Give my friends a call at 910-845-7297 or email email@example.com with any questions about the adoption process. I am sponsored by Cindy Meyers in loving memory of Harley, Murphy and Sophie.

Hello, I’m Baybee, a sweet and friendly 13-year-old Chihuahua who weighs 6 pounds. Do you see the heart on my forehead? I absolutely love beds and blankets and, like Goldilocks, I have to try them all. Being a senior, I sleep a lot and you’ll hardly know I’m around. I am current on vaccinations, I’m on heartworm preventative, I’m already spayed, and I’m currently being treated for Lyme disease and dermatitis - and I’ve been responding well to treatment. I get along with my foster siblings, both large and small, and would also do well as an only furbaby. I walk nicely on a leash and enjoy short walks around the neighborhood. I am also fully house-trained and have not had one accident. I came from an environment where I didn’t get much attention and wasn’t held much. Now, I enjoy lots of petting and allow my foster mom to hold me a little longer each day. If you would like to know more about me or to make me part of your family, fill out the adoption application online at www.chihuahua-rescue.com/ adoption-application and I’ll have my people contact you. For info, you may also call Pamela at 480-601-0209 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. ♥
Hi Everyone! My name is Kieren. First, I should make it clear that I’m sassy and I don’t have the greatest attention span – so forgive me if I get side tracked. Speaking of tracks, have you ever followed an animal’s tracks and chased them? Totes funz. I like to chase things. I currently spend a lot of time at a tattoo shop which is pretty interesting! Lots of people coming and going. I like people. One time this really big fellow came in and we played with my toy for a while. He threw and I fetched it and then he threw it again and I caught it again and then he threw it again and I caught it again. I like to cuddle so if you are sitting down, there is an approximately 129.66% chance I will try to lay on you. I really do love getting pets and love my walks. If you like to snuggle sometimes and walk sometimes, we’d probably be a cool match. I need to be the only animal in the house but that just means I get all the attention from my humans! For more info on our adoption process, application, and fees, email email@example.com, visit mpbf.org, or call Merit Pit Bull Foundation at 336-618-PITT. ♥
CAROLINA BASSET HOUND RESCUE I’m Maggie and I’m looking for my furever family. I have had some behavioral problems but CBHR sent me to behavioral school and subsequently to a tutor who worked with me. My current foster dad has also worked with me and, with his help, I’ve been making great strides. My foster dad and I’ve had a long talk and he tells me that this will be a good time for my permanent home to come calling. I will do well in a home without children or other dogs or pets, and I need an established routine. I will miss my foster Dad but will look forward to my permanent home. I really want to learn and if you’ll give me the opportunity to be with you, I’ll do my best to please you. I enjoy playing with toys and when it’s time for bed, a comfortable crate is my refuge. I’ve learned to enjoy my walks with my foster dad and I no longer fear other dogs and people. My foster dad will look forward to speaking with you and sharing with you just how far I’ve come in his care. For more info, call 888-909-2387 or visit us online at www.cbhr.com. ♥
My name is Nora and I'm 14-years-old. Yes, I am an older girl, but I have much more love left to give. Just ask my foster parents. They say I am good as gold and fit as a fiddle! I am a good all-around mature gal and get around just fine. I have good energy levels and my personality is shining through. I like people, other dogs, and am good in my crate. I will even use a doggie door! These days I am happy, healthy and like attention just like my dog roommates. If you are looking for an older lady with some pep in her step, I just might be your gal. I promise to repay you with lots of affection and tail wagging. So, how ‘bout it, want to bring me home? I’d love to meet you and tell you more about myself. My bags are packed and I’m ready for my own forever home! For more information, please call Carolina Basset Hound Rescue at 888-909-2387 or visit us online at www.cbhr.com. ♥

Our names are Teeny (girl) and Winky (boy). We are sweet, bonded orange tabby cat siblings with lots of love, snuggles, and head-butts to offer. My brother and I love snuggling up with each other in people's laps because we just love hanging out together, playing kitty cat soccer with our foster mom, and sitting on window sills watching birds or having movie night eating snacks with our foster mom. People love to see us together because we move the same and are very affectionate, always hugging or giving kisses and looking after each other. Teeny and I purr a lot, especially when we are being petted or when we are cuddling on a special person's lap. Winky especially has an inquisitive mind and is always curious about what is going on around him. We are very friendly and are looking forward to having our furever home together forever and never separating. Our bags are packed and ready to go! Please contact our kind foster mother if you have a place in your heart and a home for us. She lives local but has an out of state number: 310-697-6495. We are sponsored in loving memory of Dr. James Weaver.
Are you looking for a Certified Love Bug? Here I am, Inky, and I’m pleased to meet you! I’m at the top of my class when it comes to cuddling. The volunteers are always carrying me around (I like to be held) and I also have my Lap Cat certification, as lap-sitting is one of my favorite things to do! Yes, it’s safe to say the volunteers absolutely adore me. They know I will make someone so very happy once I am adopted! At 2-years-old, I’m an ebony boy who is neutered, vaccinated and litterbox-trained. I am also FIV positive, but it’s really not that big of a deal. Cats with FIV can live just as long as other cats, and our care is no different than any other feline. Just give us nutritious food, an indoor home, regular vet visits and lots of love! You can find out more about FIV online, talk to your vet or talk to my pals at SOAR. Their number is 910-457-6340. Please don’t pass up the chance to visit and get to know me. I’m an excellent companion! I am sponsored by SOAR in loving memory of all their wonderful, furry friends who made it safely to the Rainbow Bridge.
Fresh Start Rescue, Inc. To adopt, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 910-470-6299! ◄Hello people, my name is Frank and I’m a full-grown, male Bearded Dragon of unknown age. I eat pretty much anything you put in front of me and I really love attention. I would make an amazing pet for the right family. ♥
◄My name is Jade and I came in to rescue because my family couldn't devote the time a Chinese Water Dragon really needs. I am still super young and small but should be female. I seem healthy but I’m still scared of my new surroundings, so I spend a lot of time hiding. I eat a ton and I’m getting better with people. ♥
►They call me Shegor and I’m a sweetheart with a huge appetite. I eat my salads and my insects with no issues. Mmmm, yummy. I am always active and ready for my new forever home. ♥
►I’m a little Golden Gecko who came in with some other leopard geckos. My previous owners said we were all over 10-years-old but they didn’t fully complete the surrender sheet on us. I have not been sexed or handled very much yet. I’m very quick and prefer to be left alone. I have not been aggressive at all. You must have experience with my type of gecko to be considered a candidate for my adoption. ♥
▲Hi, I’m Roxy and I’m a tiny baby who was surrendered by a military family. I am too young to tell for sure if I’m male or female. I’m a little shy but generally, I let you pick me up - so handling training shouldn't be difficult. ♥ ◄My name is Sulfur and I’m a sweet, healthy girl who was previously adopted out. Unfortunately, I had to return to the rescue because that family was unable to keep me. I really want to find my forever home. I eat well and I’m easy to handle. To adopt me, you must know how to care for a Ball Python and you must have a proper set-up ready before taking me home. ♥
◄They call me Jake but my sex has not been confirmed yet. I am around 5-years-old and look to be a healthy size. I eat well on (frozen) thawed rats. To adopt me, you must know how to care for a Ball Python and you must have a proper set-up ready before taking me home. ♥ ►Hello PawPrints readers! My name is Ophelia and I’m a female Red Tail Boa. I am healthy and eat very well. I could use some work with handling. To adopt me, you must know how to care for a Red Tail Boa and you must have a proper set-up ready before taking me home. ♥
