A lonely college freshman in New York, Tracy’s life is turned upside down when she is rescued from solitude by her soon-to-be stepsister Brooke (Greta Gerwig, Frances Ha). After falling behind on mortgage repayments, construction worker Dennis Nash and his family are evicted from their family home by ruthless real estate agent Rick Carver (Boardwalk Empire’s Michael Shannon). In desperation Nash accepts a job with Carver and in a twist of fate crosses over into morally ambiguous territory, making a deal-with-the-devil.
