MINISTRY OF SOUND POSTERS

The Brief

Considerations

To produce a series of typographic posters that communicate club nights at the Ministry of Sound club in London. The posters should communicate the Ministry of Sound brand clearly as well as communicating the information legibly yet creatively.

Typography is the main consideration. Clear and appropriate type is necessary as these posters will be seen in public places and will be often seen from a moving vehicle. Unique type should also be considered and potentially bespoke typography.

Concept/Proposition

Colour is a major consideration. Ministry of Sound usually go for bright, in-your-face colours that communicate the high energy of the nights that they put on.

Ministry of Sound is known for its lively and energetic club nights that last until the early hours of the morning. This is something that is portrayed through bright colours and bold imagery within their brand. These are key elements to the concept that should be worked with to create an interesting series of designs. Background

Mandatory Requirements

Ministry of Sound in London is the most iconic nightclub venue in the world, run by passionate people with electronic music in their soul. 21 this year, it has the best sound system, the biggest DJs and the friendliest, most down-to-earth vibe. It’s your perfect night out where you can lose yourself in an atmosphere unlike anywhere else.

Use of the Ministry of Sound logo on all posters.

Target Audience

Deliverables

Ministry of Sound attracts clubbers and dance music lovers from all walks of life, with an average age of around 18-30. A night at Saturday Sessions will be the highlight of their month and will be something that they will plan well in advance.
