Could I be your Valentine? I’m Queso Dip, a 1½-year-old girl who is the life of the party! I am very social, calm, affectionate, and easy-going. I get along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and children. I love to be held and petted. I am a goofy little adventurer who will always put a smile on your face with whatever I come up with next. I am missing half of my tail from an accident that occurred prior to my arrival at the rescue, but I think that just makes me even cuter and very unique! and we had a wonderful home for 4-years until our daddy died and someone took us to a shelter. We were so scared at that loud shelter with all those other dogs barking all the time. We just wanted to hide in our dog house and wake up from this terrible dream! After a couple of weeks, a really nice lady came to meet us and took us home with her. We love our foster mom and she made us feel so much better. We get to run around the yard and get lots of treats! We are neutered and vaccinated and have microchips so if we get lost, we can be reunited. My brother and I do everything together. We go potty together, we eat together and we sleep together. Wolfie is my best friend and I don't like it when we can't be together When our foster mom takes us for walks, I pull on the leash because I just want to get to where I am going. Wolfie is a slow poke and sometimes needs coaxing to walk on the leash. We don't mind being in a crate but we are mature enough to not tear things up like puppies do so you don’t need to crate us. I like all the attention people give me but my brother takes his time when giving affection. Once he knows you are a good person, he will give you a lick on the nose and sit right up against you. Did I mention we are big dogs? I weigh 90 pounds and Wolfie is 70 pounds. That may intimidate you, but we are just big babies and are not scary at all! We don't really play or wrestle, but prefer to just lay around together. My brother has a stuffed sloth he likes to carry around and he will bring it to you if he loves you. It's kinda cute! We like other dogs ok as long as they don't try to boss me around. We like to bark at cats so you probably shouldn't have any if you don't like a loud bark. Hi there, I’m a beautiful pup named Ariel! I came to C.A.R.E. with a traumatic injury that has left me with permanent coordination and balance challenges. Prior to being rescued, I was literally starving but just look how handsome I am with some meat on my bones. I went to the doctor and she told my foster parents that everything is great! No worms anywhere!

My shots are up to date and I am neutered. I'm about 4-years-old but I have the energy of a much younger pup. I guess that’s because I couldn't run around a lot and was stuck in a crate all the time. Since I didn't get to eat much, I do protect my food. My people said that I have enough love for humans that I don't need to have a fur brother or sister. I do like to play with bigger dogs, but I would just rather have my humans all to myself! I like humans of all sizes but the bigger ones are best so I don't knock them down by accident. I love having a fenced yard so I can do my zoomies and I really have fun on long walks (helps me with my energy).

Monty’s Home Goes Groovy With 60’s Theme for 60th Rescue Group

To celebrate the 60th group of rescue dogs chosen to be trained and adopted through its Pawsitive Partners Prison Program, Monty’s Home has chosen a 60’s theme in naming the new pups who are looking for loving families. Come meet "Flower", the only female in the group. She is an active 2-year-old Walker Hound and is pictured on page 8. "Groovy" is an adorable 9-month-old Yellow Lab mix.

"Hippie", pictured at right, is a beautiful, 5-year-old Golden Retriever. You can also meet "Woodstock", a 2-year-old Yellow Lab and the largest in the group. "Retro" is a 2-year-old, gentle, affectionate Walker Hound. All five are currently in the Pender prison where they are receiving training from specially selected inmate trainers. I’ve been blind for so long that I took a while to even want to open my eyes after they were better. I’m still a little sensitive to light but I eat so well now and I’m putting back on all my weight. ♥

◄Hi, my name is Spike and I’m a young Bearded Dragon who is about 2-years-old. Since I have neurological issues, I cannot hunt or chase insects and sometimes won't even tong feed (you have to make me eat). I tend to play in my salad and it’s unknown if I’m actually eating any If I am, it’s not enough to gain weight. I don’t really understand the concept of eating or drinking which means I need someone who is going to hand feed me every single day - so I don’t starve to death. I’m active and friendly and ADV positive. ♥

►Sadly, I came into rescue with a swollen jaw, which is one of the first signs of MBD in an Iguana. My jaw is healed and I’m gaining a ton of weight, but my bottom jaw is shorter than it should be. I am still very young and don't fully trust humans but I do allow petting as long as you are offering food. As you can see from my belly, I never turn down a good meal!
